I would encourage anyone going to Cancun to call Casa Wayak. It is clean, friendly and great!

The staff was over the top nice and helpful. We scored a private room, with private bath and shower and private AC! The cost for the room was less than we would have paid for two single (traveling with my wife) beds. The heat outside was oppressive, but they had a jacuzzi on the roof (just outside our door) that was not heated and great to jump into at the end of the day. The tree that overhung the jacuzzi was absolutely beautiful. Coffee in the morning was tops and the kitchen area was always clean!!

Good overall

This place had a lot of potential to be even better. They a rooftop, a garden area, and a communal area inside. The staff very really nice and accommodating.

They need to put those curtains on the rails they have, it makes the space more comfortable. The shower was great, but hand saniters is not a substitute for soap, and the bathroom could do with being cleaned more

Good

Folks managing the property were pleasant. Welcoming with a smile and ready to help. Location was good as we could find Vegan food. It is about 1-2km for the tours meeting points. Several money exchangers close to Casa Wayak. Circle K is at the corner for all the supplies you may require. Breakfast was simple but world not rely on it as the primary food of the day.

Bathroom door was not closing. The beds were not made daily. Change of towels where not made unless requested. The AC made a lot of noise. There are no cloth hangers just a long rod was provided. My room was in the ground floor.

overall I would book it again & look forward to visit Cancun again

good location 15 mins walk from bus station, far away from all the noise. staff very helpful and it’s just a good value for the money.

I would pay more attention to showers and their service, the one at the mens needed to fix

i think i was scammed for extra tax and olso other tuorits stainh there where thieves

i was charged extra 1000 pesos when i got to front desk which was operated by other tuorist staying and working for owner i argued the point for 15 minutes was told there was an extra tax from mexican goverment from a spanish tuotist who works there

Stunning stay at Casa Wayak!

I liked the energy at Casa Wayak. Nice staff, roof terrace and great location. I would love to be back as I felt like at home : )

Mattress must be better. They also must to put curtains in some beds.

A cheap joke

The bed was comfortable

The surprise "sanitation tax" that was added to my reservation total after I had booked, the room was tiny (and I mean tiny), the shower ran cold, the lighting in the room was atrocious, the breakfast was small and underwhelming, the staff was cold/one receptionist wouldn't stop starring at me in a creepy manner but the worst part was the room had sheer curtains so the patio light shinned directly into the room until the sun came up and did the same.

Not worth the money

The guy who was working at the reception was really friendly and tried to help us and let us switch the rooms when we complained about the smell.

It’s definitely totally overpriced!! The rooms are covered in mold and the smell is horrible. I got a headache because of the smell and had to change the room. The second room was a bit better but still stinky. The rooms don’t have windows so it’s kinda depressing in there and also the rooftop was a bit dirty and not the best place to chill there. But I’ve heard that the dorms are better than the private rooms.

Excellent 👌

The room was clean, the AC worked just fine, I was super tired when I arrived, they allowed me to check in earlier than 3:00pm and I was able to take a nap 😴 The place is not as noisy so one can rest properly, generally it was a great experience, I’ll definitely stay again if I come back to Cancún

Maybe the Jacuzzi was a bit dirty, but that’s probably because there’s lots of trees around it so the leaves fall into the water. On the whole though, this place is amazing, I highly recommend it

I was treated like homless and they toke me in for free :/

chill easy mood, not a crazy party place.

stuff was polite but very careless, from 3 nights I stayed , 2 of them I was locked out . first night I figure out room key was wrong . lucky another roommate came late after me and seen me waiting at door , he open for both of us. second night they closed house door , which key was not provided to us !!! I was so tired came back around 3-4 am from long walk and discovering city . and end up sleeping in front of the door outside on a chair :( Yes money was refunded to me, for one single night after I complain to owner . NO ONE APOLOGIZED TO ME FOR LOCKING ME OUT TWICE !!!

Rooms, especially bathroom was dirty. A lot of dust on the shelves and floor. Nowhere to put my towel. Table pads during breakfast covered in stains

Very good vibe and staff

Staff is very nice and helpful, and that made the stayed a great experience. Breakfast is simple but nice. Wi-fi works very well, toilets are ok. Clean in general.

I was in a room for 5 with another 2 guys and it smelled quite bad. It was a mix of dampness and dirty clothes of my roommates. I understand that’s nothing to do with the hostel but it was a bit disgusting. But I guess I was unlucky with the roommates.
