Read our 5 star reviews. La Vida Loca Cottage offers a relaxing get-a-way and lake front enjoyment. The innovation design of the house is perfect for leisure living as well as providing an elegant venue for entertaining and family fun. Even when the lake is low, we are on open water, which means there is always water in front of the house. If the lake is down there is just more beach area.
There are 2 public boat ramps near by and boat rentals available. Ask for more information and we will provide you with and information sheet on Cedar Creek Lake area activities.
The southern exposure on open water, and wrap around covered deck is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the predominantly southern breeze. A fresh cup of coffee in the morning on the deck overlooking the lake is a must. The cottage offers a large living area with vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, expansive use of glass, a spacious well-appointed kitchen, and large informal dining bar. Outside the approximately 800 square feet of decking creates the perfect outdoor environment where you and lucky guests will enjoy east facing open water views and unlimited entertainment possibilities. In addition, there is a private boathouse with large sun deck.
We have 2 Kayaks that are available for our guests use.
The house is in a clean well maintained neighborhood that is free of mobile homes.

We had a great stay, clean and comfortable. We stayed in for dinners, good selection of dishes, cookware, etc. Only stayed 2 nights this trip but will definitely return to this lovely home. Kids loved the yard to play in and also the air hockey table! Would highly recommend this home for future stays!

The location was great. The water was higher this summer so we were able to float relatively close to the house. The bottom is soft but not too squishy so you don't have to wear water shoes if you don't want to. The house was very clean, they provided lots of bed linens, shower towels and beach towels. It says it can park 4 cars on the listing but it easily holds 6! Super close to public boat launch in Log Cabin and Lee park is pretty close as well! I would definitely stay here again. Great house! Family came and celebrated my 48 birthday and it was a nice two nights! We felt at home and had all we needed for a relaxing time. We fished off the dock, kids played on the beach and we had good food a day family time! We would rent this place again, as it was a great fit!

This was just a quick family weekend get together. It was great that my grandson could play in the water right in front of the house. Even though the water is down in the lake we were still able to bring our pontoon boat right up to the dock.

Comfy, Relaxing Retreat
Every year our family stays at a Lakehouse to reconnect with each other. This home was perfect for us! We spent most of our time on the wrap around porch or in the lake. The dock had ladders, a place to tie up a boat (safely & securely) and the lake floor was free of debris. The common area was perfect… I loved how accommodating it was… whether it was family game night or family movie night, we fit perfectly! The beds were comfy, the kitchen was stocked and we had plenty of towels, tp, paper towels, & trash bags (usually a sore spot for us!).
The only thing we had a problem with was the local pizza place “lost” our order and we had to eat sandwiches for dinner on our last night. No problems at all with the home, location, or amenities!!

Peaceful and Relaxing
After a year of isolation, it might seem strange that we were looking for a place just to get away from the hubbub, but that's what we were after and that's exactly what we got--a quiet and relaxing getaway.
The house is as lovely as the pictures with plenty of space and has just about everything you could need. (I will say that the collection of cookware is a bit eclectic, so if there's something specific you need for cooking, double-check before arriving or bring it with you, and if you prefer to unpack rather than live out of a suitcase, you might need more hangers.) It's also in a very quiet area, which is really nice for a getaway. There wasn't much boat traffic in that area, we only saw one neighbor on the lakefront, and only a few people anywhere in the neighborhood as we were out and about. Perfect.
The only other thing I'd point out, in case it's important to you, is that the internet in the area is not fiber optic and can apparently be iffy sometimes. We knew this in advance so adjusted travel dates slightly so we wouldn't absolutely need a solid connection for work purposes, and I'm glad we did. The first day or so, the weather was stormy and the connection was very intermittent. And television access is entirely streaming, so without the internet, there's also no TV. But, once the weather moved out, the connection was totally fine. Also, though our phones (ATT) seemed to work fine the entire week we were there, when we got out of the area a bit, a bunch of older text messages were delivered. Obviously, there's nothing the owners can do about this sort of thing, but if you're someone who absolutely must stay entirely within reach at all times, you might want to check with your provider about service in the area.
But, I point out these minor details only for a fuller picture of the environment because I know not everyone is looking for the same thing. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at his house, and it gave us exactly what we needed from our vacation. The open kitchen/living area let everyone stay involved in the conversation (or TV show) even when meals were being prepared, all the windows throughout the house gave wonderful views of the lake, the patio was fantastic, with lots of different seating areas to enjoy the outdoors, and the patio table was a great place for a peaceful dinner, especially on nights we grilled out.
If you're looking for a place to enjoy a relaxing getaway on the water, you won't be disappointed here.
