We give 10 because we cannot give more

The accommodation lies at the heart of the old city of Rethymnon. Although it is an old manor, it has super modern facilities. Our room was sparkling clean, with a fully equipped kitchenette and beautifully decorated. But most of all, we want to mention our hostess, Iro, who was more than kind, friendly and helpful. This accommodation will be our first choice when we visit Rethymnon again. Thank you very much, Iro!

We had a wonderful stay at Barbara Studios! The location is very central but also very quiet. It is a charming old family house converted into small studios. You can find everything you need in the room and if you need anything Iro is very kind and helpful. We felt at home during our stay and look forward to staying there again :)

The location, atmosphere, rooms, garden, staff... Everything was great and incredibly good value for money

Can't really think of anything at all, bathrooms are quite small but value for money is still great!

Perfect localisation in a friendly atmosphere.

Great, energetic and supportive host! Owner even has her own handmade map with recommendations! We were also able to check-in earlier. Great localisation - in the middle of old city center; lot of restaurants, pubs and a shop nearby. Room was nice (even with a welcome rakija drink!), there is a nice roof terrace to have a rest in the evening. Working A/C and comfy bed.

Room is in an very old house - it is not a disadvantage, but you should remember that. Our room had only a window coming to the patio, which is a common area (it was also not a problem). There was a strange smell in bathroom, not unpleasant though - you just get used too.

Then owner Iro was sooo friendly and explained us the whole city and things to do. We loved her cute doggie who is already 14 years old and still climbs the stairs like a champ. We loved our stay here. They also washed our clothes for a reasonable price. We rented EBikes and had such an amazing day at the Arcadi Monastery and an Olive Oil museum, Margarites village with its amazing pottery and so many great rides up and down. The room was great, bed comfortable and had a fridge and coffee machine as well. The rooftop view and location next to the Venezian fortress where they also have concerts in summer and you can listen to it from Barbara Studios rooftop. There is a restaurant just opposite which we liked. It was a bit more on the expensive side but great kitchen. We would love to stay here again. Thanks Iro for a wonderful stay and we wish your cute doggie a result on the blood test Alissa and Chris

Very good familiar atmosphere. In the old town, near everything but quiet. Beautiful and clean spaces, both the rooms and common spaces (patios and terrace). Perfect!

Wanderfool stay in Rethymno at Barbara Studios

Everything was as we expected and we had a big pleasure to stay at Barbara Studios. Quite place in the Heart of Rethymno. The host Iro is just amaizing 😁🙏. If you would be lucky and stay here on Saturday, you would get a piece of 🍰 made by Iro 👍😁 Happy Holidays!

I stayed at Barbara Studios with my partner for 2 weeks and absolutely loved it there. Location is fabulous, right in the old town, close to the port and beaches. The flat was cleaned every other day which was pleasantly unexpected. The kitchen had everything required but the hob was basic. Ok if you don't want to cook often or cook only for 1 or 2 people. Iro and the staff were very friendly. The building has a roof-top terrace, a garden in the backyard and another terrace. Great to just chill, read or play board games. All in all, I highly recommend the place and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again :) :)

Iro was fantastic, she explained us how to do the self check-in because we arrived in Rethymno during the evening, and told us a lot of things about the city in a very kind and detailed way. The apartment was perfect, very big and clean. We only can thank them for the kindness and the hospitality.

We had an amazing time and would love to return one day!

We loved everything! On arrival we were stunned by the building's beauty. We found a little free gift of homemade bread and a small bottle of Raki which we loved. Our apartment was so beautiful, we loved the decor, the balcony, and all the facilities, it had everything you needed, coffee, sugar, condiments in the cupboards, toiletries in the bathroom, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, washing machine, the list goes on etc.. I think most of all, I loved the bedroom, again the decor and the bed was extremely comfortable!

Nothing, the fact I had to leave.

Amazing!

Clean beautiful rooms with nice terrace. Iro was amazingly polite and helpful and even took photos of my proposal to my fiance. The place was amazing highly recommend!

Overall, this was one of the very best experience I had, among all my stays.

Our host, Iro, was so nice and extremely helpful. In many occasions, she helped us even with things beyond our accommodation: helping with taxi, great suggestions for restaurants or any time we need something about the property. On arrival, we reached Retymno quite late but she still helped us find a solution to check-in. The property has a fabulous location: In the heart of the old town, very close to the sea and many of the great parts of the town. The thing we liked most about the property was its authentic look. You really feel local there. In front of our room there was a little terrace ,which was great for having a tea or coffee after breakfast or sit outside with some drinks in the evening. We also liked very much the rooftop, which is open to all the guests: it was wonderful to spend the late night there with some drinks and a fantastic view.

An incredibile attention to detail. As soon as you enter the studio you realise it is over the top!

More a suggestion than a negative aspect: mosquito nets at the windows would have been appreciated so as one can sleep without air conditioning on

Great location and a super friendly host!

The room was spacious and comfortable with a separate bedroom. Aircon worked very well. Plenty of cabinets in the bedroom made it easy to organize things. The room had a great outside space with a table and chairs. We were welcomed by a very nice lady, who explained us the room and the rules. She even baked a cake for the guests! She was always available on Whatsup in case of questions.

The roof terrace is great but it needs some better cleaning and some umbrellas over the tables (too hot to sit there with no shade). The third person in the room had to sleep on a foldable bed, would be better to have a regular sofa or a single bed.

Everything! Located in the Old Town, this is a stunning building, beautifully renovated rooms on different floors. Plenty of space to sit and relax in shaded areas when it’s too hot. Cool room, and a comfortable bed ensured a peaceful night. Staff are so helpful and friendly and communication was excellent prior to our stay.

Emmersive experience in 'old Greek temple-ish' style room and real hospitallity

The rooms are very nice indeed, in a beautifull old style. A very nice bathroom and shower. The bed was very comfortable and fridge and tea/coffee corner complete. The house has very nice quiet open air and cool spaces to sit out in.. This beautifull place is right in the center and very close to bars, restaurants and the famous old fountain. The owner is very helpful in helping you settle in and making sure you are comfortable and informing you on all the choice of restaurants and bars as well as places and beaches to visit

There is not anything to dislike about this place!

Location was excellent, just a few meters from the old port, fort and restaurants, yet very quiet, I could sleep with my window open at night. The room was extremely cozy, decorated with a great eye for details. Would definitely come back!

The location is fantastic and the room was lovely, we had our own small balcony and the room/facilities were immaculately clean. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, she advised us on day trips etc
