between 3 and 4 star but not a 4

Location must be good but the typhoon prevented us from going out. The little garden next to the breakfast room is nice. Room was large.

Poor, we will not return again

The room smelled when we first went in and the smell was from the toilet. The room was also dark. The worst thing was the breakfast. The food was bad and selection was so limited. The breakfast was served till 1000 but the server already stopped refilling food from 0930. We stayed here years ago and everything was lovely, including the rooms and the breakfast and facilities. Now this hotel is old and food is very bad.

Pleasant stay in a great district of Taipei.

Within walking distance from Dongmen MRT Station and the Da'an district which has a lot of good places to eat and is generally nice to stroll around. Breakfast selection was excellent if you like savoury breakfasts (and I do). It is catered to the Asian market so don't expect a full western style buffet. There is enough if you feel like something plain to eat in the morning (like my partner does). Bed was generous in size. Reception refunded my initial payment as I had selected my home currency (AUD) on the credit card machine to paying again TWD. I realised this a couple of hours after checking in and it was completed with no fuss by the front desk. Paying in TWD is much better as your bank will undoubtably have a better exchange rate

You could hear the person coughing from the room next door and I am sure they could hear us as well. Rooms are on the dark side even with all the lights on. No secure wifi on the 5th floor (or higher I assume). Secure wifi on the ground floor though.

Staff were always helpful, overall happy with our stay.

Staff were always helpful, decent toiletries available if you forgot to bring some things. Silky blanket good for summer, bed was comfy and bidet was useful.

Lift seems to take a while, furniture a bit outdated. Kind of in between metro stations but not too bad.

Superb

We booked deluxe twin room. Location 7min easy walk to MRT Dongmen & bus station is the reason we pick this hotel. Bus stop Renai Road is right in front of hotel. Room is spacious and comfortable. But lighting need to be change and improve. Abit dark. Thankful we got the corner room with window that has sunlight. The bed is super comfortable. But the pillow provided is too soft. The lobby reception then provide with a green bean pillow which is good for medium sleeper like me. The toilet is equipt with bath tub, shower cubicle and bidet. The shower gel & shampoo provided is so lovely. Water pressure is strong, good relax shower after a hot day. Wifi is fast. The socket point is limited. No USB pot. Laundry washer and dryer is available at basement. Simple breakfast is available with local & western choice. Coffee and cut fruits salad is good. Lobby staff is courteous. Nearby hotel has Uncle Ma(Halal), few restaurants and cafe, 7-11, Dongmen market. Family mart, PX mart, famous Yongkang area is just across the street. Overall good stay. Recomended!

Lighting need to be added and improve. More socket point with USB pot. Carpet need to replace.

good location. the room has everything a standard hotel business suite has which is a good value to money. the breakfast was not impressive but ok. the staffs were very polite.

the only thing i didn't like was there's a little bit of odor in the room. it's tolerable so i didn't complain. it's common among a lot of "older" hotels.

The hotel is comfortable and well maintained. We had a good stay.

The location is very good. Only a few minutes to Dongman metro station. We stayed at twin beds suite and the room is pretty nice.

The carpet is kind of old and the lighting is too dark.

There are good and bad points about the hotel, so the stay was fair

Centrally located near many attractions.

Check out time is 11am and strictly enforced with penalty. Bathroom around the toilet not fully sanitized. High humidity in room hence has moldy smell.

Decent room with poor sound insulation

Staff of the hotel were helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and clean.

Walls were extremely thin. Our sleep was disturbed during our stay in the hotel. We can hear all sort of noises from the room next door. We did feedback this to the hotel staff but I guess there’s only so much that they can do about it.

Very good value hotel with big rooms, nice bathrooms (great strong shower), friendly staff. For my second stay in Taipei after visiting central Taiwan I decided to come back again and stayed in the hotel in total for about two weeks. During this time, breakfast options were changed every day so I was happy with breakfast provided. Good location, less than five minutes walk from a metro station. Close to the metro station there is popular Yong Kang street with many restaurants. Nearby you can also find the most famous Taiwanese restaurant Din Tai Fung (the first original location).

Perfect stay

I loved pretty much everything about this hotel; it was clean and spacious, the staff was so polite, courteous and helpful. The hotel is closer to Dongmen MRT station, so it was easy to get about. Breakfast was lovely too with a combination of local and western options.

The only thing was pillows; They were too soft.
