Fantástica estancia en Filoxenia Beahc

El desayuno en la terraza, todo casero: los bizcochos, las galletas, el pan... Ver el mar nada más levantarte y la tranquilidad de la playa. Aunque, sobre todo, nos encantó lo acogedoras y amables que fueron todas las trabajadoras. Un punto extra es tener al lado el restaurante Peppers, que está todo buenísimo y, además, te lo puedes llevar para comer en la terraza del hotel escuchando las olas y viendo el atardecer.

Todo fue genial. El hotel está lejos del centro, pero eso ya lo sabíamos y lo preferimos, porque era más fácil aparcar y había menos jaleo. Estuvimos estupendamente ;)

The right choice to stay in Rethymno!

All the rooms have incredible view to the sea. Direct access to the seaside (with sunbeds and umbrellas). Great swimming pool. Breakfast looking to the amazing coast of Rethymno. Short walk to the city center (~1.5-2km), free parking area less than 10min from the hotel. Hospitality of the host.

More vegetables and some hot vegan options during breakfast would be great😉

The stuff, the amazing breakfast, the possibility to swim straight away and all the small details that showed that they took care of the guests. I would gladly come there again.

There is no possibility to park close by even to upload your luggage, unless it is Sunday. You still need a car to visit around. The building is a bit outdated by itself. The outside door of the balcony does not lock, and it looks so easy to just step over the other person's balcony. However nothing happened when we left. It was not totally clean (bathroom).

Exceptional

If you want to fall asleep to the sound of the sea and wake up the same way, this is the place for you. It is clean, the bathroom is small but okay. The view from the balcony is amazing. The breakfast is small but nice! Every day there are other delicacies and always an egg dish. Eva is just great! She always had an open ear and the best tips for a great beach or a great restaurant. We enjoyed it very much and would always book again!

Family run so it was very personal. Location at the beach.

it was next to a very noisy street. Our room was facing the sea but you could still hear the street noise. I did not like the fact that so many people were constantly smoking. I wish they would be a smoke free facility. The beach was rocky so not so pleasant to swim.

we can recommend this hotel!

Insanely delicious, hearty and varied breakfast with Greek cuisine on the seashore! The hotel is within walking distance from the center, close to shops. I would like to note the hospitality of the owner of the hotel, she is smiling and pleasant to talk to, she suggested many interesting places to visit. we decided to stay in Rethymno at this hotel for one more night, we were received without any problems, even though the hotel was opened on the last day of this season.

The location of the hotel was perfect you could sleep hearing the sounds of the waves 🌊🌊🌊. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a good value for money hotel very clean and felt like home away from home.

I wish the rooms were bigger but still the room was quite comfortable

Location of this hotel is great. There is a beautiful sea view from the balcony and you can hear waves in the room. The staff is nice and very kind.

Hotel wasn't as clean as one would expect even if there was room service almost everyday. Everytime we got at least one dirty towel with different stains on it. We were very disappointed because the staff mostly didn't wear masks inside (except the cleaning lady). Because of covid pandemic we chose this hotel because on their site it seemed they are following health restrictions but that wasn't true. During our stay we tried to avoid employees without masks and because of that we couldn't feel as relaxed as we could.

Nice stay

The staff is really nice and they gave us useful recommendations for our trip. The location is right on the sea with amazing views of Rethymno’s fortress.

The rooms are quite old.

Comfortable beachfront hotel with perfect sea water and friendly + helpful hosts.

It was located directly on a private beach with very nice water for swimming -- crystal clear and very warm. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and even recommended a day trip which ended up being one of our favorite experiences on the island. Old town Rethymno was a 20 minute walk. There are some very good restaurants within 5 minute walk. The hotel itself offers some snacks and beverages during the day and breakfast was pretty good and could be enjoyed on the beautiful beachfront terrace.

The room was not very soundproof and you could hear a lot of talking and road noise. This didn't bother us too much at night while trying to sleep, but moreso in the mornings (we sleep late). We had the balcony which sits overtop of the reception area which obscured our view slightly when sitting, but it was still a great view. The balcony was a little on the small side.

Comfortable bed, delicious breakfast with fabulous views and amazing restaurants within walking distance. Couldn't have picked a better location. Nice walk into main area of Rethymos. Friendly welcoming staff really felt comfortable and relaxed as soon as we arrived. Nice spacious room with sea view balcony and beach towels provided. Really ticked all the boxes would definitely stay again.
