Sehr gutes Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis, sehr gut geeignet für Städtetrip mit sehr nettem Vermieter

Großes, sehr sauberes Appartement mit 2 getrennten Schlafzimmern ( wie gewünscht ). Sehr gutes Frühstück und ein sehr freundlicher Gastgeber, der sofort auf Wünsche eingeht

Leider ist es bei geöffnetem Fenster laut im Zimmer , da die Unterkunft an einer verkehrsreichen Kreuzung liegt.

Superschöner Aufenthalt.

Tolle Lage der Wohnung, alle Sehenswürdigkeiten fussläufig erreichbar. Tolles Frühstück, wurde jeden Morgen vom Gastgeber in die Wohnung gebracht. (79 Stufen und das jeden Morgen, Respekt!) Absolut toller Gastgeber, würden diese Wohnung bei unserem nächsten Dresdenbesuch wieder mieten. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt!

Gorgeous, spacious and comfortable apartment with a lovely breakfast and helpful manager. It's in a good location for getting to all of the attractions in Dresden.

The only issue was the noise from the trams as they pass over a nearby junction. However, after busy days we were still able to get plenty of sleep.

Nice, roomy apartment with some caveats

Big, roomy apartment that was very clean. We came in winter, so it was very cold, but the rooms stayed nice and warm with radiators on and doors closed. There is a secure car park very nearby (€9 per day) and the apartment is conveniently located, with old town Dresden and the Semperoper a short walk away. Wi-Fi worked great for us.

These next points are caveats for others, especially non-Europeans. This is not a hotel, per se, so you will not have the luxury conveniences of a hotel. For instance, there was ONE roll of toilet paper (no spares) and no other paper products, like tissues, napkins, etc. We stayed for 3 nights and did not have daily housekeeping. We were told at checkout that someone knocked on our door each day to offer housekeeping, but we never heard a thing. We did not have the breakfast that everyone else has raved about because the guy checking us in seemed to discourage it by saying there were lots of bakeries nearby. Also, for non-Europeans: be aware that there is no elevator (a problem if you are disabled or have lots of heavy luggage) and that the shower is one of those modified bathtub types. This means that you are standing the wrong way in the bathtub, feet at a funny angle, with a somewhat flimsy, glass half-door behind you. That said, the shower worked fine and the water was always warm. There was some noise from the street, and an occasional barking dog above us, but nothing that really affected us. The noise from outside may be a completely different issue in summer, when windows are open, as there is no central A/C.

Great stay in Dresden

Clean and big room. Breakfast is of good quality and amount. Great host. You can reach every important location quite easy by walking or tram. I would stay again here if I come back to Dresden.

The host was communicative and helpful . The room is large and comfortable there are goid arrangements to have bring prepared food and have our meals in the room (refrigirator. Small dining table etc)

Nice apartment to general visit of Dresden with great host

- thorough and fulling breakfast plus drink of choice (coffee, tea), plus fruit juice - plenty of room even for 2 people - renovated and modernised bathroom - kept retro general style of room design - perfect location for tourists and for exploring Dresden sights and activities - overall clean

- occasional ants in bathroom - noisiness with open window - ventilation - after a night with windows closed or comong back to the apartment from a long stay-away the atmosphere gets stuffy

Gorgeous historical apartment in Neustadt.

It's a gorgeous historical apartment in Neustadt. We have stayed in Altstadt some times, many of them preserve the outside of historical buildings, but most of the inside of the buildings have been refurbished. However here, not only the exterior, but also the stairs, corridors, living room and bedroom are beautifully preserved, and the furniture is perfectly unified. That makes us so happy and we felt like we could enjoy the atmosphere of old Dresden. The kitchen was good equipped with the facilities which you needed to prepare your meal or coffee. The bed mattress was very comfortable. We spent three beautiful days in Dresden. We would like to return to Gästehaus Metz again. Thank you very much!

It was a bit inconvenient because there was only a very small knife in the kitchen. It would be helpful if you could organize an normal cooking knife.

A very pleasant way to see Dresden without staying right in the centre of it.

This really is a luxurious yet also tasteful place to stay, quite a fancy hotel by our standards and in a good location and in a grand and interesting building in a neighbourhood that is worth exploring a little as well as the centre of Dresden which is a tram ride or relatively short walk away.

The only slight drawback was being hassled a little bit too much about our time of arrival: understandable as the owner doesn't want to be at reception all day long, but we did feel a little pressured and had to hurry, which wasn't ideal. I haven't marked the hotel down for this though, as I do understand the reasons.

Superb

A lovely welcome from Tino who took time to show us where we were in Dresden and made suggestions where we may find places to visit and eat etc. The location was great - just a short walk to the bridge taking into the centre of Dresden. The side of the river Elbe where accommodation is based is lovely for for eating and walking and lots of fountains. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Lastly very convenient if arriving via train from Neustadt station.
