Super Zimmer, exzellenter Service und Essen

Anfahrt zum Hotel war überraschend steil. Oben angekommen wurden wir von einem super Zimmer und exzellentem Service überrascht. Unser Tisch fürs Abendessen wurde extra auf die Wiese getragen, damit wir beim Essen den perfekten Sonnenuntergang geniessen konnten. Abendessen und Frühstücksbuffet waren sehr gut. Poolanlage lädt zum Verweilen ein.

De locatie en het uitzicht zijn waanzinnig, het personeel vriendelijk en ook het zwembad is fijn.

De feesten van Mirissa beach zijn erg goed te horen 's nachts. Oordoppen aanbevolen.

An incredible stay with breathtaking views, exceptional cuisine, and abundant wildlife (bring cash!)

Our stay at Palace Mirissa was nothing short of incredible. The breathtaking views offered throughout the property were truly mesmerizing, providing a captivating backdrop to our time there. Although there were some areas with partial obstructions to the views, the overall beauty of the surroundings was stunning and left a lasting impression. The cooking staff at Palace Mirissa deserve special recognition for their exceptional service. They went out of their way to ensure that every meal, whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, was a delightful culinary experience. The delicious food they prepared surpassed our expectations, leaving us thoroughly satisfied. The presence of abundant wildlife added to the charm of Palace Mirissa. From graceful peacocks and a Bengal monitor (iguana) to majestic eagles and kingfishers, we were delighted by the harmonious coexistence of nature and the hotel. Observing these creatures in their natural habitat was a memorable and enjoyable experience. Also, there was a family of adorable dogs who just wanted to be loved - and their four 2-week-old puppies!!

While our overall experience at Palace Mirissa was truly remarkable, there was one aspect that fell short of expectations. When it came time to settle the bill, we encountered an inconvenience. Despite being informed that credit card payments were accepted, the hotel's payment machine was not functioning, leading to a prolonged wait of nearly 30 minutes. As a result, we were required to pay in cash, which proved inconvenient as it depleted our remaining funds. Given the cost of our stay, this issue was a letdown and left us somewhat disappointed.

Amazing!

Nice clean bungalows and helpful housekeepers. Beautiful garden with peacocks! Wonderful view! Not far from the beach with delicious meal and warm swimming pool :)

There was a disco till 6a.m.!!! Sound was so loud that we could not sleep :(

Peaceful stay

The location and the rooms ! The place was spic and span and the location was pristine. It is right on a small cliff overlooking the sea . The rooms are clean and well maintained.

very good stay - did the job. nothing fancy but rooms were great and comfortable and location perfect. Don’t think there

lovely setting across the whole hotel with small cabins scattered around on the cliff. Didn’t use the pool but looked decent. Restaursnt was shut but they made us breakfast and sourced drinks for us in the evening which was kind. The views from the restaurant were stunning on the cliffs edge looking out to sea. No sunset at this time of year but would be incredible when there is. Rooms and bathrooms very big with nice balcony and good AC.

Nice staff, big room with astonishing view of the ocean from the balcony, fair breakfast, a very calm palce with nice green trees and cool atmosphere!

The room was too dark, they need to put more lights in it. The refrigerator didn't work!

Not all the bungalows have good and clean sea view, some buildings have more a tree view than a sea view. We asked staff to change our bungalow and fortunately there was one with a little better view, but it was not like on pictures in description.

Improve room service

Pleasant and friendly staff. Great ocean view from bungalow 206. There are peacocks on the territory, sometimes monkeys appeared as well 🙂

Room service was absent 😔. Room hasn't been cleaned anytime during all staying. Nobody cares about resupply toilet paper, take away garbage, provide fresh towels and sheets 😔

shower was cold and didn’t work well (low pressure and didn’t stay on to the wall, kept falling on us). most of all. the music from the bars are so loud. I didn’t sleep a single night. I wish they would properly seal the rooms for the sound. then the cost for value would be on point

Great place in Mirissa, far from the hussle but with beautiful sea views

I liked pretty much everything: the location is beautiful, basically surrounded by a palm forest populated by monkeys (mind your stuff on the terrace). The food at the hotel restaurant is far better than most restaurants in Mirissa, and the staff is rather kind and helpful (we had a issue with a couple of light bulbs and they fixed it quickly). Nice pool, and quite various breakfast. Highly advised.

10 nights stay at Mirissa

The hotel's location at the top of the hill is great and the views are breathtaking. I would like to mention friendliness of staff, especially the person managing the restaurant and the person who helped us change the bungalow at our request. Visitors can use the swimming pool and the beach of a hotel down the road (those were really nice and the beach is probably the most clean on all of the southern coast). Also many thanks for the great new year celebration!

1. I would recommend trying to book bungalows farther from the slope of the hill as the beach gets extremely noisy at night and the parties go on until 2-3 a.m., it might be impossible to sleep even with ear plugs due to nonexistent soundproofing 2. There seems to be a problem with basic maintenance - i.e. the bungalows are cleaned and towels are changed only at request, some of the locks or other features might not be working 3. The hotel won't suit visitors fearing the insects - keep in mind that those are everywhere, including the bungalows 4. The dinner and breakfast choice is a bit repetitive, there aren't many options and the options didn't change over our whole stay.

Very good

We had a wonderful room/hut with balcony overlooking the palms and the sea. The colourful paint work was beautiful and the bed spacious and comfortable. Waking up to the sound of the sea was glorious, fantastic sunset views at the restaurant and the staff were friendly and helpful. We didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the food. Set away from the beach was just what I was after (ten min walk max) and getting taxis was simple.

If you’re a light sleeper, ask for a room at the back of the resort. We were in room one at the front and unfortunately a beach bars’ music is amplified by the bay. At five months pregnant the booming base until 3am upset me a little as we paid £70 a night (quite expensive for Sri Lanka) and purposefully booked away from the beach to have a little peace at night. Apart from that it really is a great stay!

The ceiling paintings are really cool! Friendly and helpful staff.

Really nice with a lot of food and fresh fruits, but I would recommend you to adjust the portions to avoid waste of food.

It's really good place to stay. Little bit old, but amazing view. Very good that we can us facilities of the Beach Palace Hotel. Breakfast: alot of different fruits, but similar every day.

Little corner of paradise

The view from 206 was the best I've ever seen. Felt like we were at the edge of the world. The staff were so friendly and obliging.

Nothing at all, but some might prefer a more obvious bar (they said we could get a beer but it wasn't that clear when)
