The worst value ever. Nothing about 5 stars.

Good location.

Very small room, much less than declared 20 m2 ( I suppose 14-15 max), the bed attached to the walls on 2 sides makes it very uncomfortable, moreover one wall which the bed is attached to has a window facing cafe and the tables outside are literally touching the bed ( noisy and makes it impossible to open curtains otherwise people sitting at the tables will be watching the bed and the whole room. Breakfast is quite poor and a lot of flies around. Gym is in the neighbor hotel. No SPA. Is this 5 star? Expensive but the worst value hotel.

A fun hotel to come and stay at with all the conveniences to relax and go from in this big city of Stockholm.

Fun place and convenient to all that we wanted to see. Staff were very helpful with suggestions and our needs. Wonderful to have a full time restaurant/bar on the premises.

Room was too cluttered with stuff that took up space for our stuff. We stayed 4 nights but very little space to put belongings and store our luggage.

The staff were enthusiastic and helpful

The room and furniture were tired Bed was ancient with no support No air conditioning so had to leave the window open only to be woken by traffic at the crack of dawn

We would stay again as hotel was in a brilliant location with friendly staff.

Breakfast was a good mix of cooked options,fruit,pastries etc For our taste coffee and tea were very weak. Excellent location within walking distance of attractions and very pretty on the waterfront. Staff were very helpful and informative.

Main menu was a little limited so we ate out a few times . Many restaurants close by. Room was not overly spacious and tv needed updating as it was not always working that well. However we hardly needed it as there was so much to do.

We will happily rebook again, it was a fabulous stay.

Felt very accommodated and welcome as soon as we arrived by the staff and were so amazed at the view and location of the hotel.

The bar outside at the front of the hotel, if they could sell food and drink not just drinks that would be amazing so we could eat and drink whilst admiring the spectacular views.

Lovely hotel. Great breakfast. Lovely view. Really comfortable bed. Very clean. Wonderful shower. Loved the robes and soft slippers.

Comforter not quite big enough to cover 2 people in bed. Art work depressing (especially of the chained elephant and tsunami).

Refined Elegance

This hotel is superb in every way. We have stayed at several ‘Small Luxury Hotels of the World’, each varying sizeably in standard but without hesitation, we would class The Lydmar Hotel at the very top end and certainly justifies being a small, luxury hotel. Apart from the excellent location (a short walk away from the City District, the old town, and various other islands), the food here is a delight. The standard of cleanliness is exceptionally high, it offers spacious rooms and unlike most cities, it is very quiet. What really makes this hotel however is it’s staff. They are extremely professional, courteous and friendly. The welcome is warm from the moment you arrive and they go out of their way to provide assistance with restaurant recommendations, taxi bookings and provide a very good account of ‘Fika’!! Special mention must however be given to the face’ of The Lydmar Hotel, the gentleman who is ‘front of house’, the gentleman who arranged our anniversary dinner and who, quite simply, is a credit to the hotel.

unique decor - vey creative and interesting. our room offered a beautiful view of the water and city.

that we had to leave for another property in another city!
