This place was my fourth accommodation in Zanzibar and I liked the most. The place is clean, nice staff, the manager is very helpful, the owner is very nice. And the room is big and very nice designed. The terrace is very cozy and relaxing. I would recommend to a friend for sure.

The room was very spacious, bed very comfortable. The aircon/fan kept the room very cool. The balcony was a lovely place to relax with a complimentary coffee in the morning. The breakfast exceeded our expectations, it was delicious and we were very full every day.

The staff was always extremely welcoming, friendly, helpful and gave us great tips and suggestions, helped us organize tours, etc. We got the room with the outdoor bathroom and we are happy we did as it was a great and unique experience! The room and all the premises were extremely clean and inviting. The location was great as it was very close to everything beaches, restaurants, money exchange, souvenir shops, bars, etc. Although it was not "beach front", it did not take anything away at all as it was extremely peaceful and relaxing surrounded by beautiful greenery. The breakfasts and coffee were by far the best breakfasts we had anywhere in our 2 weeks in Tanzania/ Zanzibar. Everything was just 100% spot on :)

Don’t hesitate, book it!
Writing this review after staying in 2 other highly rater hotels in Zanzibar, and I have to say that ATII GARDEN was our highest standard and a place we’ve been missing further.
- First, it is beautiful. The area is a cozy green garden, very quiet but close to everything. The rooms are spacious, it’s a real pleasure both to be inside and to enjoy own terrace.
- The design, furniture and materials are of a high quality and very thought through, you can feel the attention to detail. Everything is made with taste.
- The bed is super comfortable, it’s like you’re sleeping on a cloud.
- The breakfast was also very good. The restaurant itself was under renovation so was serving only breakfasts , but lunch or dinner could be arranged a day in advance.
- The staff was very polite and attentive, good cleaning done daily and quickly.
- The hotel provides beach towels in a special bag, and those are replaced daily.
Just a few little things for a perfection:
- Our sleep was a bit disturbed by some insects or worms obviously living in the wooden elements of the room. We didn’t see any of them, just heard the gnawing. It’s not the negligence of cleaning - it’s a natural thing which requires more treatment.
- The laundry service took 2 days instead of 1, and it would be nice to have the clothes ironed.

ATII Garden is located exactly between the two best beaches in Nungwi. It features a calm and quiet garden where you can retreat to from the busy beach and the hot sun. The breakfast is exceptional and Gil and Ricardo are helping with any needs, tx for the nice stay and that sugar cane juice ;)

The friendly service and garden area was nice. This is a cute little place and a decent location! It did serve its propose for a clean spot to sleep. The staff were kind and the food was really nice. We also enjoyed the company of Shamsaah the local monkey who would join us for bfast.
Interiors were slightly dated and facilities could have been nicer!a kettle/ more water in the room could have improved the overall experience. I was impressed with the photos but didn’t feel it quite matched up to my expectations. I might be bias as I have stayed in hotels and airbnbs that have been way nicer!that said it did serve its propose for a clean and cheap spot to sleep. Garden area was cool! The food menu was nice and I enjoyed the oats and mango.

The Room was absolutely awesome, Fan and Aircon, and a beautiful Interieur!! Bed was Handmade by the Owner and a piece of Art by itself!
The Breakfast is so delicious and more than enough to start your day right, Juice, Coffee and Fruitplate included, and don´t forget to eat Dinner and have some Cocktails at this Place, it is phenomenal. We ate there every single Day!!
The Stuff is so lovely and attentive you will love it!
And thank you for having us, for all your advices, help, and nice talks and that you made our Holiday to one of the best we ever had, we will be back for sure!!

Atii bungalows inner area is like small piece of paradise. So calm, so atmospheric, so clean. Very nice and always happy to help staff. Rooms are very clean, outside bathroom is just cool. Restaurant (breakfast, brunch or dinner) is just amazing. The food is so delicious. Monkey and cats accompany you during your stay so if you are a pet lover you will love this place even more. This was just a hit in the bull, totally recommended. Riccardo and team - you are doing great job.
Nothing to complain about actually. Specially compared to other similar accommodation on Zanzibar we have seen - this is really value for money.

The PLACE is a beautiful zen garden to relax, The ROOM was very big, bed comfortable, private patio, very clean everything!! The FOOD in this place is amazing!!! breakfast and dinner we had, all perfect. Laundry Service possible. we loved all small details, they gave us beach towels, fruit plate to thank us. A lot of quality for such a resonable PRICE! The STAFF was very kind and sweet! THE COCTAILS very good! the LOCATION very good! quiet enough place in the middle of very noisy village.

The staff was very nice and kind, and the place overheaded our expectations. Super calm, very cozy and the garden was awesome. Very well decorated, with good breakfasts where you have a small buffé and some hot dishes to choose (classic breakfast, avocado toasts, waffles...). They also have lunch and dinner, but we just test the smoothies (good as well). You always have good water in your room in glass bottles (they don't want to use plastic). Rooms very clean with very confortable couches in the terrace/balcony. The hotel looks like you see in the pictures.
Bed was a bit hard, but similar to other hotels we have been at in Zanzibar.

Very friendly staff, the food was amazing, especially all the tuna plates! We loved the outdoor bathroom. The garden is really beautiful in the evenings with the lights on.

Gorgeous property, comfy rooms, and lovely owners & staff. So peaceful while still being a short walk to the beach and restaurants. Hanging out with the resident monkey was icing on the cake.

Loved this place! The stuff was so nice. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of different choices of the menue. The room was spacious with an amazing view into the garden. The dinner was actually the best i had in nungwi (good portion and very tasty) and the room is very clean!. You must taste the amazing creation cocktails the barkeeper does. They are ace! Thanks for a fantastic stay!!

Great breakfast and friendly staff. Location is great, really close to the beach, markets and restaurants. I am not an expert, but the style (at least for me) is more like authentic, just loved it!

Sound isolation on the ground floor is not the best, you can hear the guests on the first floor.

-there was only one Russian hostess that was nice to us. everyone else and everything else was terrible.
-The hotel’s cat came to my plate and ate from it, while I was in a restaurant.
-Racism: Our friend was a local from Tanzania and we wanted him to wait in our hotel room while we change and leave our bags. When he entered the hotel, the Russian hostess and security approached us and they said that he needed to show ID. but only police has the authority to ask for ID. Then I said to her that his ID is at his house, she said if you let him in, it will be on your own risk!??? so the black, local person from Tanzania was a risk for the staff!!! afterwards, he got the ID, but the security refused to let him in anyways, saying that it was not him on the ID…. -.-
-Arrogant manager from Israel who was raising his voice when talking to me. he approached me in a very disrespectful way.
-They wanted to charge 50 USD for the airport transfer. however, I managed to pay 40 USD at the end. the average wage in Zanzibar is about 120 USD.

The place is super cute with a very nice garden and chill vibe. Tania gave us many tips and good contacts for some tours etc.
There is an amazing breakfast and staff that always has a smile on their faces. It's super close to two beautiful beaches and there are plenty of food and drinking options nearby. Hot water and Internet worked really well, the beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Totally recommendable!

Atii Garden is the best stay you can get in Zanzibar. The owner and his stuff were very very friendly, kind , always there if you needed help. The property is like a oasis, lot of vegetation and a cute monkey says hello every morning. It is not noisy and it s very close to the beach. The room was always very clean, the water had pressure and the breakfast had everything you needed to start a morning : good coffee, tea , different menu choices. I super recommend it .

The host and the team are very lovely and always helpful. The rooms are very spacious, clean and with nice little details. The AC and a fan worked perfectly to create a nice temperature in the room. The very green garden is a gem.

Beautiful and great place! The room and balcony was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The shower had hot water and good water pressure. The breakfast was very good, we can also recommend dinner and especially the fresh juices! The location was perfect: Near to everything, 2 Min. to the beach and at the same time it is quiet and peaceful. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. They responded quickly and took extra effort to make our requests possible. I even felt safe and comfortable when I became sick - one of the owners even drove me to doctor. We really enjoyed the accommodation which was like an oasis of its own in Nungwi.

We can only recommend Atii bungalows in Zanzibar! we had a very spacious and beautiful room with awesome outdoor shower. it is located a minute away from the seaside and they offer amazing breakfast on the cosy terrace. they helped us with the airport transport bookings and can also support with excursions.
