Convenient basics

The location is perfect as it is convenient to The Split, many restaurants and the beach.

Our room was a bit sparse.

Everyone was so welcoming. If we had a problem or needed anything a staff member was there to assist. My partner had the best birthday here!

Very good

We had the budget room with shared bathroom and only a van (no ac). The van was very loud so we turned it off at night and it got quite hot but other than that it was all good! Very good quality and clean for a hostel style room.

Misleading Listing

Good location. Cheap compared to other places on booking.com.

I forgot to read the negative reviews before booking this place. There is no fridge in the shared kitchen which I have never seen before. The host said it was broken implying a recent problem, but reviews indicate no fridge for a long time. I wanted to make my own ciffee with evaporated milk so host took my milk to the owner's fridge for me. Office is not open till 8 am and is closed on Sundays so was inconvenient. I requested a room in a quiet area far from the shared kitchen and any smoking area. Listing says smokefree property but designated smoking area is the dining tables by the outdoor kitchen and that area was right by my room. After complaining and being annoyed by cigarette smoke and kitchen noise both early and late, I moved to a room farther away which worked better. Shared bathrooms were tiny with poor ventillation, far from the rooms so it didn't feel safe at night, only one had hooks to hang anything up, no soap or toilet paper kept in them so you had to take it with you. I could rarely relax in the hammocks due to neighbors loud tv and cell phones. The listing says there is a private beach, but that is a dock across the road

could have be a higher rating, if it weren’t for the downside.

there is a nifty ridge right outside the office. me and my girlfriend both bumped our feet against it. I am pretty sure everybody does. can’t believe they don’t fix that

good stay, clean and pleasant

Well located sea front (little walking road in between) restaurants and shops, very clean big and comfy beds, little fridge, cups and glasses, table and chair, good pressure in shower and hot water, didn’t check the tv, many windows with thick curtains, air con very good. Staff very helpful and professional, use of kitchen and chilling spot with hammocks.

I had the front room so noisy early morning and dusty from the sand road and too many golf carts. there’s no beach in caye caulker per say...you can still swim but not very clean, the island is over populated and dirty, we see more and more big ugly concrete buildings that appears everywhere so caye caulker is loosing is laid back feel and no longer on my list

Really good location.

Really good location, 2 minute walk from the split. Friendly staff that were happy to help.

Basic room the bed was a bit uncomfortable but it was the most basic room.

Superb

One of the cheapest options on Caye Caulker. The basic room with fan is simple, but really comfy. The bed is good and theres space to leave your stuff. The location is great too, close to the main dock, snorkeling agencies, shops and restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful!

Super location, close to the port. In the middle of the island with chill atmosphere.

Quite a dark room with windows that had a problem to close. Otherwise lovely place.

Great but the reception guy.

the place is great, location is perfect, it is clean (the cleaning lady is one of the nicest person we have met) and the economy room (booked by mistake) was really really cheap.

because I accidentally booked the economy room, I went to ask if there was other room available. the guy at the reception was the was dismissing and condescending person I have met in the country so far. he assumed I was trying to make a complain (I hope) and therefore treated me in a very unpleasant way. a real shame as the place is nice and super affordable, but that experience left me a very bitter taste. if you gonna treat me like that, don’t call me « my friend » 25 times.

The location was extremely good. Only moments away from the "split" and the heart if the island.

A mini fridge in the accommodation would of been a nice touch.

A little gem, right on the beach

Great location, the staff were super friendly and let us check in early. Wifi worked well and they have aircon! Kitchen was an added bonus

Good location and facilities, just don’t pay using a credit card!

the location is good and the rooms are really reasonably priced with good facilities. they keep the place really clean.

I didn’t like having to pay a surcharge for using my bank card to pay for the stay. Their excuse was that everybody charges on the island which was a lie as I’d been on the island for a while and I had not come across this ANYWHERE, not even the other hostels I had stayed in.

Exceptional

Being able to cook a home cooked meal, relaxing in the hammock after a day’s activities. My friends enjoyed the room. Just because I don’t say much doesn’t reflect o the accommodations. Everything was good

The receptionist tried her best

unfortunately our room was stupidly hot, cockroaches on the floor, water from the thunderstorm came into the room. Although the staff tired to clean the room, we booked a “budget room”. No hot water for showers and the room didn’t look anything like the photos online.

the staff was so rude, they refuse to give us the room we have invited and gave us different room. the bathroom wasn’t clean and hot water was rare.

great rooms, cozy

we started in a room with a fan and commune bathroom but upgrated as soon ad we got there due to the heat. it was quick and the next room we got was amazing and cozy and was cleaned every day,. worth the money.

the last night we didn’t got any towels which was weird. the windows doesn’t have cover on them just see through blinds so if you wake up due to light you need to cover your eyes in your sleep

Ideal location in amazing Caye Caulker

Location was amazing and having the private deck area was great. Wifi was good as well as having your room cleaned everyday. Useful to be able to use the small outside kitchen.

The fan rooms do get really hot as others have said and going outside to the bathroom isn’t ideal but they’re fairly cheap so to be expected.

Good for the price

Room clean and comfortable; desk and chair a nice bonus at the price.

Shared bathrooms have a lot of mosquitos; a common problem in Belize but perhaps put something in the bathrooms to repel them? Just to note the shared bathrooms are outside so be prepared for wind/rain and for blinding lights first thing in morning if you need it then

Brilliantly located, excellent value and the staff were clear and helpful. The hammocks in the rest area were relaxed and the Blue Wave private deck is a great place to enjoy beautiful Caye Caulker views and a swim

The room got very, very hot - but we knew we'd signed up for fan only and not AC as it was cheaper! If you can't stand the heat, maybe spend a bit more for an AC room

The place is clean, well equipped and comfortable. You won't meet a lot of people there so it's also quiet and a good place to rest.

To be honest, as a guest it makes me feel very weird and unwelcome when I see signs everywhere that inform about additional costs, that might apply. It starts with the drinking water... Yes they charge for it... And then you find signs that tell you other things you will be charged for, if you don't do them correctly, like when you are in a room with 4 beds and booked only for 3, you can't use 1 bed. Even though some of those costs may be reasonable, in my eyes it makes the owner seem greedy and makes you feel less welcome. We had no problems there whatsoever with extra charges though... Because we knew what not to do...

Lovely and comfortable guesthouse

A lovely and comfortable guesthouse within walking distance to the ferry terminal. The rooms are cleaned everyday. The kitchen is equipped with the basic necessities. Room 1A has windows on both sides making it possible for the sea breeze to cool the room 😃 We loved our stay!

Unfortunately no fridge is there to use.

Great stay, and very food value for money!

The large outdoor kitchen was great and had some well needed shade for very hot days. We had the basic rooms without AC, but on the front side, se we got some wind from the ocean. The location is perfect, everthing is close by (okay, it is Caye Caulker, so everthing is quite close, but still...) Staff was super friendly and helpful; and the place was very clean and has a lot of green in the garden/kitchen area. Would recommend and come back!!!

A fridge in the kitchen area would be a game changer!!
