la vista desde el hotel es lo mejor, el muelle con hamacas fue nuestra parte favorita.
pedimos comida para la cena y fue cara y no era rica ni se veia apetitosa

The beach was quite and relaxing, they had kayaks and snorkeling equipment for no extra cost, all the staff was nice and helpful
There was some chairs facing the beach close to our room one night we could hear people there chatting and it was loud

I loved this stay!! i was alone for a little healing journey and just needed time alone. this was perfect, super quiet, clean, beautiful, easy and convenient. I cannot wait to stay here again!
nothing to say

Everything, except...
Hot water is a problem: it took ages to get lukewarm water. I guess they will find a fix and then this place deserves well over a 9

- pool very friendly for the kids
- location of the hotel
- very quiet and peaceful
- view on the beach
- you must avoid the rooms downstairs too closed from the reception

The hotel is in an environmentally protected area, so a beautiful location. Very nice rooms, very friendly and helpful staff who were always a pleasure to talk to. Located within a couple of metres of the beach. Fantastic evenings having family meals at a table next to the beach, watching the sun go down.
As the hotel is in a remote area, electricity outages happened for a few hours and some specific food and drink menu items ran out for a few days, but there were no major inconvenience and we just rolled with it!

Amazing hotel! If the beach and ocean were clean this would have been a perfect hotel.
Ocean is very dirty. We could not swim or snorkel. We used the pool to cool off.

View when sitting at the beach
We stayed 1 night en route to pyramids. They were attentive communications and ordering airport pickup. The place looks nice at first sight. I can only share our experiences based on the one night stay: 1) pool: rather a chilly pond. 2) beach: has a private beach with very nice view of the bay. The seagrass/ sargassum is cleaned exactly in those section but remains left and right. Of course nothing to blame the hotel but to be aware. Seagrass and currents, at least at our stay, made it quite unpleasant to go into the water. 3) hot water: we had no hot water from evening hours until next morning, apparently because the electrician did something wrong. 4) electricity: there was no electricity the whole night, hence no AC. Then AC started with klicking noises which kept us awake literally whole night. At 5am, we had the room next to reception and could hear everything, also other guests complained about the lack of AC and klick noises. At around 6:30am they started a super loud generator, I think to run the kitchen with power. And that noise stayed on until we left at noon. Regardless to say that drilling and other construction work joined the rumble. There was no mentioning when booking this place. 5) guest experience: at check you are asked to sign a document where you accept of not claiming any issues. In the same instance, you get told that when you lose any towel, when you break any glass, you pay extra. I have seen such “pre-warnings” only once in another hotel at Nusa and this does not match with my expectation of customer/guest experience. 6) Food: was okay. However, after cold shower, sleepless night, no power, supernoise from earliest morning the included breakfasy does not include a cappuccino and they seriously wanted to charge me for that! 7) rooms: spacious, beds are okay, one rubber plant in the room, nothing to get excited 8) Service mentality: no signs of regret, no “we really are sorry”, no attempt for compensation…

Beautiful location.

The resort was great! Very clean, nice facilities, good food, right on the beach, good beach toys, ... we had a great time. Breakfast each morning was nice. The kayaks, SUP, hammocks and reef made for lots of fun. Good value.
The shower drain wasn't always great.

Very nice boutique hotel! Beach front in Tulum is expensive in general, based on that, this property was reasonably priced for a great location! There is a gem of a cenote pretty much across the street. This gem was unknown to us before going, it made the location worth it!
The beach had so much Sargassum. Also, while the room was huge, clean and wonderful, it was hard to fit a family of four in this room because the sofa bed is truly a sofa that is the size of a single mattress.
7.0
nice room with sea view. quality of the room, finishing materials. super. Delicious Tacomas in the hotel restaurant
rooms without a sea view are very uncomfortable, dark, the beach is bad, the sea is dirty, algae, the entrance to the water is only to sail on a boat. small, stones. only look at the sea from the room

wonderful hotel on the beach, big clean room, helpful staff, very close to the cenote, quiet place

The property is exquisite! Clean, private, tranquil, and has lovely beach accommodations, including hamacas on the pier for relaxing. Good selection of food and drinks, and friendly, helpful staff. Perfect location not far from city center and Oscar y Lalo's Restaurant, which is a long time favorite. Cenote Manatí is gorgeous, and a very popular swimming and diving spot. The cenote connects via a scuba accessible cave to the bay. Loved it and will gladly return!!!
PS. The friends we were meeting up with from the US had a snafu with their reservation at another resort, and Cielo Maya were able to accommodate them last minute! Win- win! Got to hang out with them without the hassle of trying to get through the gate of their all- inclusive!
Not a single disagreeable thing to say.

Very nice boutique hotel. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Quiet location. Our kids (10-14 years) loved to paddle around with the Kayaks and SUPs (free). The hotel restaurant is a good option if you don't want to go out, but there are also other restaurants nearby. Tulum city center is about 10-15 min by car (20-25 min to hotel zone).

amazing ocean view from room. spatious room.
kitchen very basic taste.

Comfortable beds, generous sized room, shower with power. Dinner in the restaurant was good value, one of our best meals. Free use of kayaks and swimming equipment.
Breakfast was included in our deal and was very good.
My wife insisted on marking them down a point as there was no rope on her kayak to tie to a buoy near the reef. So after paddling out she was forced to stay with her kayak whilst everyone else went for snorkeling on the reef.

Everything about Cielo Maya is amazing. Let's start with the reception they welcomed us with a welcome drink ..the place looked exactly like the pictures (which sometimes isn't true). The food was great hospitality amazing. The staff provided great recommendations throughout our stay. Don't forget to book a massage on the beach .
If you have any doubts let me clear them for you book the hotel .It's remote enough for you to enjoy the ocean yet close enough to activities.
To be honest I didn't like the fact that I didn't find this gem sooner, and I didn't book a massage until our last day there.

Great breakfasts, lovely rooms and enjoyed the beach, pier and pool very much. We also did some canoeing which was a great bonus!
Would be good to have warning that we need more cash (not card) for the local area, as we would have brought more
9.0
the location, staff, onsite restaurant, full breakfast included.
some issues with internet connectivity. staff tried their best by connecting to own internet plans
1.0
Large bathroom and bed/living room with balcony.
A beach hotel without access to the ocean because of massive seaweed and large sharpe seabed rocks. WHAT!
Pricelevel on massage (+200% compared with neighbor hotels) and food and beverage (+50%compared with neighbor hotels) etc etc...
Pictures and description don't match reality. Hotelmanager needs a reality check and no way you can cancel your stay and gent your money back. They want your money and Booking.com can't do anything for you...
We where not the only couple complaining to management, without any solution or cancelation. Unbelievable!
Location is so isolated that you need a rentalcar at $40/day, also for driving to the beach 15 km north at the price of $20/day.

Nice hotel with a great view. Stuff is very helpful.
many corals and rocks at the sea. Hard to swim.
Far from Tulum center, but if you have a car very nice hotel.

Breakfast was good, views amazing.
Far from main beach and happening areas.

In the ocean, it is a few steps of the sea.

it’s such a beautiful property, in spite of its small size it’s very well kept
the rooms are very well stocked, well designed and spacious
all snorkel and kayak equipment are included and there’s is a cenote in walking distance of the hotel
I wish their food program was more all inclusive or could be charged to the room and then paid at check out
it’s a la carte and the food is good

Alexis was amazing as well as for the staff.
far from the Main Street and lots of see weed (which was cleaned daily). I was charged for towels that I stained with makeup and did not change for the whole stay. Nobody told me at the beginning.
