Disappointing stay at this beautiful heritage hotel

The building itself is very beautiful. Nice patios and gardens. Big swimming pool. Well maintained from the outside. Breakfast buffet is good and tasty. Friendly doorman at the entrance.

The room I got had a nice location, but was old, damp and smelly. The house keeping staff did their best to solve it. But it was still smelly. The mattress was really old and wasn’t firm or soft. It doesn’t give you a luxury feeling or a good night sleep. If you would like to use the desk in your room for computer work, there’s very little space because a serving tray is attached to the desk. Well, the staff in general was not attentive, not 4 or 5 star worthy. At the reception the staff was not helpful at all. For example they forgot to call me with the wake up service so I was lucky enough to be awake by myself so I could be on time in the airport. No apologies from the reception desk. And they didn’t want to give me back change because they didn’t had any change. When I insisted they suddenly had some change… and they couldn’t provide a printed invoice. The staff used the patios for their loud talks and kept the guests awake. Breakfast was really good, waiters weren’t aware of having guests and attend them. There was one lady who helped very well and was friendly and said good morning. The WiFi connection is unstable and you need to login every now and then to stay connected. Not a major problem, but it’s a bit annoying. The veg food in the restaurant was tasty but caused me food poisoning. That was my first food poisoning after 5 long India trips. So it’s not that bad, but be aware of it that it can happen also at Saraca. The swimming pool area is in need of some renovation. And umbrellas for the sun would be nice.

Very comfortable and I would recommend this hotel.

The heritage charm, the shaded courtyard and the room size.

The pool needs some work. The accommodation fee is good value but we found that everything else was over priced.

Gorgeous and comfortable boutique hotel

Beautiful property. Close to the heart of modern Lucknow. A havelli turned into a hotel. Courtyard access from all rooms. Splendid lawns and Bougainville decor

It was a repeat stay after many years and the property came good to our expectations.

Excellent Breakfast with wide range of cuisine with well thought out dishes, with couple of new dishes. The Chef had laid out a commendable board. The serving staff was equally good.

有歷史感的旅店一向是我喜歡的類型，這家很受歡迎。房間尺寸很大. 布置也有舊時代的感覺。旅館內餐廳的食口味一般, 但旅館旁一個義大利/亞洲餐廳卻意外比較好吃, 很少人去。

第一天check-in 時, 櫃台的小哥不太專業，給了不正確的資訊，自家天台酒吧開放時間也不對，讓我們撲空, Wi-Fi password 給了錯誤的, 又要我們跑回櫃台去換。可能是1樓最內側的關係, 沒什麼陽光, 房間有一點點因濕氣的霉味。另外, 餐廳食物貴。

The rooms and breakfast buffet were nice.

The management staff were extremely unprofessional. We had were told that our belongings were being moved into another room while we were out due to “maintenance”. When we returned back to the hotel we saw another couple moving into our room. We were offered no compensation or apologies for the inconvenience of having to change rooms halfway through our stay.

Outstanding stay

We had a wonderful stay and experience in the hotel Saraca Lucknow (Lebua until 31st of December). This heritage property holds a great history as it used to be the house of Nawabs. We were immediately transported back in time and could really feel the spirit of Lucknow. The room was nice, clean and the bed was really soft and comfortable. But what made our experience truly unique was the hotel staff; everyone was smiling, friendly, polite and very helpful. At the reception, both Abdulla and Gulafsha made sure we had a smooth check in and check out, they replied to all our queries and even gave us some recommendations about the city. Last but not least, the food and the Azrak restaurant staff. We booked last minute a table for New Years. The live music was great and we were gifted with New Year Eve accessories. Thumbs up for the whole organization. The buffet was delicious and we had the pleasure to meet the Chef Manish who took time for us. His hospitality and care were very much appreciated, the food was outstanding, excellent, and we can not thank him enough for his time and kindness. At the service, special thanks to Arman and Pramod who took very good care of us during the whole evening at the next day during breakfast. To sum up our experience, this property and its amazing restaurants really is a hidden gem in Lucknow, and shines especially thanks to its wonderful staff and history. It is still a bit underrated so we can only recommend our fellow travelers to visit this place

Just the toilet flush wasn’t working really well but when we told about it to the staff they immediately offered to send someone to fix it.

Charming property well located

Very charming property well located in Lucknow. The staff were all very lovely and helpful. The food in the restaurant was great.

The rooms were a bit dated esp the carpet and furniture but it’s ok for one or 2 nights. I got a corner room and I wished I had one opening into the courtyard (most rooms do).

Excellent boutique hotel just outside the humdrum of Lucknow

Excellent boutique hotel in a quieter part of Lucknow yet about 15 mins to Hazratganj. Beautifully decorated in period style. Amazing breakfast. Kind and attentive staff.

Got bitten by number of mosquitoes in the courtyard one evening. They did bring some repellent incense sticks but by then it was too late. Maybe defumingating in advance in the late afternoon will be a good idea

Bijoux in der pulsierenden Stadt Luknow

Zum 4.x in Indien - nie eine solch ausgezeichnete Küche erlebt, inkl. Frühstück. Schöne Zimmer, ein sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Personal; im Speziellen verhalf uns Sharad bei einer Buchung in einem anderen Hotel, welche nicht geklappt hatte bedingungslos. Echt toll! Kommen gerne wieder!

Stark klimatisierter Essbereich; schöner Garten jedoch kein Essen draussen möglich. Bar öffnete erst um 19:00 Uhr - wäre schön gewesen einen Apéro bei Sonnenuntergang über den Dächern zu nehmen

Lovely stay

Clean, quiet and excellent property. The staff would always greet and smile. The room was comfortable. The breakfast spread was sumptuous. And a special shout out to Satyam and Kalpana at Azrak.

Two major misses: A smart TV and an in-house spa.

Lebua - Lucknow

The overall feel of this hotel was good. Had an old haveli look. Big central space and sideways construction. Open area was neatly maintained. The staff was courteous and friendly. They even suggested their top dishes at the restaurant. Lebua had 2 restaurants & 1 roof top restro bar so overall a good variety was available. Food was delicious 😋

With so much open space, they surely do have a lot of bug related issues. During my first 2 days I witnessed 3 cockroach 🪳 in my room. And I am not talking about normal sized domestic roaches they were straight from the MIB set. Apart from the alien cockroach, room size was also a bit of a problem. This you may not observe instantly but you'll surely notice it when you will have to run for your life from the alien intruders 😂. Pool timings can be relaxed a little. Rest everything was ok. I personally believe that it was a bit overpriced but most of the hotels in Lucknow are.

Beautiful hotel, recommended.

This is a beautiful hotel, calm and lovely. The breakfast is great (tip: get a room which includes it as you will save money). The breakfast room is pretty and sunny. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Rooftop bar is super expensive! Worth a quick visit for a drink and a snack though, nice views of the lawn.

The staff was exceptionally polite and welcoming. The service was up to the expectation. The ambiance, location, etc. were also very good.

There was no proper cooling, the air conditioner did not work properly from 7am till 12 noon almost 5 hours and we weren't even offered any compensation or discount out of grace.

Very good

It was a lovely place, well located, excellent food though overpriced vastly. The room allotted to us at while checking in to the hotel was reasonable but due to the old drainage system I presume, the toilet was smelling bad, and my wife being as particular as she is, asked us to be moved to another room. When we saw other rooms, some were a little small and the rest had the same problem mentioned earlier. When we decided that we would move to another hotel, they ultimately showed us a suite room which was truly beautiful and had a non smelly toilet at the same price we had paid, we gladly accepted. It was really nice of them to do this upgrade us to a suite to satisfy us. After this the food in the restaurant was truly very good, as was the included in rate breakfast spread.

The photos for residency room and what you get in reality are very different. Felt cheated as the pics on booking.com and what the property actually give you are very different. Also on one of the days during the stay there was no hot water to have a bath. Staff is poor and lacks professionalism across front office and F&B service. Can barely speak decent English
