Great weekend away retreat.

Really cute cottage. Nicer than in the photos. Hosts were super generous with the food and treats that they left. The place also has everything you could want; all toiletries including sun screen, lots of games etc. lots of privacy too although it’s close to the host’s main house. Location is a short walk to the town.

The owners were very accommodating and made for a lovely stay.

The owner was able to exceed my expectations when I asked if they could cater to me dietary requirements for the breakfast that was provided. There was so much food, that my partner only ate out for 1 meal over the 2 day stay. Very generous and thoughtful.

I was a little disappointed that the pool was connected to the main house (not the actual chalet). I would have liked to use it, but felt a little awkward using the family's pool, even though the owner was lovely and told us that we were okay to use it.

Everything we had hoped for and more.

The perfect place for a couple or small family getaway, with lovely little surprises the whole way through. We immensely enjoyed out time at possum lodge the only issue being we didnt book long enough!

Highly recommend staying at Possum Lodge we would like to return asap.

Beautiful location very peaceful, the cottage was very clean and cosy. We loved the amazing food provided and the fire place.

The perfect way for us to celebrate our first year wedding anniversary.

We were actually extremely surprised at how good our experience was considering that we booked at the last minute. The property was beautiful and the lodge we stayed in is something we have always wanted to experience. What really made our stay special for us were all the little added extras such as food, activities ( colouring books, games, movies, books, table tennis). You can really tell that the owners put alot of thought into their business and my wife and I really appreciate and are grateful that we were able to spend our 1 year anniversary there. We would love to come back again one day in the future.

Possum Lodge provided a relaxing stay with plenty to keep us entertained and content.

The lodge staff were very kind, good communicators and accomodating. The venue was very well stocked with breakfast, tea/coffee (plus coffee machine), snacks as well as board games, sports equipment, DVDs and books at no extra charge.

Exceptional in every way

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Possum Lodge. It was everything we expected plus more. We were blown away by the generosity of the hosts and have never in all our travels around the world seem so much attention to detail. We would definitely recommend to others and hope to come back again.

Loved Possum Lodge. There was so much food for us that we couldn’t eat it all. I loved that we could drive into the garage and enter the lodge from there as it rained most of the time we were there. Very clean and very comfortable.

Exceptional setting for a relaxing getaway.

Charming setting for a cosy retreat. We enjoyed - fireplace, tennis courts, bbq and table tennis. The fridge was stocked with an abundance of food.

Great location, amazing breakfast options and treats!

Perfect location and the items provided for breakfast etc definitely exceeded our expectations. They went out of their way to provide a gluten free option for my friend.

A little dark and the wi-fi didn't work - but we didn't need the wi-fi, there was so much to do.

Absolutely wonderful few days away, very romantic and relaxing.

The place was awesome, fridge and food was well stocked with so many choices, fresh fruit, cheeses, meats / cold cuts, eggs with everything except main dinner meal items. Wood fireplace and very rustic charm, My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

The only thing I could say here is the bed was a little soft for my preference as I prefer a firm bed, but that is not a criticism of the place.

We had a wonderful relaxing time, our hosts were amazing and we will definintely be back!

The provisions left by our hosts were so unexpected and thoughtful! So much food, we only needed to get dinners during our stay! The property was very clean and super cosy especially with the wood burning fire.

Whilst we loved everything, we felt the bed was not quite comfortable for us, but it was very warm and the pillows were great. We also thought it might be a nicer touch to have one of the sofas (from upstairs) in front of the fire (instead of 2 single arm chairs), but that wouldn't deter us from returning at all.

Great supply of breakfast foods and goodies. Loved having a fire box to keep the chill at bay. Very comfy and warm bed. Well thought out inclusions (eg tissues, little blankets for living areas, water purifier in kitchen)

Perfection itself, cozy and romantic

Food was exceptional, extremely generous. Lots of goodies that made our stay very special. Beautiful surroundings, felt like we were in a cloud. Perfect accommodation to read a book while looking out onto a beautiful view.

Private, romantic, plenty of food. The cottage had so much warmth and character, pure bliss!

The food available was excellent....so much with variety. The cheese platter was great along with the free bottle of wine, good choice...fruit was plentiful along with cakes and biscuits....value for money. The table tennis was a plus and fun...would stay there again.

There was nothing not to like....complete privacy, would be more romantic in the winter with the fire place going, couldn't fault the venue. Able to walk around the premises, just so private...if you didn't like it then you have a problem!!
