Convenient location excellent staff, clean facilities, affordable and super comfy!

I stayed for nine days and eight nights. My visit was to catch up with friends and to process my visa at the Embassy. Due to the incredibly hot and humid weather, I spent most of my days inside my dorm. The hostel was cozy, with strong internet reception that allowed me to work remotely and drapes for privacy. The bed was extremely comfortable and came with a lockable cabinet for valuables. The kitchen was equipped with a large refrigerator, microwave, teapot, and sink, making it convenient to prepare coffee, heat meals, and store groceries. Showers and facilities are excellent, and laundry is available too. The hostel is easily accessible, just a short walk from the airport's free shuttle to the Subway-Airport line (K13), four stops away from Nakasu-Kawabata (K09), exit 7 (Theatre and Art Museum is here too.). After taking two escalators and turning right, a ten-minute straight walk leads you to the hostel on the right. Look for bicycles parked out front, so you don't miss it. Nearby are two convenience stores, Lawson and Family Mart, and a bakery in a pleasant residential area. The staff are exceptional, speaking English fluently, and there's a nice 24-hour meeting area and a bar open from 7:30 pm until 10 pm. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Common De Hostel and plan to return.

It would be helpful for travelers whose plans change to modify their refund policy. For example, my visa was completed just two days into my stay. I could have gone home early, but I paid for so many days, I didn't want to forfeit that investment, so I stayed. Once you pay, the total amount is nonrefundable. (maybe some booking agencies differ?)

Fun and socialble

location was pretty good, everywhere around Fukuoka is mostly within walking distance, the staff were great and very friendly, check-in was easy etc. The rooms are clean and include a safety deposit box which is always handy. Is a great place to stay for solo travellers being able to meet at the bar. The bartenders were always chatty and helpful and the pour-over coffee available in the mornings is super tasty, the barista is fantastic.

the regularly cleaning even over a longer stay can get a little annoying especially if you're trying to have a bit of a sleep-in, I don't think the sheets really need changing every second day.

Great!

Very clean and comfortable hostel! I loved how everyone had their little cabin for some privacy and the mattresses and blankets were very comfortable. Also you get a new towel everyday if you want. It is also located in a calm area but the center is easy to reach! The staff was also very friendly and is understanding when you have a problem. I felt very welcomed! Thank you! I absolutely recommend! :)

Great stay

Definitely staff was super friendly and very helpful from the moment you enter the place. Thank you Tomo san for all the recommendations for Fukuoka - it worked perfectly! The room was really comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

I recommend it for solo traveler!

I think the property is clean and easily accessible from Hakata station by train. The small room is clean, comfortable and cozy. There are bathrooms and also toilets available in my floor, and they are clean too.

Nice quiet place with big family rooms. Excellent service. Great staff. Perfect location near subway and international passengers terminal for ferry to Busan. 12 minutes walk from busy city center. Recommended!

Great stay at a great price

Wonderful to have someone to greet you when you arrive, give you recommendations for dinner and call you a taxi when needed. Also, we loved having a bar in the hotel. Rooms have everything that you need with very comfortable beds. Great stay at a great price...

Location is halfway between ferry and train station- we did walk from the ferry to the hotel on arrival. We took a taxi to the train station .... You could walk both directions but it does take awhile.

Great place to start Japan tour

everything was fantastic! the super friendly welcome at the front desk, the room was cool and the bed really cosy and comfortable. complementary toothbrush and paste, slippers and fresh bedding and towels the next day. everything was very clean, walking distance to the river where there’s little cruises and the typical yatais. great for solo travel!!

Superb

The staff was very nice.❤ Clean and high standard facilities (bathroom, shower, toilets). Comfortable bedding. Free amenities and nice towels.

Room cleaning time was stated as 11:00 to 15:00 but was more from 9:30 to 11:00 for our room. Other guests were a bit noisy.

Good decor. Solitary people.

The location is close to the Hakata pier and many tourist attractions and is connected to many other central areas with buses and subway. In a walking distance to Nakasu which is the central downtown nightlight area of Fukuoka.

The guests flock to themselves even though there is a lounge and a bar. The people flock here are solitary travelers and are not prone to making friends on the go.
