Definitely a great option!

The location was phenomenal, the staff very helpful. Quiet room but right in the middle of an amazing part of Kyoto. Laundry facilities were much appreciated.

Towels were not changed unless requested. The room was carpet from wall to wall and there is a slight smell to it but not a deal breaker. Also the room was kind of small so it was difficult to have the suitcases around and no closet space (but that is also somewhat normal in Japan).

Había cucarachas en la habitación. La habitación era muy pequeña. Al personal del hotel no lo veías en ningún momento. En comparación con otros hoteles no había suministro de ningún tipo de productos de higiene.

位置相当不错，可以一早步行去三年坂+晚上去八坂神社很方便，还有酒店旁边就是花间小路，鸭川。

甚麼都很好，價格非常實惠，棒棒

住宿地點非常方便，旁邊一條巷子就是花見小路，從大阪可以坐京阪本線在祇園四條下車後走路200公尺以內就會到~~很便宜但是房間很舒適，我住在三人房所以一張單人床一張雙人床，晚上也很安靜，冷氣很冷，check-in也非常快速，走路可以去很多地方~~超級方便

基本上都很好唷~~素晴らしい～～～

從京都車站坐計程車一下就到, 位宿地點用走的就能到祇園・清水寺...等知名景點, 週圍吃東西買東西也很方便, 房間小了點,有提供日用品,浴室還有小浴缸可以泡, 隔音也不錯, 還能寄放行李

地理位置很不错，离地铁近

卫生说可以要求打扫，我去提了要求然而并没有打扫。前台态度不好，都走到面前了，还带着耳机，你跟他说话也只取下来一只耳机，上班时间啊喂。房间感觉脏兮兮的

Great location and convenient

Great location in the Gion district. Everything nearby (shopping, food, cafes) is walkable and the hotel is close to several metro stations.

Laundry machines were weak - dryer took very long to dry clothes.

Overall it was an enjoyable stay with easy access to good restaurants, beautiful gardens and temples

Available umbrellas, laundry area, more than enough clean, soft, white towels; location was close to the bus stops, train stations and very accessible to the tourist spots.

Overall the stay was good, location was great

The location was great, easy to get around and also the staff was so fluent with English no trouble of communication

Great experience and very impressive with the service provided

Close to everything by walking, staff is very polite and considerate, have turned on the air-conditioner before our arrival, so we went in to a clean and cool room on a hot summer day, very refreshing.

Great location but the room comfort is a hit or miss.

Great location (literally less than a 5 minute walk from the train station, and right across the bridge from downtown), nice staff, good facilities including laundry machines which is great when you are trying to travel and pack light. They had some nice resources at the reception including restaurant recommendations which was a plus.

The temperature and humidity control. The room was ALWAYS humid. Not sure if this is just an issue in Japan because it rained 2 out of the 3 days we were there, and there was a dehumidifier in the hallway, but we had to open our window to air it out because it smelled like damp towels. There was also one night where the air conditioning unit did not work. It was over 24C in the room plus humiditiy in the room and it was miserable. We tried playing with the AC unit and it was not responding; this was when we realized the AC was centrally controlled. This was a little after 10 or 11 pm. On the guest card it had suggested that we text or go on Line and text the front desk for help; which we did but no response. We had an uncomfortable sleep all evening in the heat. The next morning, I went to the front desk and spoke to the receptionist, who nonchalantly said that there was an issue with the AC unit. Didn't acknowledge that they didn't respond to texts or anything. That was a little frustrating.

Good

The room was very nice, spacious, very clean, bed were comfy and bathroom was also clean. The staff knows english and were very friendly. The location is really the best thing, its really right at the market, lots of options for food, shopping, bars etc. nearby. Allthought these streets are very crowded in night and might be loud you cant hear a thing from the room. Its just a very nice place whicwe recommend

There is a place with the same name that is 10min away by foot. When you use google maps you have to be very careful to pick the correct place, this other place is also a hostel but its permanently closed so it gives you quite a shock when you wait in front of the door. We were lucky that a taxi driver saw us and knew automatically that we were in the wrong place. For free he told us were the correct address was and followed us with his car signalling the correct turns until we made it to the actual place

Will recommend this place as it is an excellent location to explore Higashi (east) area. Also can reach further with the

Location is very convenient. Less than 5 mins walk to train stations, bus stops, restaurants and shopping. Property is clean & quiet.Check in and out is fast and flawless. Please note there is more than 1 Laon Inn Gion in this area…..another one is Laon Inn Shinbashi. 😆

The Extra Mile

My daughters and I decided to make a quick trip to Kyoto to enjoy cherry blossom season. We speak very little Japanese, and the staff was so kind to accommodate us by speaking English. Everyone at the front desk spoke English and they were quick to assist and answer all of our questions. One staff member was especially helpful— going way out of his way to assist us. I wish I could remember his name, but I can say that he was working the front desk on the evening of March 29. I simply asked the best way to get to Kansai airport from the hotel. Not only did he look up the best route and times for me, when I checked out in the morning the other front desk attendant handed me a hand drawn map that he had left with specific directions written in English to include times, bus stop, and the cost for each leg of our journey. He made our day. Thank you for making our stay in Kyoto so enjoyable.

Amazing location!

Such a fantastic place to visit all the sights by foot or public transport. Could not be better. It’s so lovely walking down all the quiet, historic streets of Gion at night time! Loved it! Will visit again!
