Standing in a prominent position in the heart of Aldeburgh between the High Street and shingle beach, Pugwash Cottage is a charming mid-terraced Victorian cottage. It is comfortably furnished throughout and is just a stone's throw away from the beach. On the ground floor there is a sitting room with a gas fired stove and an east facing kitchen/dining area with modern kitchen furniture and a door opening out onto a shared patio area. On the first floor there are three bedrooms and a modern family bathroom. Everything you could need for a relaxing holiday is within a minutes' walk, making this place an ideal base for couples or small families looking for a seaside break.

The cottage is situated just between the main high street and beach, so excellent for all facilities. Cosy and comfortable cottage, although parking was an issue, I managed to park in the larger public car park for the whole weekend, which was not too expensive (£4.60 between 0800-1800) so no real drama. If you’re a young family, it’s perfect or just a couple then plenty of room in the cottage. Would definitely recommend.

Great location in Aldeburgh for both the town and beach. Super comfy bed and clean and tidy. The only down side is that every morning at about 6.30 a van arrives and is really noisey right outside loading up from storage unit opposite. He goes and then comes back 20 mins later and unloads for about 10 mins. If you get up early it won’t affect you but if you like a lie in it may become annoying.

We had a beautiful stay in Pugwash Cottage, the lady called to let us know the cottage was ready for us and it looks just like the photos. Great location for the town and sea. Would definitely stay again 👍

Really lovely cosy and clean cottage, perfect for a small family

This cottage is the perfect escape for a small family. Ideally located near the beach and shops. The cottage was spotless and well appointed. We stayed with our two small children and had enough space but it would be a squeeze for five adults despite the extra bedroom. No sea view but that seems rare in Aldeburgh as lots of the cottages are down little roads all back to back. That said the beach is a stones throw from this cottage so easy to grab a coffee or fish and chips and sit watching the waves roll in. On a final note it is easier for us to keep the cottage clean if there is a broom, extra bin bags and hand soap in the bathroom. Many thanks for a lovely stay x
