A great base to visit friends and scout out my wedding venue.

The location was great. The village was charming, lots of places to eat, great little shops. Would definitely stay there again.

Idyllic stay and stunning area - perfect!

A stunning homely stay in beautiful surroundings. Chagford is idyllic and has superb and interesting shops. We loved our stay. We felt so very welcomed by our host and within the village of Chagford. A very arty, relaxed, friendly and up-market feel with excellent everyday shops mixed in with amazing artisan shops. Something for everyone.

The cottage lovely and lots of little extras provided. Everything you would need for a stay away from home. Our host was very welcoming. The property is within easy walking distance to a delightful village with lots of fresh local produce and excellent pubs.

The property was advertised as having a garden which is the reason I booked the property as we had a dog. However it was an enclosed terrace which was also used to park the cars and through which the host and cat walked through. There was no mention in the details of a cat residing at the property and I would not have booked here as my dog is not cat friendly. I think these details should be available prior to arriving .

Really nice stay in a lovely town.

Comfortable, warm, all facilities really good, good pubs, cafes and walking close by.

Night-time traffic noise a bit disturbing occasionally.

Very comfortable stay, close to the village centre and great walks from the door.

Our hosts met us on the drive and the key was in the lock with the heating on and they offered any assistance we required. All environmentally friendly soaps / shampoo was provided. Very friendly hosts.

Gorgeous getaway

We loved the setting, decor, host was fantastic, helpful but not intrusive. We also enjoyed that the cottage had everything we needed- we are used to taking own towels/linens and crockery when we travel so it was lovely to realise we wouldn't need to if we visit again. Also lovely to have a king size bed for us tall folks. Cake on arrival was delicious and a great touch - much needed after a pretty brutal car journey. - big bonus for us was that because of the entrance gate/outside area we knew our 2 year old was safe and couldn't run out onto the main road if he was poddling around outside.

A beautiful character filled property in a village location, hosted by a lovely family.

Arch Cottage feels like a home from home. Beautiful quality furniture and lots of books to read! Perfect location in beautiful Chagford. Welcoming hosts who are available but respectful of our privacy.

The parking area is a little tight if you have a big car.

Over the Rainbow Wonderful!

We LOVED EVERYTHING about the Arch Cottage! The location was perfect for our first visit to Dartmoor National Park. The cottage was SO charming and comfortable- filled with great books, artwork and personal touches that made us feel so at home. Awesome bathroom with a huge tub. Super comfy bed. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need. And to top it all off, Frances and Peter are so gracious, fun to chat with, and very helpful with ANY needs you may have. Their animals are also quite charming. We would NOT HESITATE to return (if and when we could manage another trip to the UK).

We had a great 5 day stay in a lovely friendly environment & would highly recommend Arch Cottage.

Great location and easy to find. Hosts were great, very friendly and helpful, with helpful info on local area and places to visit. We felt very welcome and the property was exactly what we expected with plenty of room and some lovely touches.

There wasn't anything in particular we didn't like; our only criticism, and not really the biggest of deals was the WiFi struggled a bit when we wanted to watch a movie on Netflix. That really is the only aspect of our stay which was a bit frustrating, but given we were out exploring the countryside for most of the time this really wasn't the biggest of deals to us at all.

Great little cottage, ideal for what we wanted, owner lovely and Chagford is really nice little village. I would recommend this accommodation and we will likely use again.

Parking is a little tight, room for 1 car only, but street parking available a short distance away...

Wonderful holiday house in a part of the country!

It was such a lovely little house with all the facilities that we needed for the family. Great location, especially loved Chagford. Friendly owners who lived opposite and were really helpful. Dog loved it! Would definitely come back!
