Rent och en fantastisk personal

La posizione ottima a pochi passi dalla spiaggia. Avevamo la macchina a noleggio e siamo riusciti a parcheggiare all’interno della struttura. Colazione buona e la famiglia è stata molto carina con noi

Short break close to Mirissa beach

Two night stay. Great location, walking distance to the beach and lots of restaurants. Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was particularly big and super clean. Very kind family looked after us during our stay even helping to arrange a taxi to Galle on our departure at a good price. Breakfast was great and plentiful. Water kindly provided on arrival. Comfie bed with mosquito net. Nice balcony where you could sit and watch the monkeys and squirrels in the evening. Also walking distance to Secret Beach.

Green tea at breakfast would have been nice but you could always buy your own from a store nearby.

Great Value for Money

Love this little spot and we would have stayed longer if we had the time! The hosts were lovely - they gave us some fresh mango when checking out. The room is spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. The mosquito net worked great and there were no flies or bugs sharing the room with us!! Space for parking and fast internet. Would stay again.

Nice and short stay

close to the beach and the surf spot, the room was very clean and with no uninvited guests ;) we had a super delicious breakfast there and the hosts are friendly.

Very nice place to stay and spend few days in Mirissa

Location: very close to the main street (2-3 mins walking) and the beach (5 mins walking) Breakfast: served as of 8:00 / 8:30, food variety changes every day as the owners are preparing breakfast on daily basis by themselves (fixed items), the taste of food is amazing (especially fruit plate & coconut pancakes). Hosts: family owned hotel with extremely nice & hospitable owners Room: very clean, with air conditioning & all needed amenities

We stayed 5 days and room make up was done only once per stay A lot of insects (especially ants) in the room

Would 100% stay again

The hotel is ran by a family, who are the most kindest welcoming family you could meet. Room was clean, nice and spacious with comfortable large bed. The water was hot for a shower everyday. Hotel is within walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shops. Breakfast was enjoyable with something different everyday and a taste of Sri Lanka. We enjoyed it that much that we booked an extra 3 nights and would have stayed longer.

WiFi was intermittent but worked 90% of the time.

great base for Marissa - close to beach and bars / restaurants

The staff were kind and friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious - we had a lovely balcony. It was easy walking distance to the beach and to the main town. They also arranged our laundry and turned it around really quickly. This was a perfect base for exploring Marissa and close to the main beach and the beach bars / restaurants. As it was off the Main Street it was quiet at night which was helpful.

The bathroom was designed in a way that a shower soaked the whole room - but that does seem consistent across Sri Lanka and only a minor problem.

Great value for money

Great location (close to the beach, yet far enough from the party life noise). Great and friendly staff. Clean rooms with all necessities. Even a moscito net over the bed which can be of great use!

Walking distance to both the village and the beaches with many restaurants. Nice balcony with furniture. Plenty and tasty breakfast. Helpful, kind and responsible couple who are running this property. They took our luggage to rooms.

Not like the pictures and not worth the money.

The location was good but mirissa is dirty and rubbish stay in Welligama instead

The room was dirty, had cockroaches. Tiny towels provided which weren’t offered to be changed. The room was so hot, power cuts which weren’t the owners fault however nothing was said about how we would be kept cool. The air con broke first night and wasn’t fixed. Room was like an oven and we checked out early as we couldn’t bare to stay any longer.

Very pleasant four-day stay at Rate Orchid Rest near wonderful Mirissa Beach!

Very nice and helpful staff, tasty breakfast with fruit and fruit juice, comfortable beds, balcony. We were very satisfied.

The rooms are very simple but clean. Unfortunately the bathroom only has a very small window so the air is stuffy and very humid.

The Wi-if quality was not so good in the room. You can only pay in cash.

Clean and comfortable budget hotel.

Great location for both the village and the beaches. Everything in the room worked, great aircon, fridge, kettle/ tea & coffee, good shower, nice balcony with furniture and a handy drying rack. Room not huge but not small either but with places to put your stuff and a locking draw and wardrobe for valuables. Comfortable and clean fresh bed, cleaning and linen change after 3 days. Generous breakfast and lovely lovely host.

Family run business. The host was lovely and very accommodating. Helped me with getting a driver to and from clinic for PCR test as well as to Colombo. Breakfast every morning was lovely and well thought of. Quiet location which was perfect.

Extremely nice family, they made passion fruit for me and helped with an extra table for my stuff. Great location, close to the beach and centre, very calm and soundproof. Laundry service oustanding. They even topped up the wifi upon request

Everything. Location is perfect in Mirissa, walking distance to beach, harbour and shops. There is quiet in the area. The family is so kind and helpful. Room clean and nice sice. We could borrow some space in there fridge.

Excellent value for money in Mirissa!!!

Very clean and comfortable and Tanuja and Rohini were awesome hosts, always around to help with anything and smiling throughout. The room was very clean and comfortable, AC worked like a dream and clean bathroom with a good shower. It's a five minutes walk to the beach which has a lot of restaurants. Breakfast was very economical and plentiful. Parking available as well though the lane is slightly narrow. All in all a great deal for the price.

cost and complete hotel 2 min away from the beach

kind staff and great breakfast! the room was very cosy and beautiful garden. the shower was remarkable because of the good water pressure :). mosquito nets are also a plus in mirissa. location was great - 2 min away by foot from the beach
