An amazing and a beautiful place with a great heart

An amazing place with a great heart. lots of beautiful arts and crafts, the swimming pool was perfect, the room was very convenient and well designed, and last but definitely not least - the team!! They organised a birthday breakfast celebration for us and helped us in any possible way. Thanks a lot! We are very grateful!

One of a kind property

The property is exquisite, calm and well maintained. The owner had done a marvellous job in creating such a place. The level of Detailing he has given to every inch of this place is mind blowing. The food was amazing, fell in love with the coconut sambal these guys made. Last but not the least the staffs maintaining this place are very responsive, friendly , well mannered and the best. Loved the stay , will visit again.

A charming & welcoming place with delicious cuisine & a lovely courtyard. Centrally located

Our stay at 55TG Boutique Suites exceeded our expectations in many ways. The hotel exuded a wonderful charm and provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout our visit. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The highlight of our experience was undoubtedly the delicious food served at the hotel. The meals were a true delight, offering a variety of flavors and culinary delights that left us thoroughly satisfied. Additionally, the courtyard provided a serene and inviting space where we could enjoy a glass of wine, engage in good conversation, and even make new friends with fellow travelers. The breakfast served was splendid, starting our days off on a high note.

While our overall stay at 55TG Boutique Suites was delightful, there were a couple of minor inconveniences. The saltwater pool, although lovely, was a bit chilly during our stay due to the time of year, making it less inviting for extended swimming sessions. In terms of the room, although we stayed in the comfortable Angel room, one downside was the bathroom being only separated by a curtain. This setup could be a bit awkward, and we found ourselves accidentally hitting the wall behind the curtain in the middle of the night, which was a minor inconvenience. Furthermore, as the hotel is situated above a neighborhood in the city, we were occasionally awakened by the sounds of people going about their daily lives. While it didn't bother us much, it may be a bit disruptive for light sleepers or those seeking absolute tranquility.

great place to relax

the facilities were beautiful and the staff were all so sweet and helpful. everyone was so happy and willing to help with any request. the owner is very honest and welcoming. this was the perfect place to relax after a flight and a gentle intro to Sri Lanka. the location is quiet, but a short walk away from a major street where you can find everything.

A home away from home! Brilliant stay!

The warmth and love with which we were looked after was beyond my imagination. Ranjith was in touch with us from the beginning and extended his support for a smooth arrival. Thanuj who owns the place is inspired by the great Geoffrey Bawa and you can tell by looking at how beautifully he has done up the place. Thanuj took great care of us and made us home at his home. A big shout out to the superb staff - they cooked every meal with love. We will definitely be back.

Great place for photography, for staying not so much

Nice location in Colombo, comfortable bathroom and bed. Good breakfast.

It seems like 55TG has an identity crisis. It's either a hotel or (the primary) location for wedding photography. Each day we got out of bed we were surrounded by 2 to 3 newlyweds with their photographers and assistants. In itself this is pretty cool, but I booked an expensive place for rest and quietness. Each time we went for breakfast or the pool, there were photographers taking pictures. And if you're trying to stay out of their shot you can't enjoy a nice and chill breakfast or swim.

This was the most unique accomodation we stayed at on the whole trip. I've read in some other reviews this was a hidden gem, and a gem it is! We got a room upgrade just because, the breakfast was amazing, the pool and sauna area really nice and the staff super attentive! Great relaxing time in Colombo before taking our flight back home. Wish we could have stayed longer! :)

Fantastically decorated and extremely helpful staff

It was absolutely fantastic. The staff was extremely helpful and super friendly. The room was decorated with such great taste and detail. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The location was even so pretty that multiple wedding photoshoots were held while we stayed. So the extra bonus was that we saw some beautiful couples and amazing sarees.

The shower was not really warm. Not many tuktuk drivers knew the location so google maps/uber is useful.

Really special place not for everyone

So nice and cute boutique hotel with fantastic decor, good atmosphere and friendly people. The room was big, but so cozy. And small details given more homeless. Its really special place in the good area of Colombo.

In the morning with one photosession was little noise, but fantastic breakfast done this morning nice ;)

I had an excellent stay, all my expectations were met. I would definitely go there again to stay at

I really liked the calm and peaceful atmosphere, the artistic interior and the hospitality of the staff and the owner himself. My room was very comfortable, spacious and had all the amenities plus a big pile of books to read. The garden had a nice view of Colombo/Rajagiriya area. The pool and the steam room were the cherries on top.

I had few late night meetings so the internet suddenly got spotty but it got better soon. I assume it’s a common challenge anywhere in the country these days due to increased amount of internet usage.
