Calm hotel, price/quality to expensive, great location

very nice hotel in great calm location good food staff very friendly beautiful walk 20 min to the beach

Price and sauna not included Seaview ? => you cannot see the sea from your room , take the Mountain View

Excellent location for trip along east coast.

Small family run hotel with very friendly and helpful staff . Superb dinner . Nice sea “ view” rooms but Mountain View’s would have been as good due to single storey structure.

No complaints what so ever.

Superb

The hotel is in a great location if you’re planning to hike or visit Skogar and the area attractions closer to Vik. The restaurant is excellent. The couple running the hotel, Jakub and Anna, went out of their way to help facilitate our somewhat complicated hiking plans.

Very pleased we chose this hotel

This hotel resides between the black sand beach and the sea on one side, and the waterfall mountains on the other. The light and the air are magnificent. The continental breakfast was excellent before a long hike. You should rent a car in Iceland. It is the only way.

The restaurant is excellent, but sometimes after a long day hiking the trail it would be nice to have some hearty, simpler options.

there is no clear entry to pull your suitcase. it’s black pebbles so the tires don’t work. have to carry the suitcase instead of pulling it.

Fantastic and would stay again

The staff were amazing, our hire car broke down 3 miles from the hotel and they kindly came to our rescue. Every member of the team we came across were fantastic. The location of the hotel was beautiful and inside was cosy, clean and stylish.

There wasn’t really anything to dislike, the hotel is remote but that is also a plus in my opinion. The restaurant was expensive but the food was very nice.

The facility is very nice, the location is great! Very good dinner at the restaurant! Really nice staff! We add that we saw the Northern Lights thanks to the staff who warned us during dinner, managing ad hoc timings to allow us to see it. Really nothing to say! Highly recommended

Fantastic experience

Lovely hotel in a great location with excellent service. We really liked our morning walk on the hotel's private beach and our dinner was fantastic. We got some great tips for the rest of our journey at checkout.

Just a tiny nitpick, we had to wait quite a bit for the staff to take our order for our dinner but it was well worth the wait. Everything else was excellent.

Everything was great, except..

Hotel and staff were amazing. Breakfast was delicious

Room had some flies/bugs which was a bit annoying. When I was checking in the staff at reception told me that there would be a complimentary dinner! I double checked and asked if it was free and they confirmed. So when I went to eat my "free" dinner, he told me as they were closing that he'll get me and my wife 2 bowls of soup, so I said fine. I wake up the next morning and find a charge on my CC and when I asked them about it (different staff) they said they'll get back to me..
