Ended up very well.

Nice breakfast, had to change room due to broken water pipe but new room much bigger and had an enclosed shower.

First room had a shower curtain with waterflowing around bathroom floor. Not ideal.

Overall, the is place is a good place to stay for one or two nights.

It was okay close to all the shops and restaurants.

It needs a bit of a refresher but it was clean.

While the location is out of the control of the hotel, the noise level of the traffic was extremly high. I would recommend having disposable complementary ear plugs available in each room or at reception, as not every one travels with them. In addition, for breakfast, while the continental breakfast selection was ok, remember there are more and more plant based travellers, so having an alternate to butter and a plant based cooked option- hash browns, baked or grileled tomatoes or tofu scramble would be great.

We had a super stay in a friendly family run spot.

Brilliant staff, great breakfast of scrambled egg and bacon with delicious coffee. A very B&B feel .

Parking is a bit tight , but we managed fine.

Really nice place to stay in Wanaka

Excellent location with good parking. Very good breakfast. Nice room, very clean, comfortable bed. Okay bathroom, nice towels, good shower. Room was cozy and warm. Attached little porch/balcony but it was a little too chilly to use the area. There are common areas shared by guests that are quite pleasant, quiet and clean including a hot tub.

The walls are a little thin as we could hear the hotel guests above us.

Breakfast home made, very good. Rooms very small, bathrooms very basic. Quiat ea few stairs between rooms and no lifts so not great for big bags.

Superb

The facilities here are very intriguing. There is a wonderful dining room which sports a chef in the morning who gives you choices of what can be made, and there are pastries and extras. There is also a library and group room which can be used for group gathering and viewing, and there is an outdoor hotter and garden. it was an adventure to explore.

The location is tricky to find, and there might possibly be difficulty parking.

perfect location for the town yet peaceful with a friendly vibe

the position of te Wanaka is fantastic, just a very short walk into the beautiful town and lake. the staff are fantastic, delightful owners, Mandy and Wayne who are a font of knowledge and humour. Cole in the morning for breakfast, always smiling and enthusiastic, such a nice start to the day seeing smiling faces all around.

Pleasant stay overall

Clean, tidy and good location - only 5 minute walk to central areas.

No cooking or kitchen facilities available for guests. No Air Con in rooms and parking wasn’t great.

Excellent location

Cute and comfortable, the lodge was in an excellent location. It was lovely having the opportunity to meet other travellers at breakfast and use the hot tub as well!

We didn’t enjoy our stay,highly inconvenient property that lacks amenities.

No fridge,no aircon,no flyscreens,no coffee/tea in the room.It was $10 to do a load of washing. Both rooms affected by noise all night.Facilities not as pictured,very run down and dirty.

rooms older and tired. initially we thought the room would be too hot but we managed to open windows without mosquitoes coming in . Bathroom shower has no structured base so an issue with water on the tiled floor .

Room is super clean and super comfy, the bed, linen and shower were great.

Staff didn’t seem welcoming at all, didn’t feel like they wanted to host us and one of the staff opened the door in my room without knocking at 9:30am, I was in bed and put my head up scared someone was coming in and she looked at me and just closed the door, didn’t apologise or anything.

The garden cottage was delightful in a lovely courtyard setting . Very comfortable and felt spacious. The hosts were very friendly and our breakfasts were delicious. Highly recommended place to stay.

Cannot think of anything we didn't like.

The breakfast is lovely, the room was clean and comfortable, we didn’t use the hot tub but that area look was clean to, the lounge’s were comfortable. staff very friendly.
