Totally disappointing and improper during wintertime

Very clean. Maybe a nice place to stay in summertime

The check in was very complicated. The SMS I received was not accurate and when I called the telephone number provided, the person who answered was not at all helpful and very unfriendly. I was extremely lucky that I met other guests on their way out, who helped me come into the property and get my room key. The second night, the room was cold and I was freezing with the thin duvet provided. I was lucky again because I could borrow two thick duvets from another room that was not locked and could survive the night.

avoid the place

the location was the only thing I likex

first of all there were no sheets nor towels in the room. we arrived late and there was no ine in the reception, no phone to call. I sent sms and asked for sheets and towels but they never came. the shower was fixed with a macgaiver tape and the kitchen equipment was very poor. no covers to fit the pan!!!

I would like to come again

Really really good location, clean, spacious, seemed empty except for us, practical with the keys in the box when we came, nice big table in the room, very comfortable pillows and blankets.

The cord was too short on one of the bedside lamps, so it was impossible to use. There was no fitting lid on the pot we used for boiling water for tea and no electric kettle either - I can't say I _disliked_ that, but it would have been useful. The beds were a bit hard.

The nice terrasse

In the bathroom/shower was NO place to hang a towel or cloths, not even a single hook. That was not very pleasant. Surely, Trosa vandrarhem meets the need of a bed, a kitchen and a bathroom. But above this, there is nothing special or even beautiful as it can be found in other comparible accomodations.

Overpriced for a self sevice concept

The facilities at the hostel are ok but basic, it is clean, and the kitchen is reasonably well equiped. Toilet and shower facilities are acceptable, but not great. There is no staff and all is self service. One needs to leave the room as one accepts it. One even needs to vacuumclean the room upon check out. All fine, self service is a great concept, but not for 80 euros per night. Staff is unresponsive to questions by chat. Compared to other hostels in Sweden, this one in Trosa is overpriced.

Good

One of our grandchildren left their airpods in the room and didn't discover they were missing for several days. We called the Vandrarhem and they had them. We were able to pick them up and return them to our grandson. Many thanks for your help!

Too pricey and no wifi(!).

The hostel was centrally located in Trosa and the rooms were clean. The hostel building is cute and has a backyard. There is also an refrigerator you can use.

The thing here is the price. 800 kr a night for a room that you have to clean yourself and bring your own sheets to is just too much. There isn't any reception either so we couldn't ask for where the vacuum cleaner that we needed to use was. What bugged me the most is probably that there was no wifi. Sure, I should have been more thorough reading the facility description, but it's 2021... cant you expect wifi in any hostel on any continent?

Fair place, too low communication

Nice location

Very poor communication. I called many times (5 times maybe) the day of my arrival they never acknowledged my calls :(. The 2 last nights I was staying all by myself in that huge facilities with no reception, nothing : it was a bit creepy. I would have appreciated that they let me know this but well...At least, they did answered one evening my call when the internet stopped shortly.
