A perfect place to start our holiday.
Everything in this house shows that it is made with love. The space is modern, well isolated and decorated with personal antiques. The owner is very friendly. The location is mesmerizing, you only hear the birds and from your deck you can see the river, the horses and the snowy mountains far away. The house is very well equipped. The place is very well signed from Route 1, so you can’t get lost. We stayed for three nights and did not want to leave. Lots of activities nearby.
Since we stayed in June we had a bit trouble that it was so light at night. A blackout curtain in the bedroom therefore would have been nice.

Very beautyful old house with a soul. Good facilities. Very nice place, horses outside made the surrounding something else. Very welcoming host. I can highly recommend.

We were greeted very warmly and immediately felt like at home. Everything is decorated with love and it was really clean. Trausti took the time to show us the stable and introduce us to the horses. I liked that very much. Next time I will definitely take some riding lessons. Thank you for the nice stay!

Wonderful house in a lovely quiet location. An ideal base for discovering all of the wonders of this area in southern Iceland. A welcoming host and enough space for our 5 night stay.
