Comfortable hotel

We were a family of 2 kids and 2 adults staying for one night, our room was very comfortable and clean.

I didn't like that when we were paying for our room in cash it was asked that we use card instead or split half card and half cash. After staff discussed this 'issue' our payment in cash was accepted but it felt uncomfortable having to explain our finances when just wanting to check in.

Zeer comfortabele kamer: modern, goede bedden en mooie badkamer.

Het hotel ligt buiten het centrum van Galway, maar prima te doen met het OV of met de auto. Of lopen (45-60 minuten).

Good value for your money

Location was good, a little ways away from downtown but convenient. Free parking and lots of restaurants close by. Great pool/spa facilities. Staff were friendly and accommodating. There were lots of kids in rooms beside us but we didn’t hear a peep at any time.

Very enjoyable, great location, great facilities and suitable for families.

Swimming pool was great for the kids. Hot tub and jacuzzi for the adults. Food in the restaurant was lovely. Breakfast had good selection of hot food and continental. Kids loved the pancake maker. Short drive to salthill. Very close to kids activity center.

Bringing the towels from the room to the pool was a bit of a chore.

Awkward stay

The bar was comfortable and staff were nice The hotel lobby was nice The location of the hotel was good near enough to the city The night staff were very helpful and friendly

Front desk staff wasn't super friendly on arrival we booked a standard room but were sent to a disability friendly room was not happy about that The beds were hard and uncomfortable to sleep in got barely any sleep

A lovely spot to spend a few nights in Galway. Skip the breakfast and nothing will disappoint

The staff were very pleasant and welcoming on the front desk. The room was nicely decorated, the bathroom was fabulous and the tv with qr code to login to Netflix was something I hadn’t come across before. Loved the room!

The breakfast wasn’t great. Nice scrambled eggs & rashers but the rest of the fried food had a peculiar taste

The bed was fine

Room was dark so hard to read or shave with such poor lighting, there was no water pressure in the taps or shower, the room was tired and in need of revamping. Also no EV chargers

Greatly recommend Clybaun hotel for a family holidays in Galway. We will definitely be back.

We stayed 3 nights in the hotel. It id only about 10 minutes drive to Salthill Promenade and about 20 minutes drive to Galway city centre. It was very handy and we did the Hop on Hop off tour of the city and the following day the Aran island and Cliffs of Moher tour. The hotel has a lovely restaurant wwith deliecious food, I greatly recomment the rump steak. Our bedeoom was spacious, clean and beds really comfortable.

Great facilities for a great price. Would stay again.

The room was spacious. The decor of the bar was nice. The pool was big and a good depth. They also had a gym which seemed popular. We liked that it was so close to Salthill and was very reasonably priced.

There was a some construction underway, near the hot tub and conservatory bar which took away from the atmosphere a little.

Staff in leisure centre were quite rude!

The room was fabulous and very modern!

It was very hot in the room and no air conditioning! Rang down for a fan and after 5 times there was no answer

Was told at check in breakfast was 7.30 euro per person but it was not.

There was a buzzing noise all night in our room which was very frustrating. Also we arrived late evening and there were no options for any room service or food in bar which was disappointing.

Very pleasant stay

The room was big and comfy. very clean room and bathroom. Dinner was very nice, food was great. there was live music that we liked a lot. Breakfast was very nice as well, big variety of food, spacious and beautiful restaurant. Swimming pool was great, very clean. it was a very pleasant stay. would come back for sure

won’t be back

parking on site good Wi-Fi we never got to try the leisure Center

Locked hotel entrance door when we arrived at 11pm. Waited outside, night porter came to open the door. Was two other guests waiting too that had been waiting longer before we arrived. Bed was very uncomfortable

Clybaun is awesome

We liked how spacious the rooms were and the reception folks are very friendly and helpful. We loved the shower in the room..Amazing.! Also we liked how we had access to Netflix.

We didn't like that they were renovating while we there but they would start later in the morning so not too bad. We didn't like that it was far from any shops or other restaurants or pubs other than O'Gormans which is in hotel. We could have been offered a map of places to go from hotel. The bus schedule was every half an hour. Long wait if you missed one bus.

Hotel is great… pool is not

Good location for what we needed in Galway. Staff in the main hotel were excellent and very helpful when we needed some things we forgot for our little girl.

The staff in the pool area were unhelpful and the rules enforced around the pool are not suited to young children/families or communicated appropriately before the stay. This made the stay less enjoyable as we didn’t use the pool after one visit.
