A little hidden gem

What a beautiful property! There is something extremely magical about walking down the steps and seeing the sea then the view from the balcony is something very special. I had read beforehand that parking wasn’t included so was aware that this would need to be paid but just be aware of this. The host was brilliant and he made sure we were settled in perfectly. There are a few restaurants in east walking distance (we did it with two small children) and you can walk in to the town as well, we chose to drive as it was too hot for the children to walk.

One thing just to be aware of is that it sits above a very lovely hotel and on our first night there was a birthday party that went on until 2am. This may not be normal but just worth noting.

Superb

The house was perfect for our group of 5. The location was great - out of the hustle and bustle of town, but near enough for a nice walk around the coast to go to town for dinner and Cefalu beach. Hosts gave great recommendations throughout our stay. Sitting out on the balcony and watching the sunset was superb.

Great view :)

The view was stunning and I didn’t see anyone talk about the actual location but it’s located right next to the Le Calette beach club which was fantastic. The host was the kindest man who arranged everything for us and went out of his way to make us reservations at the beach club and give us recommendations for dining and helped us with our luggage. The air conditioning was great as well.

I wish I would have known beforehand that you cannot flush toilet paper down the toilet.

We were disappointed with our stay. The property offered beautiful views but was not comfortable

The location was nice. Beautiful view. No parking for quite a ways from the home which was an issue.

No available parking at home. Heat didn’t work. Very cold. Requested more blankets. No wifi that worked. We weren’t able to reach host at the home. The beds were very springy. The host had very good communication and check in was easeful.

The location on the water was exceptional! It was so peaceful in December as we had the area all to ourselves.

Not relaxing at all

close to the water

the street were too small to use our car while we were there so we had to pay for taxis everywhere we went. we were not told in advance that we needed a small car to stay there. we also had to find places to park the car while we were there. The owner did not give us any instructions about the ac or hot water heater beforehand. The stairs accessing the apartment were hazardous, especially when wet and one of our party slipped and hurt her foot on the stairs because they are slippery and the motion light did not come on. we decided to leave after that.

the view is absolutely stunning. the balcony is in the shade which was perfect for us. the apartment is essentially surrounded by an elegant 5 star resort so the location is beautiful. both apartments can walk down the stairs and reach the water. you can launch yourself into the water if you are somewhat athletic. or walk along the narrow street, down the stairs and along via presidiana to get to town (do not walk on highway). the little beach along the way is sandy and lovely and much quieter than Cefalu beach. we had plenty of hot water for 4 of us and the 2 bedroom apartment was lots of room for 4. it was very very quiet. we slept with the windows open to hear the waves. other reviews talk about loud music. I find that very hard to believe - maybe a wedding at the resort? maybe saturdays? but the nearby resort was full of rich older people. the host is lovely.

Everything you could ask for in Cefalú accommodation

Incredible view, responsive host who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Comfortable beds and air conditioning. We could swim in a beautiful bay at the base of the property.

The only problem was that it is a 15 to 20 minute walk into the old town for groceries and sightseeing, although any water activities usually start at the nearby port. In the cooler months it would be ok, but it was very hot, and sometimes it was difficult to get a cab. This would not stop us from returning here!

we were t informed that location had 58 steps to climb and no parking without 3/4 mile of property.. no flushing toilet paper had to dispose in tiny trash in bathroom… very unsanitary.

We loved the location as you can walk into Cefalu in about 15 minutes and not have to worry about parking. The view from the balcony was stunning and it is a peaceful place to stay and explore the surrounding areas from.

Comfortable but know your location

Breakfast not included. It would have been handy to have some coffee on hand as a walk to the shop is a steep walk.

Minor details. The hair dryer didn't work.

I couldn't recommend this accomodation more. It is truly great quality and great value for money.

The location was perfect, just a 15 minute coastal walk away from the town centre. The terrace overlooks the blue water and is so so beautiful. We sat out for hours just relaxing, just what we needed. Additionally, our host was amazing! He picked us up from the train station when we arrived, and took us by a nice grocery store in the town on the way to the property. He also offered us a ride back to the station on our last day which was greatly appreciated! Our host also helped us inquire about bicycles, helped us with booking a taxi, and even assisted us with ordering dinner to the property given the language barriers. He was very responsive via whatsapp, and overall a very giving and kind gentleman. Another thing we liked about the property was that it was well equipped with kitchen needs (plates, cups, pans, toaster + olive oil, salt, coffee, balsamic vinegar/glaze). We were provided with bottled water free of charge as well. I couldn't recommend this accomodation more. It is truly great quality and great value for money. Everything exceeded our expectations and we had an overall wonderful stay at this property. If we find ourselves in Cefalu again we will definitely be returning!

The place to stay in Cefalu

I loved the location! The view from the bedroom, kitchen and terrace are purely amazing ! Then there are some cliffs like 3 min walk from the house where you can go and chill, swim and that place again is super beautiful! Very peaceful, very small and very private. The host was very nice as well and explained lots of nice things about the area. If you go in the city where all the restaurants are, is like 15-20 min walk.

Idyllic house with sea view

The location is 15minutes walking from the centre of Cefalu and with its view on the bay and sea, combined with the perfectly matching interior gives it an idyllic characteristic. The owners of the house were very friendly and helpful and shared some tips.
