The location was perfect.

The room was spacious, the only disappointment we had was the fact that we booked a room with a king bed and were only given a room with twin queen beds. Also, some of the staff were extremely courteous, but on the same note, some didn't smile or looked unhappy.

Room cards didn’t function well. We had to take the stairs instead of the elevator way. It also had some of the worst food ever. I had to order an excessive amount of plates just to find something palatable. I really wish I had not chosen the all-inclusive package. It’s definitely way better to just get food from the centre. It’s 10x better.

Brenda, la mesera, fue sumamente cordial y profesional, lo mismo Glenda. Las recepcionistas de los restaurantes, en general también muy atentas, en especial Karla, quien tiene mucha chispa para las relaciones públicas. Hay un Bellboy alto que nos recibió que es también muy profesional y amable.
El trato del personal, con algunas pocas excepciones, no fue agradable. La soberbia y manera tan déspota de dirigirse hacia mi de la Gerente de Guest Service, Daniela, y el como se la pasa contoneandose por toda la planta baja o platicando por horas en Cachito con un joven directivo (supongo), no da para nada buen aspecto. Pasa a lado de uno y ni saluda. Me quiso llamar la atención por no usar tener el cubrebocas en el bar del Lobby sin presentarse, vestida de civil y con actitud grosera. La convidé a que me diga quién era y se dio la vuelta y le ordenó al de seguridad que me exigiera el cubrebocas y fue el propio de seguridad que le indicó que estando en el bar bebiendo si podía estar sin cubrebocas.
Arriba, en la piscina, algunos meseros casi exigen propina por adelantado o no te atienden. Andrea, por ejemplo, fue desatenta y seleccionaba solo a los que abrían cuenta porque le garantizaban propina. Nos ignoró en todo momento y aunque le pedimos bebidas decía que mandaría a otro.

La ubicación que está en una zona tranquila, agradable, cerca de la playa y la Quinta Avenida. Me gustó la habitación espaciosa, cómoda y tranquila, aunque triste porque la ventana no daba a ningún lugar, más a que una pared de vegetación artificial.
Me esperaba mejores instalaciones y servicios. La terraza me decepcionó porque es más pequeña de lo que imaginé. Resalta por la vista al mar que por sí solo siempre es espectacular, pero la alberca es pequeña y las camas insuficientes para poder pasar un rato relajándose ahí. Lo cual, además, es imposible porque el ambiente es de fiesta constante y nunca están disponibles. El servicio de los meseros es bastante dudoso, no sabes si te están discriminando por ser visitante nacional o si simplemente son lentos para atender y te niegan ciertos servicios, como las camas que siempre "están reservadas", incluso dando preferencia a los visitantes de Day pass sobre los huéspedes.
Este hotel está bien para cierto tipo de huéspedes (adultos jóvenes en plan de fiesta, por lo regular, y en su mayoría extranjeros). En lo particular, prefiero otro tipo de ambiente.
No me gustó que el All inclusive no fuera "All at all". Había algunas restricciones en el menú y otros servicios, como visitar los otros complejos de la cadena, que ya tienen un cargo adicional (bajo), pero aún así.

Stanza molto molto rumorosa con bar sotto aperto con musica a palla fino a tarda notte. Impossibile riposare in tranquillità .sul rooftop Insistenza dei camerieri per la mancia( propina), addirittura hanno chiesto più di quanto avessimo dato di mancia perché non gli bastava . Inoltre Capiamo la sicurezza ma siamo stati seguiti e fermati all’ingresso varie volte pensando fossimo degli estranei, quest’atteggiamento non è concepibile in un hotel di questa categoria . Colazione da migliorare pancake e waffle andrebbero serviti caldi. Cappuccino a pagamento !

I liked that they had a travel desk where you can book trips. We booked the Chichen Itza trip with them and it was very good
1) this is a 4* hotel, not 5* hotel as it's written on booking.
2) the noise was unbearable.
The hotel has an inner courtyard with a restaurant at the ground floor. The rooms are around the inner courtyard. There is no double door system for the noise, just 1 door. You can see what I mean in their pictures on booking. I attached it also here.
The problem with this was the unbearable noise. The restaurant starts to be lively at 6 am with plates and cutlery clinking. You hear all this from your room. We started to smell the food (fried stuff) at around 6 am, from our room. There is loud music at night from the restaurant until almost 12 am, so we couldn't rest. You only can get max 6 hours of sleep.
We weren't able to sleep properly for the entire duration of the 5 nights.
Probably this is why this hotel is the cheapest 4* hotel and that's why we went with it. Now I understand why.
3) at the end of the trip the clothes from our suitcases smelled like mold.
I don't recommend this to anyone.

The location was great. The bed was big and comfortable.
The hotel and rooms felt and and smelt very damp.
Everything at the breakfast tasted old and stale.
There were lots of people around the hotel who were not staying at the hotel. They are there to drink on the rooftop. There are staff outside the hotel trying to get people off the street and up to the rooftop.

לקחנו חבילה עם אוכל ושתייה הכל כלול. האוכל במסעדות ברמה נמוכה מאוד, המסעדה האיטלקית במלון פשוט מזעזעת שום דבר לא טעים. בבריכה היו מלא יתושים וביקשנו 6 פעמים שינקו אותה עם רשת עד שמישהו התייחס, ובסוף ניקה אותה אחד האורחים. שמנו לב שהמלצרים מתעלמים מחלק מההזמנות שלנו בבריכה (אולי הוראה שהם קיבלו כדי לחסוך בהוצאת משקאות ואוכל) לפעמים היינו צריכים להזמין 4 פעמים משקה עד שהוא הגיע וזה לקח שעה. יש בחדרים ריח של רטיבות / עובש. כשהתלוננו בהתחלה אמרו לנו שאין חדר אחר לעבור אליו וכשדרשנו מנהל פתאום היו 2 חדרים פנויים אבל גם בהם היה ריח מזעזע. כמובן שהם לא רושמים בתיאור של המלון על הריח הזה אבל זה כלכך לא בריא לנשום את זה, אפילו מסוכן. בערב אחד חיכינו שעה עד שהגיעו רק המנות הראשונות במסעדה וסהכ שעה וחצי עד שהגיעו העיקריות. יש אפשרות לאנשים שלא ישנים במלון לשלם כניסה לבריכה ואז נוצר מצב שאין כיסאות ומיטות לאורחים של המלון.

The room, breakfast and rooftop. We liked to be able to discover and eat and drink in the other The Reef properties.
Italian a la carte choice was poor and the food not gourmet as advertised. The attitude and motivation of the employees in the lobby and breakfast area was barely acceptable, it was one of the worse experience we had. We did not feel welcomed. We were all inklusive guests and had to sign a receipt for every consumption, it was annoying. Some things happened that are unacceptable in our view for a hotel of this level.

Checking in,,,they ask for an additional $100.00 us to get the king size bed room that we had already booked and paid for.
Then they gave us a 2 bed room with a wall outside our balcony.
They change our room after requesting it.
Mexican restaurant,,service minus 100.....took 2 hour to get our meal we ordered,,,and it was not even what we had ordered....then we're told that they could not make what we ordered because they were closing the kitchen soon..
Second time there,,,they never replied to my email mentioning what I just mentioned to you..very disappointed.

The Rooftop pool was awesome and the fact that we had access to two other hotels which are included in the All Inclusive package was amazing and gave us tons of food options!
There wasn’t many open spots to lay out at the pool , you had to get out there super early in the morning and place your stuff down in order to save a chair to lay out on. Also the SPA was a bit frustrating - we booked an appointment at 1pm, (no one told us to be there early to prep and fill out more paperwork) so we show up at 1:07, there’s people in front of us front seat was helping, then we fill out some papers, she also wanted us to pay first before the massages, the price prior to paying was less when booked, and once we went back they said sorry but your massage started right at 1pm and it was now 1:20, so our 50 min massage turned into a 30 minute one and I asked if we can just cancel our appointment and it would have been a 50% charge!!! very disappointing, just wished the whole process was communicated prior so we would have prepared to be there earlier in order to not cut into our paid massage time.

Nice and clean junior suite and great location in Playa del Carmen. Good breakfast with lots of different options and very helpful staff.
Fair warning - the all-inclusive option means a lot of guests are there to party: there are drunk people in the hotel, and the rooftop bar (which is very nice) plays loud music until 11pm. When we were there one day someone had vomited in the pool, jacuzzi and male bathroom, yet many people were still in the pool..

- The location is good, close to the restaurants and 5th avenue.
- The room is big, good and cleanliness was adequate.
- Receptionists are not friendly. They give the impression that they don't like their work and that atend the guest is a favor.
- The cost that the hotel presented for the taxi to Cancum was 50% higher than the direct cost at the same taxi cooperative. - Roof Top music is very loud and you can hear it from the apartment until late at night.

The info about the restaurants didn't match ie it said sushi downstairs but you go and then your told its only on the roof, then you go to roof and told they aren't serving it yet! The asain place downstairs was awful - I couldn't eat it and left and went elsewhere- super dry meats, beansprouts off etc it wasn't their strong suit. The Italian place is fine pretty basic but edible. The main Mexican place was really nice though!
