Lugar tranqui y relajado, con todo lo necesario para escaparse de la ciudad y pasar un buen fin de semana.

The room was very comfortable, and the bathroom and pool facilities were great.
The breakfast was very good and included in my booking.
The staff were very helpful, both on reception and at the surf counter, they answered any questions that I had about the hostel and the local area. Reception helped me to plan evening activities and book taxis when needed.
It was a great environment to meet other solo travelers.
There could have been more seats around the pool given the number of people at the hostel.
I had to move rooms during my 10 day stay because of how the booking.com booking system links with the Selina booking system. This wasn't the hostels fault but it was frustrating as I had to move my suitcase down and up the stairs to only move a few doors down half way through my stay.
1.5 / 5.0
I was a frequent guest of many Selina locations before, but unfortunately this one was horrible. My “room” (#411) was a cupboard. Not a room. A cupboard. I was charged insane amount of money for this one-person cupboard. I am very disappointed and will likely choose a different provider in the future as I’d like to avoid these kind of surprises in the future when going on vacation.

Often there is no water!

beds super comfortable. I liked the privacy with the curtains with the dorm room. It felt secure. And the bar staff were great and really friendly and helpful
Welcome when I arrived wasn’t great. And it isn’t great for meeting people, but maybe that’s because I’m older and it is a very young hostel, with most people surfing, which I wasn’t.

Nothing to be honest. I have been to other Selinas before and I normally like the vibe, but I believe the one in Santa Teresa North needs a revamp at 360 degrees
In a nutshell: stay away from this hostel. book something else. I was changed room 3 times in 2 days. At first, they had booked 11 people in a 9-bed room, then they kept messing up with the reservation. in the last room I found my bed covered with ants and had to call myself the cleaning lady to have it fixed. they hadn’t realised it on their own. I eventually ended up checking out earlier and moved to another hotel nearby. when I checked out earlier no one really asked the reason why and tried to at least apologise for the many inconveniences caused. I also purchased a “surf photography package” on their app, which apparently is a service they don’t provide. still waiting to be refunded and for sure I will need to chase them multiple times to get my money back.

this is the perfect spot for young people to hangout and have fun. A luxury vibe and easy going environment. everything is outside but the beds so cool! clean and up to date but jungle themed. Also best location in the town right next to eat street and beach
well the bed was a bit inverted so I could only go in the middle but that’s pretty much it. also the locks on the rooms can act up too.

Very nice hostel! I’ve been to a few in the area and only Lost Boyz was better.
The beds are so uncomfortable. Way too soft, everyone in my room was complaining. You sink in them and your back hurts. Other than that zero cons 😊

bed was super comfortabel and room was so nice with a private balcony with hammock. the pool was great. location was nice next to the beach and across the street you had Eat street a hotspot for great food and in front of it a nice store called Tallulah.
Their was not really a bar area to hangout and meet other people they have a restaurant but it is a bit seperate would have been great to have a bar close to the pool

The location is great, you can rent surfboards and use the pathway behind the hostel to go directly to the beach. I booked 3 surflessons and my teachers (Carlos & Juan) we’re so friendly and professional! I booked a 6 bedroom mixed dorm, since I’m only a girl traveling alone and I entered a dorm with only men, I asked the receptionist if I could switch, as I didn’t feel so comfortable in the room, to another room and she was really nice and gave me another room (I was so happy!). Ana (the receptionist) also gave me tons of tips on what to do in Santa Teresa and she also helped me with how to get to my next destination. I would really recommend this place and if you stay at this place, definitely ask Ana for tips during your stay!
nothing all good

Nice breakfast, rooms are clean and comfy, hot shower and nice pool area.
The staff at the reception was very unfriendly, when checking in or asking questions you felt like you annoyed them. Also they didn‘t provide much information and I had to ask other guests for the location of the bathroom and so on. Other guests in my room felt the same. Also, I booked a small dorm and was put in the biggest room (12ppl) for the same price - they didn‘t/apparently could not change it.

I started at rating 1 for the horrible experience and added 1 point for each of these pluses:
- hot water and toiletries
- nice staff
- someone in the co-living office found me sleeping outside their room in the morning and gave me free coffee. Thanks!
This was my worst hostel experience in the last 3 years, and as a professional nomad, I’ve been to over 70 hostels in this time
- top bunk beds were uncomfortable to get into
- this is a hostel for unsupervised old spoiled teenagers, no one supervises what’s happening after 9 PM and silence starts only at midnight - and people make the most of the slamming doors and shouting
- no signal for phones, Wi-Fi disconnected more than it stayed connected
-missing bedding, receiving the wrong item after signaling it
- one creep in our room kept making comments about the girls and their looks each time they came in or left, some laughed uncomfortably, some ignored him. He was making dubious sounds behind the drapes (I won’t speculate to what it was, but imagine), in addition to the burping and farting as response to requests to have his late phone calls privately or to lowering the AC intensity, which he kept changing to 17 degrees, although he was asked him nicely and then insistently to not do it anymore (17 C was very cold for me as well, especially in the top bunk bed, where it hit the most). I couldn’t sleep with my hair wet and summer clothes at that temperature and after failing to find the night guard who was supposed to help us in case it’s needed when the reception is closed, I had to leave the room and find a couch to sleep on in the outside common area. This doesn’t only reflect on the roommate, as I did bring this up with the personal at the reception, but they said they don’t have any rules for this, needs to be discussed with the roommate and to steal and hide the remote if he doesn’t understand reason. Sorry, that’s ridiculous, same as the high ratings for this hostel imo. I managed to catch a cold during the hours spent there, which I can’t say I’m surprised about.
