Beautiful location but a bit outdated, comfortable but too pricy for what you are getting
Menu and quality of food very disappointing, high costs of airport transfer

Only stayed a night as it was our last night before leaving for home but the atmosphere was so beautiful, welcoming, and relaxed. It was really one of our best nights in Tikehau. Water access from the bungalow was just lovely (might be on the shallow side for snorkeling, but we still did!) and the drinks were absolutely excellent. We had dinner here and breakfast as well and loved the options. Food was wonderful both dinner and breakfast. I especially like the reusable water bottles--I typically carry my own but it saved us on our trip back! I liked the easy availability of snorkeling/kayak equipment too. Since we were there for only a short time we did not partake on excursions but it seemed info was readily available.
It was very peaceful and pleasant. My friend who only speaks English had an easy time ordering and getting around. I really appreciated the printed times for check out, departure, etc.
The door seemed to sometimes not completely latch--we returned from dinner to an open bungalow, whoops. Either I didn't pull the door hard enough or it didn't latch when the checkout/departure info was dropped off, but all was well. I couldn't get the ceiling fan to go faster, but I also fully realize I didn't ask for assistance. It would be nice to have Wi-Fi in room, but it was easy enough the check up on things over at the bar or a quick wait at dinner.

I loved the remote location of the resort. The staff was extremely friendly and it was very quiet and relaxing. The rooms are a bit outdated, but that is going to be fixed during the remodel over the next couple of years.
I didn't like that the "included transportation" to the resort was charged and not disclosed. If that was included in the "fees/taxes" when booking the room and not a suprise on the final bill, I would have been happier.

the food lacked flavor. It was unsalted and unseasoned.

Secluded location, hotel staff takes care of all transportation and activities, excellent on-site restaurant.
The breakfast buffet was subpar compared to similar experiences and priced oddly high compared to the reasonable prices of other gourmet meals the hotel chef prepared.

The location of this resort is just magical. The island is so beautiful and pristine. We've dived all around the world, and Tikehau was undoubtedly a highlight. We booked a suite overwater bungalow, and it was very spacious, clean, and cozy. Lots of baby sharks, stingrays and tropical fish swimming around the property all day long - so beautiful! The food at lunch and dinner, yet pricey, was good and fulfilling. The staff is very kind and friendly, especially the waitresses at the restaurant.
The hotel is quite outdated. Compared to Le Bora Bora, the other Pearl resort we were coming from, it was quite a shock to see the difference. Many parts of the hotel are poorly maintained. They are planning a 2-year full renovation which we thought was greatly needed. The breakfast buffet was not what you would expect at that price point. Overall, it feels like a 3-star hotel - at least for now, but can't wait to return when they're done with remodelling!

The staff were very friendly and very helpfully with booking snorkel trips. Great location for a relaxing break, with great views and snorkeling with a wide variety of species. We had a overwater bungalow without sea access, which wasn't a bad thing as there were more fish and coral to view directly from the balcony.

Beautiful resort, affordable and fun.
Food.choices was not good food was bland. Need more choices like grilled or bbq. More seafood lobster crab shrimp or fish needs to be grilled. Also sometimes people like something fast like pizza or burger.

They have a super friendly staff, always ready to help. OWB was decent, clean, spacious, comfy bed. Nice welcome when we arrived. Breakfast was delicious with many choices. Dinner also very good.
All the place it's looking outdated, like no one invested in this resort for many years. It's kind look like abandoned place almost.
The price was overpriced.

Overwater suites were huge and gave instant access to nice swimming and snorkeling. Bed was really comfortable. Between the bed and soothing ocean sounds I think we were sleeping 12 hours a day. The smaller/cheaper overwater bungalows looked like they were in shallower water and too close to boat dock. But the OW suites were in deeper water and really private. If you can afford it the suites are really worth it mainly because of the location. ( and totally luxurious) The fish viewing window in the floor of the bungalow was actually cooler than expected. The private swim deck was well used. There's just a few bommies for snorkelling but quite a few fish. Some small black tip sharks. A few rays and i saw a leopard ray shoot past one afternoon. At night you have under deck spotlights which bring fish and small sharks around. Local dive companies will come pick you up at the hotel dock though there are literally only 2 dives. Right and left side of passage. But huge schools of fish. One night we had a monster storm. 50+ knot winds. I liked that the Bungalow did not blow away and felt very safe despite fairly big waves rolling under us and it made for some interesting video.
Lunch and dinner are all ala carte. They have specials each night and sometimes these can be good. The tuna was omnipresent and not great. A lot of tuna stuff. Bleh.
Without exception the staff was really helpful and friendly and did whatever was needed to be sure your stay was good. Over all a great spot. We stayed 6 nites and could have stayed longer.
We had a couple bad meals. The things the chef knew how to cook were good. When he tried to get fancy he failed miserably. He made some puree soups which were nice. A local fish which was great. Way too much tuna on the menu which wasnt very good. A coconut curry made with local seafood made us both sickish. one of my cocktails was kind of nasty. I'd had the same one a couple days earlier and it was good. We never saw a papaya or banana which we were expecting. We bought a kind of expensive bottle of wine with dinner one night and it wasnt very good. Tip. Bring some acohol and enjoy a drink or sip in your room. The resort also gives free rides to the village and you can grab a bottle of wine and some snacks for your room at the little store 5 min walk from dock.

The coral reef reef under the Bungalows are amazing with lots of fish and black tip shark. Snorkeling here was fantastic! Enjoyed the free kayaks also. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast buffet excellent.

The staff is very attentive and very kind. The breakfast was super good, there are several intercontinental choices. Lunch and dinner didn't have a lot of choices, it was average. you have to take the boat to go to the village for more choices. The bungalows, clean, quiet and beautiful view of the lagoon. I highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed for 10 days at the Tikehau Pearl Beach Resort. At the end of my stay I felt I would not want to leave the place. Besides the location, beach, facilities, I would definitely single out the staff of the resort. They were incredibly kind and helpful, going the extra mile to make sure that the guests were fully satisfied. From the people working in the restaurant, to the people in the reception and finally the managers, they just made sure that you feel like home.
I stayed in a beach bungalow, which I would recommend to people visiting during the hot season. Since the room has air conditioning this was very helpful. Just as a heads up, not all bungalows have air conditioning (just the beach ones and the premium overwater suites I think), so pay attention when booking as this is clearly indicated when booking. The room is very clean and has all amenities necessary for a comfortable stay. Absolutely loved the deck facing the beach and admiring the sunset from the terrace.
The beach is absolutely magnificent and resembles a postcard. This is truly one of the nicest beaches I have seen in Polynesia.
The free shuttle to the main village is very helpful.
The only thing I would improve is the choices in menu of the restaurant. While the food is delicious and the Chef is very skilful, I would diversify a bit the menu. However, the chef was very open to cooking dishes which were not on the menu - this helped a lot. On the other hand, further diversifying the menu might very difficult due to how remote the island is. Nevertheless, the food was delicious and you would not go wrong when choosing any dish.
I wholeheartedly recommend the resort!
Nothing to fault this resort.

The staff were very polite and accommodating. The location is beautiful.
The menu could be expanded to increase options. The bungalows require some renovation.

Excellent location. Private and beautiful scenery. Crystal clear water with a lot of fish around the coral and even black tip reef sharks. The resort has a great pool. The staff was amazing. The bungalows are wonderful. We enjoyed our walks around the pink sand beach and sandbank. Everything was magical. The complimentary activities are great (kayaking, snorkeling). It was incredible.
