This is one of the best vacation spots in the area. It's an immaculate 4 bed/3 bath two Story on 3rd St. Sleeps 8-10 (King, King, Queen, 2 Twins and sleeper sofa) .All bedrooms have flat screen TVs. The living area is tremendously spacious.
It has a great dock with a fish cleaning station. You can fish right in the back of the property or hop on your boat and cruise to plenty of fishing hot spots.
Central A/C, washer/dryer, hi speed internet service, dishwasher. Private pool.
Interconnecting door to other half of duplex, so this unit and the other half of the house can be rented together - if desired. together you could have 8 bedrooms.Perfect for family reunions.

This was our favorite spot to be in Key Colony, we will be back. This was everything we wanted for our vacation. Great fishing and restaurants near. Perfect for our boat docking and awesome private pool. We absolutely loved it. Awesome host, the best!

We over all enjoyed our stay. The host and the property manager were very helpful. Although some bad weather didn't let us use the pool but once the storms cleared the manager got the pool cleaned up and we were able to soak in some nice warm water. The house definitely needs upgrades though.

We had a great time! Having the dock we did a lot of fishing, paddleboarding, and kayaking! Pool was clean and very refreshing! The house had a lot of room so we did not feel like we were on top of each other (11 people). The furniture is more updated then what the pictures show. Overall we would rent here again!!

Let's start with the positives. The location is excellent and if you want to fish from the rear of the property it is superb. The pool is a bonus and was clean and appeared fairly well maintained.
We stayed in this property 11 years ago and at that time considered it tired but acceptable. Sadly little or nothing has been done to the property since that time. Frankly it is beyond tired. General maintenance is poor with a number of items simply not working or working effectively. The dish washer for example runs a program but does not wash. The air conditioning to the main bedroom does not work and as a consequence a temporary free standing unit has been installed. This is so noisy it is impossible to sleep. I think when we arrived there were no more than 4 wine glasses so we had to go out and buy a set and some beakers. By far the worst aspect was the cleanliness, which was poor throughout. Yes the floors looked as though they had been swept but as soon as you walked barefoot, it was apparent that this was not enough. We searched for a mop but only found one that looked not to have been used for some time and had seen better days. Consequently we purchased a mop bucket and floor cleaner and spent half a day cleaning. Only then could we allow the infant with us to play on the floor.
I know not to expect luxury from properties which are constantly rented but we do expect comfort, reasonable functionality and cleanliness.

Good amenities, however work is deeply needed.
The house was very clean upon arrival. The pool however was not clear. When we asked the pool maintenance man to clean it, he seemed to be very irritated with the request. But the pool was green. He did clean it and it cleared up. The dock on the adjoining property had fallen in. And that happens however the dock on our side is in serious need of a rebuild. When the tide was low you can see how bad the cracking is all of the way under it, large cracks not small. When the crew and owner arrived to work on the Fallen dock, they came to our side and said boards needed replacing, however they just flipped the boards over. When they did this they left very rusty screws all over the dock and yard. I picked them up. The dock is NOT nailed down well, children would need to be careful where they walked. The extra bathroom has a very distinct smell of sewage. The house is however is very spacious

This is a beautiful house in a great location. We enjoyed the time we were there. I just wish it was longer. We had plenty of linens and appreciated the use of the washer and dryer. Having 2 refrigerators was a great idea. There were a few issues we had during the week though. There were sugar ants in the kitchen in the beginning of the week but we took care of them. The utensils needed to be washed before we could use them. The internet was week and did not reach to the upstairs tvs. The direct tv did not work well. There were many switches for lights and we figured them out by the end of the week. If you could add a print out of what switch works what lights it would be helpful. We were unable to turn the pool light on in the evenings. It would be beneficial to put a ladder on the dock to be able to enter and exit boats during low tide or if someone falls off the dock by accident. If a watch charger and Roku remote was found in the master bedroom, it would be very appreciated if it could be mailed to us. One other thing is if there could be more parking, the bushes in the front could enable another car or boat trailer to be able to park there. All in all we had a very enjoyable week and hope to be able to vacation in the keys another time. Thank you for listening.

Lots of space
Overall nice house. Owner is in the process of updating and some projects weren't complete. Very large kitchen and comfy family room couches. Plenty of room for the entire family. It was convenient to have a boat ramp on the property. Not all boats observed the "No Wake Zone" but we came prepared with a bungee anchor to keep the boat from hitting the dock. Quick access to the ocean, which was really nice.

Needs some TLC
This was our 3rd time staying here. It has been a few years since our last visit. Location is great however the the house needs some TLC. The decking around the pool has some uneven places that caused my Grandson to fall. The furniture around the pool needs to be replaces. The decking on the dock needs repair. If repairs are made and listed we would stay here again, but as is I will look elsewhere.

Great Location
Other reviews are accurate. This house is old and is in need of some major renovations/upgrades. Had a problem with ac. Response from Property Manager was great even though it seems as if the units are not capable of handling such a large house. We were comfortable.
Pool and pool pavers are in poor shape. Garden tub leaked into garage. When I told the Maintenance man he said he already knew however we were not told. Glad none of our stuff was under the LARGE leak in garage. Overall good stay. My main problem would be the flies that hang around the garbage cans which are by the front door. I even washed the cans out to no avail.
Would consider staying again.

Great location
Large dock for boating and fishing off dock with excellent access to waterways. Plenty of room for families, however the house is in need of updating, painting and repairs. Housekeeping and cleaning could definitely be improved.

Group property but needs some TLC
The location was amazing. The house was very large for our party of 7 but could definitely use some updating.
First, the stove did not work correctly. The eyes were way off in temperature. The dishwasher doesn’t work. There was a great variety of kitchen utensils/appliances.
The house was invaded by flys. The trash cans without lids are right at the front door and flies fly in every time you open the door.
There are only 3 bikes not 4 and we couldn’t ride any of them. One is missing the handlebar grips. They all had flat tires and there was a pump but it did not fit the valve stem.
There were pool chairs but half were broken and there wasn’t very many beach chairs or floats.
The biggest disappointment was the lights at the dock did not work. Not one of them. Our plan was to night fish (I have boys) and we had to do this in the pitch black dark. We contacted the manager and owner with a response that the electrical company was called. They said they would come at 530 on Thursday when we contacted them on Monday. They never came. The manager did come and change the lights but that didn’t correct the problem.
Also, the pool light still doesn’t work. They said the pool company has ordered the light but it had not come in. I see in past post this has been a problem as far backI as February. This makes me think is not repairable.
The owner and manager were very responsive when I contacted them but could not resolve the issues.
It’s sad that this property has been neglected when it’s such a great vacation spot.
After all this I would probably rent again but it’s too expensive when none of the money has been put back into the property.

Excellent location
The location is amazing. A 3 minute boat ride to the open water, a private dock, a boat ramp and plenty of room for the boat trailer. The house itself was average. But anyone renting this house usually wouldn’t be planning on spending much time inside due to the location. Similar to other reviews, it is outdated and wasn’t cleaned properly. We had to wash the bed linens and the pillow cases in the master due to hair being in the pillow cases and sheets. Very roomy and comfortable beds. Big kitchen. Could use some more towels, utensils and linens. But nothing with the house itself, that hindered our stay. The house offers access to a private beach club with pool, bar, food and a beach which was a plus. The only reason that I gave three stars was due to the cleanliness and the checkout process. Checkout time was 10am. As other people stated the cleaning crew arrived around 8am. As I was loading my truck and boat, they asked me if we could be out as soon as we can because there were other people checking in that day. They were just staring at us while we were loading the boat and the truck like we were inconveniencing them by still being there at 8. Check in time is not until 3pm. If I was out by 10am, the stated checkout time, that would give the two of them 5 hours to clean. I could clean and do a better job, by myself, in half the time. They entered the adjoining property while the guests were loading and began to clean while the family was still in the house, well before 10am. In my opinion rather inexcusable and rude. I would suggest to the owner to read the reviews and fix the things that are repeated in multiple reviews, that are under their control. Other than that overall a great stay.

Our Key Colony Beach Vacation
The rental property furniture needs some updating. We had some issues with the kitchen chairs. The pool was great except there should be some directions as to how to maintain the temperature and water level. Didn't know we were supposed to keep it filled to a certain level. Lost a day because of that. No garbage bags were available when we were supposed to take out the garbage on garbage day. The glass table tops were very dirty and the TV screen was also dirty. The air conditioner in the master bedroom was very noisy. All the hot water faucets in the bedrooms had low water pressure. One closet door in bedroom was completely off. We found dirty laundry that was left behind in one of the dresser drawers. All in all the property was very spacious. The outside could also need some upkeeping. The pool furniture could also need some updating. The portable radio antenna was broken off and couldn't have music by the pool because there was no outlet. Loved the access to the Cabana Club and the canal.

Nice location and size of house
We had a good time. Based on the reviews we we’re pretty confident we knew what to expect. We were right, read the reviews and they are all spot on. It is a little outdated and they did come and try to replace the couch when we were there. They did replace the grill which was great. The house is set to have up to 10 people. Flatware was short (only 4 steak knives). Pool could be refinished but it worked except for the light. Overall we had a great time, but there could be some improvements for sure, especially for the price. Owner and property owner did show at 8:30am which I felt could have been a little later in the day especially since we were on vacation and one day they came to do yard work that early as well. On check out day they showed up before we were completely out and although waited patiently we would have liked to not have to move around them. There is a rather large Iguana that lives in the Mangrove by the dock. He suns on the dock sometimes, kids thought it was the coolest thing! He won’t bother you but very cool to watch! We rented a boat so made good use of the dock.

Perfect place to escape
We were ther for 2 weeks. Overly large for my party of five and could probably accommodate twice that. It is a bit dated and needs some tlc (mostly outside), but none of that detracted from being able to really enjoy our stay at the property. Outdoor heated pool was quite large, heated and awesome. The location is fantastic and convenient. The grounds are a especially a great place to spend time outside. We even docked our rented boat right beside the house, which was great. The only real complaint is that the wi-fi is unusable upstairs in any of the bedrooms. However it's fine on the main level and even much of the backyard. Communications with the property manager when necessary was excellent. Very responsive. I met the owner as well, very gracious. We will return.

Great place!
The house and pool were great. The stove did not work very well - one front burner got hot and stayed that way and the other front burner didn't get hot at all. The dishwasher didn't clean the dishes well either. Time for upgrades on those. Additional blankets would be nice too. Other than that we loved it there - would stay again for sure!

Great Location to Ocean and Views
The house Manager was on spot we had a problem with the new lower A/C and she had someone there within 30 minutes. There were not any good pans but she went and got us one. Come to find out though the stove burners did not work properly especially the left side when you turned the burner down it didn't turn down therefore burning the pan. There was dog hair from previous renters in some rooms but all in all it was an awesome vacation and you could not beat the location, the pool and the price for staying.

Great location!
The location is great! Plenty of room for you boats and it’s own private boat ramp. The only real issue we had was with the AC in the master’ s BR on both sides unfortunately. Toni contacted us on our second day to see how it was and we told her it wasn’t really working. She had contractors out that afternoon to look at the problems and fix what they could. Unfortunately they weren’t able to fix the AC while we were there, Toni offered us a compensation for the inconvenience that was fair. I see lots of negative reviews on how it’s tired and needs updating etc. Well honestly you can see from the pictures in the listing that it not up to date, is it perfect no! But overall for the price and location it fit our needs. Our families were only there to eat and sleep otherwise we were out on the boats, your in the keys!

Great Vacation...considering
With the coronavirus pandemic this years trip was different than past trips for sure. With that said Toni was great and communicated everything as she knew it and really went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. I was concerned reading some negative reviews but we were pleasantly surprised with the spacious property with tons of indoor and outdoor space. It is not a new property and there are some updates that could be done but it was a great location and a great trip. We will be back!

Awesome Location - Neglected Property & Guests
Disappointed. Party of 10 who stayed over the 2019-20 holidays; but unfortunately, had a similar experience to that of Thomas V in 07/19. We arrived to find busted up toys, old, filthy cushions, cheap & broken pool chairs, plate of cigarettes, and debris around and in the pool. The broken table umbrella noted in a prior review is even still there! You have to pay extra to heat the pool, (a bit tacky I thought), and after several requests we got heat on the second day; but we didn't use the pool at night as planned since there is No Lighting. Pool lights don't work; & broken light fixtures at the back area and front entry. Very dark & spooky. It's an obvious safety issue; and I sent several text messages voicing concern - with pictures! No response ever from Owner or PM. Also, beware that the tile installed at the back door overlooking the pool is the wrong type and gets EXTREMELY slippery. The interior of the house was not the cleanest either - found grime, cobwebs and spiders. Strange - but no cleaning products should you want to keep floors, counter-tops, tables, kitchen, etc clean & sanitary during your stay. Bring your own. In fact, if you choose to stay here; you may want to clean a bit upon arrival & bring all your own stuff because this house is sadly NOT WELL APPOINTED. Some of linens are stained and weathered & the bath towels were shockingly disgusting. Owner provides scratchy, old, toddler size bath towels full of holes that honestly look like cleaning rags. No hand towels. We took a picture of one "bath towel" falling apart and full of holes but no way to post it here. I called the PM incredulous and was told "that is all we have". Seriously?! How expensive are guest towel sets at your local Costco or Walmart? Owner should not state linens are provided as clearly there is no desire to provide decent linens... we could have brought our own. No WIFI. Not even on. More false advertising. Clothes dryer didn't dry; but we fixed (after more silence to our text messages); some of the TVs, the DVD players, lamps, remotes and electrical outlets are inoperable. No batteries in MB remote. This is not about updating an investment property built in the 80s - these are all just basic maintenance & hospitality issues. Owner should demonstrate a bit more interest in insuring her guests are happy, safe and comfortable, and adequately care for, and maintain, what should be a GEM of a property! We had a fabulous vacation regardless but it is a shame.

Save your money and stay elsewhere.
I wanted to like this property, I honestly did. But it was a great disappointment. First the good; great location, spacious, and had a great back yard area with a dock for fishing and hanging out. Great area for tying up your boat with quick access out to the ocean. But that is where the niceties end. When you first walk in we were greeted by a lovely “clean” smell. However I think the entryway was the only thing cleaned to give a false sense of cleanliness. The entire floor was covered with black pet hair. Clumps of black pet hair were stuck to the bottom of the chairs, bar stools, and were throughout the entire house. We had to take the first day of our vacation cleaning the floor. Air conditioning worked great throughout the whole house except the MASTER bedroom and bathroom. I called the property manager to discuss it and I was told that she would call back the next day to follow up and bring over a fan if needed. No follow up the entire week. No communication from property managers despite several text messages to inquire about an early check in at the beginning of our vacation. No light in master shower so enjoy taking a dark shower in your hot room. Appliances were dated. DVD players were probably 10+ years old and 1 of them didn’t work. The one that did work gave movies a green or pink tone. Walls were dirty, window sills coming apart, rusty table umbrella lying on back patio, smoke stain on wall from BBQ fire, bricks holding up one of the beds in guest room, pool noodle that falls apart in your hands, patio pool cushions just laying around and draped over the furniture as an afterthought; and then the ANTS. Oh yes, we were met with an army of sugar ants that ruined our groceries, and larger ants just crawling around. There were even sugar ants in the dishwasher after a wash cycle. They say you get what you pay for. I got nowhere near the $3000 value I paid for this property. Profit is definitely the focus, and not quality. I will never stay here again and suggest you save your money. There are other options around. Spend the extra money and actually get your moneys worth.

Great location for fishermen!
Very large house, great outside area. We enjoyed our stay and I am sure we will rent again. Could use some updating and maintenance but not uncommon for the area. Overall very pleased. The yard pool and dock is awesome and it’s the largest kitchen in any property I’ve rented.

Family Vacation
The house was perfect for our Family Vacation! It was really nice to have our own pool and boat dock. The location was excellent and the pass to the Cabana Club was a very nice bonus with a private beach. Everything was great!!

Great location
We rented both sides of this property for a large group of families (adults and children ages 7-13). The location and views are perfect. Very close to the ocean; we saw lots of fish, stingrays, and nurse sharks from the dock and kayak. The house is very large and accommodated our group of 17 easily. The house is showing some wear, but it was clean and we had everything we needed for our stay. Will definitely be back.

Everything we needed!
The house was perfect! There was plenty of room for all my entire group of 7 adults and 3 children. We really enjoyed the pool and fishing from the dock. The house is conveniently located to a number of restaurants in the area and down a quiet street without any interruptions. We will definitely look to stay here again and probably rent out both sides for a larger group!

Toni was wonderful working with us on such short notice and was able to accommodate our family. Anytime we came across across a snag Toni was extremely responsive and attentive. We would definitely love to come back again!!
