Ideal for the Tarka Trail and all other local towns

Everything! Location, facilities, the hosts. Lovely room with a really big comfortable bed. A little kitchen area with a fridge is a real bonus. Super quiet yet really central to where you need to be. Really can’t fault it and we won’t hesitate to book again.

Plenty of parking. Large rooms. Bedrooms comfortable. Nice size garden with a lovely size hot tub. We had a slight issue, which was resolved very quickly.

Was lacking some basics for such a large group. Could only seat 8, at most, round dining table although we were a family of 9 adults. Same for living area, only enough comfortable chairs for 7. Could also do with some more relaxing chairs in the garden. No microwave.

Superb

Thistledene is in a perfect location, a short walk from the high street with shops, bars and restaurants, and Braunton is driving distance to lots of other beautiful places. The hosts are lovely people and very welcoming. The place was spotless with good facilities - the mini fridge with washing up facilities were very useful. The room got very warm but they provided a fan.

Nice, clean space ideal for a short stay in Braunton. Good value for money. Sarah was very friendly and welcoming.

There was no window, so if you felt warm you had to keep the patio door open which is not ideal at night on the ground floor. You could also hear through the walls to adjoining spaces.

Braunton Gem

Private. Nicely laid out and very clean and welcoming. Lovely large, comfortable bed with ample fluffy towels provided. Well-designed and well-equipped with nice touch of fresh milk in the fridge and plenty of tea and coffee supplies in the kitchenette area.

One heated towel rail did not work. The only heating in the bathroom so unfortunately a bit chilly in there!

Convenient position for cafes, bars and the beautiful beaches. Nice accommodation.

Rooms nice, very helpfully set up the extra bed for us at short notice, bathroom clean. Able to park on the drive, Very close to the wedding venue we were attending!

Needed a top up of milk and tea and coffee for the second days stay, also a lack of shower gel and shampoo provided. Felt unable to knock on the door to ask as there was a notice giving a telephone number - seemed a trivial reason to call!!

There was no breakfast provided except milk tea/coffee but there were bowls and plates with fridge and toaster. Room was lovely and quiet with its own terrace. Everywhere was clean and the beds were very comfortable.

If I’m being really picky …I had expected the outdoor seating area to be private but unfortunately not so guests in the other room could pass-it would have been nice to have more privacy…having said that it’s not an issue & wouldn’t stop me from staying again!
