Le calme La douche très grande et sécurisante Bonne literie

Accès à la chambre par escalier très étroit Pas de climatisation Chambre exiguë Le lavabo est au bout du lit sans séparation WC privatif, mais à l’extérieur de la chambre sur palier avec une marche. Petit déjeuner à améliorer.

Lovely breakfast with plenty of choices including yogurts, fruits, cereals, breads, croissants and homemade jams. Great location right next to the canal, very picturesque.

It is a great place to stay, we are cycling the canal du midi and it is a perfect place to stop and we also had a lovely evening meal and the breakfast was great aswell. And our hosts were very welcoming. Would definitely return.

Cosy room with amazing hosts

The room was very cosy, pretty with very nice furniture. The area was very calm and beautiful. The hosts were very responsive and understanding. I felt really nice and welcome staying at this place.

It is an old house, so the only problem is that you can hear everything outside the rooms - people walking, talking, making tea etc.

It was , from an outsiders perspective , a very French thing to do.

The canal house was wonderful , lovely location. The two women running it are also lovely , chatty and friendly and obliging.

The hosts were extremely accomodating and there was a very nice area for coffee or tea and a fridge downstairs for the use of guests.

We did not stay at the hotel.

We booked a room with en suit bathroom & toilet. Confirmation stated ground floor room with bath, shower & toilet. When we finally arrived at the property which people in the local village directed us too as the sat nav didn't take us directly to the property, there was absolutely nobody there. Property was locked up, everything in darkness & nobody there to greet us. We called & they said they were on their way. On entry to the property they took us upstairs to a room not as stated on the confirmation, the room only had a sink & small shower cubicle - no toilet. On asking the toilet for the room was on the landing at the top of the stairs next to the door of the adjacent bedroom. This was not what I booked, I would not even consider any property without a toilet in the room. I did not want to get dressed in the night just to go to the toilet especially as it was minus 3 degrees, this was an overnight stop so did not pack slippers & a dressing gown.

The positioning of the 'ensuite toilet' somewhat spoilt an otherwise perfect stay

Beautiful and quirkily decorated room in a stunning building right next to the Canal. Excellent breakfast. Onsite parking

The room we stayed in was advertised as having an ensuite bathroom but the toilet was actually outside the room, immediately adjacent to another guest's bedroom door and we had to cross a public area to access it. It was solely for our use but was in no way ensuite.

very comfortable and in a wonderful rural setting by the canal. loved it that we could get dinner there too. After a long cycle it was just what we needed.

A gem of a place with fabulous hosts -considerate, friendly and helpful. Great terrace to the rear of the property which was a breakfast/dining area with bar.

Location is superb, closeby you have the town with restaurants (5minutes drive). The place is really clean and nicely taken care of. The mattress was super comfortable. For Breakfast you get fresh bread and croissants , cereals yogurt juice and fresh fruit. And something hot to drink.

The only thing I could say is that shower in the same room where you sleep takes all the privacy. Just consider it. Other than that, super approved!

The location would be great in the summer or at least when the weather is good.

We had a room where the toilet was outside the room and up a couple of stairs not great in the middle of the night.

Lovely location, friendly staff

Very friendly staff, they weren't at the house when we arrive, but promptly answered the phone and gave instructions on how to get in and we were able to enter the room, take a shower and leave. We only met them the next day at breakfast. Which was very good, great bread and croissants. The location is delightful, by the écluse, in the middle of nowhere only 5 kms away from Castelnaudary.

The bathroom is inside the room and has no doors. Not to the toilet or the shower. Not even a curtain to give some privacy. The room smelled like lavanda and tobacco.

The rooms were decorated really thoughtfully and it made it a really unqiue stay. The breakfast was very tasty! They had local food and very friendly staff. It location eight by the canal is great for cyclists or anyone on a boat who wants a bed to stay in.

Perfect location for cyclists being right on the canal. Delicious home cooked meal served using local organic produce. Owners and son very helpful.
