Highly recommended establishment

All the staff were amazing - couldn't ask for better. Service and food were really fantastic. We were very impressed. Fantastic location for the ferry.

The bed was too soft and the noise from the outside area was a bit disturbing, but that would be expected from a pub.

Stopping on the way to or from the Scilly Isles, it couldn’t be bettered.

If you’re catching the ferry to the Scilly Isles, the location could not be bettered. We had a quiet, comfortable room and a really good vegan breakfast.

A committed team which deserves success

Happy and involved staff. Good food. Real coffee. View of bay looking east towards sunrise from bedroom. Excellent cleanliness and maintenance. Management policy of keeping staff through winter.

Bed had a footboard - tall people can't lie flat! Strong smell of VOCs from solvent-based paint being used in redecorations.

Nice sized room, very clean and comfortable. Good en suite facilities. Great location for getting the Scillonian ferry

Some outside noise, which we expected being on a road and above a pub, but quietened a lot after 10pm

A great start to our family holiday

The staff were as before very helpful, polite and had a warmth which made us all feel very welcome. Although very busy when we arrived they attended to our needs in a professional manner. The food was very nice, great selection of vegan options and the breakfast was the best, All 3 rooms are clean and comfortable.

Fabulous!

Fantastic breakfast, lovely clean room with water and biccies as well as the normal tea and coffee, great location opposite terminal for the ferry. Charming, friendly staff.

Loo pumping system a bit noisy. Creaky bed.

Wonderful. We would recommend it and will hopefully return one day.

The room was beautifully appointed with a very nice bathroom with shower. The staff were lovely and very helpful and the food at both dinner and breakfast was excellent. Although there were no parking facilities as such, the staff were very helpful with recommendations. An overall very enjoyable stay, thank you.

Parking facilities are, obviously limited.

Scilly time to get up but worth it.

This was right next to the Quayside which was ideal for our transfer by Scillonian III to St. Mary's. Rooms nicely appointed and bed very comfortable. Noise abated after about 10.30 at night. Evening meals and breakfast very good.

Very noisy from about 6.00 am as ferry about to depart and was being loaded with cargo and noisy people. But if you are going yourself it's not a problem.

It’s perfect and our first choice in Penzance!

Has great character. Perfect location for sailing to the Isles of Scilly. Lovely room. Superb food and excellent staff, friendly and attentive.

We stayed five nights visiting the local area and meeting up with friends.

Well cited for the harbour, promenade, swimming in either the sea or Jubilee pool, both train and bus stations, Morrab gardens, Penlee gallery, the town. Our room overlooked the harbour and was very clean and comfortable. There is a good choice of cooked breakfasts. We ate there each evening and the food was excellent with a wide choice of dishes, the fish was exceptionally good and all reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Friendly, flexible, helpful staff; varied menu, comfy bed, warm, light and airy room. Good sized bathroom. It takes no time to reach the town centre. Traffic noise at night not a problem
