pratique et confortable

super pratique et extrêmement calme, malgré la proximité de la route. on a fait juste une nuit avant de repartir pour la slovénie, c'est tout près de l'autoroute.

Ideal for a short stopover, pleasant, modern, comfortable.

Not far from motorway, good view across valley, a little patio with table & chairs for our use, good pizza restaurant and small supermarket across the road.

Very good

Place and price was ok. And there is pizza resturant in front of villa - the best pizza that we ever taste at normal price (i think owner of villa and resturant is the same). Recomended.

Not clear enough about number of people - we purchase room for 3 people but when arrived on place, we see that room is for 2 people. Hopefully we bring with us air mattress and we fit somehow. We have similar problems before in Italy - so we have experience (bad one).

Nothing special

Villa Marra is ideally located just outside the city, making it a good place for reсovery. The free private parking is a plus. The room is clean, and the bed is comfortable. That's it.

Although Villa Marra says the hotel has a restaurant and a bar, it is not entirely true. The owner of the hotel also owns the pizzeria across the street. Still, its operating hours are regular for any Italian restaurant that works for the public, not hotel guests. It opens at 11 a.m., reopens at 7 p.m., and does not work on Mondays. There are simply no breakfast options except the supermarket nearby. (Remember that the hotel rooms are not equipped with even a tiny refrigerator). The coffee machine in a hallway does not work correctly, giving you strong expresso instead of coffee lungo - there are just no proper glasses inside the machine. The device does not provide a change back, so you leave credit for the following user. The guests have to use a special key to start the machine, but nobody explains that. We stayed in room #8, and there is a definite problem with the shower head, which is fixed in a strange position, making the process more of an unwanted obligation that you want to get rid of as soon as possible.

one night stop during travelling in Italy

The site is located rather on the peripheral part of the Trieste. One should have own transportat means to get to the center. The villa with appartments is easily accessible with sufficient parking lot. Just around the corner is pizzeria with good food and very reasonable prices, but with many smoking people. Overall, we have not expected much as it was one night stop for us in further way toward southern Italy. The person taking care of welcoming guests was friendly and tried to be helpful. One can appreciate that there was fridge in the room which assured that we could dring something cold after visiting the center of Trieste.

The room is very small and one can even feel claustrophobic there. It is also rather basic. The price is rather high as for the very small room and basic infrastructure.

Great place! Easy private parking, good wifi, strong air conditioning, comfortable beds. Also there's a shared microwave and fridge.

Superb

Very clean room and bathroom with very good bed and pillows. Nice balcony. Microwave and fridge in the hallway. No really breakfast, but coffee machine that takes coins and croissant for breakfast. THE best pizza I have had in pizzeria across the street!!!

Don't expect a proper breakfast. But croissant and coffee is fine. And a nearby super and coffeeshop provide food too.

Guests not really wanted.

Room was okay.

I am surprised at the positive reviews, which I cannot confirm. Everything is very functional and anonymous. There is no trace of hospitality. The key was handed over to us wordlessly (!) without any further information, for example about breakfast options or check-out. Although the owners obviously live in the house, all further communication is done by phone only. We also had to ask for the Wifi password by phone. We found a very nice breakfast place ourselves (opposite the hospital a little further up the road). The area is not very nice. We also had to find out ourselves which buses go into town. An info/folder in the room would have been helpful. And above all, more cordiality!

private parking is positive in Triest

a little bit far from the downtown. the bus drivers were on strike when we were there, so we walked home 5 km away.

Good value for the money. The internet was good and the location is a $15.50 Euro trip to the city.

The breakfast was a croissant and an espresso machine that I couldn't figure out how to work. Luckily there is a great Illy coffee house up the street about 2 minutes walking distance. The location of the pizza/italian restaurant Spetic was fantastic as was proximity to a taxi station when I needed to call a taxi without knowing the exact address for the taxi company. It was right in front of a major hospital, which again is a plus.

There was a slight musty smell to the bathroom, but nothing that was unbearable. It seemed to have cleared up once the fan was running and took my first shower. The shower head was nice, but needed a bit more pressure to maximize the experience. Had the shower had more pressure I think it would have made up for the musty smell.

We enjoyed our pizza on our short visit at Trieste.

The view from rooftop was a plus. The owners also one a restaurant across the street, which had the best pizza on our trip so far.

There are better places in the area to stay

We booked this place because we needed parking and places where we normally stay while in this area were not available. Parking was convenient although it wasn’t locked.

We arrived after long drive and we were tired. As requested we notified the property about one hour before arrival and we were told to check-in in pizzeria across the street. The pizzeria was full and the guy there let us wait as he was prioritizing pizza orders and deliveries. After 15 minutes wait he wanted to do check-in in a rush. He also wanted to take photos of our documents with his phone (all in the middle of pizzeria full of people). Room looked cheap with badly made and very small shower, door that was difficult to close from the inside and thin walls.

Good

Nice place, nice staying. Clean and comfortable. The room was really nice and cosy.

It is quite far from the centre, although buses go quite often. They take around 25 minutes from Trieste centre.
