Jamie and his wife are such lovely people,friendly welcoming just can't praise them enough. Food was perfect every time. Room was a good size with a very comfortable bed.

We really enjoyed our stay and particularly appreciated staying somewhere so central, so clean, so comfy and so friendly

Lovely warm welcome. Spotlessly clean. Ample drawers and hanging space. Freshly-made and generous breakfast with tasty ingredients. Lovely hosts.

Parking is a bit of a palaver but all very well managed by the hosts.

the location the hospitality and friendliness. The breakfasts were very filling and we were always asked if we needed any more tea or toast. Jamie and Nicola a lovely couple and very welcoming and advise don places to visit👍

Excellent BB we will be staying here again .

Our stay at Alendale was great lots of choices for breakfast Jamie and Nicola were great host's. Our room was spacious and very clean with on suite we had everything we needed for a lovely holiday.

Cannot fault our stay at all

The location is great as on the beach front & close to the town. The room was immaculate & so was the other areas of the guest house. Parking behind the house which is easy accessible.

Wonderful, friendly townhouse in the middle of everything

Wonderful, friendly and warm family runs this small b&b in a traditional tiny townhouse, right in the middle of everything. In the morning the whole house smells of homecooked breakfast, and the owners Jamie and Nicola are very knowledgeable about the area and happy to give you tips on what to do. Jamie is also a bit of a fossil freak, so if you are interested in fossiling (this is after all the Jurassic Coast), he knows where to find them!

perfect couples getaway

hosts were extremely welcoming, made you feel safe and comfortable, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was very good quality and catered for us as vegetarians. Room immaculate and has everything you need. Location was perfect, right on the seafront. We really enjoyed our stay and are already looking forward to coming back.

A very enjoyable stay

The Alendale was by far the best B&B I have stayed in for a long time;Jamie is very friendly but not in your face ,Nicola serves an excellent breakfast whatever you choose and good sized portions,it is very well situated with two good pubs behind it and town centre is an easy walk.

Nowhere is perfect,but I would struggle to find anything worth mentioning as a negative

Very friendly hosts, wonderful location, very clean, breakfast was perfect for our needs. The guesthouse was exceptionally clean and comfortable and a great place to rest after walking the coast. The hosts were tremendously kind and provided helpful advice and maps for all our adventures in the area. Thank you!
