Perfect location at foot of Acropolis and greatly laid and quiet enough room

Very responsive and sympathetic hosts Marios and Nikos, both really keen to facilitate early check-in after a long flight, great hospitality shown was much appreciated indeed. Amazing locally made ice-cream served by Nikos at the groundfloor Peter's coffee shop.

Molto piacevole

Struttura comoda, in pieno centro, in una delle strade principali di Plaka a due passi da tutte le attrazioni turistiche archeologiche del centro. Bagno molto grande e letto comodo. Mario’s è stato premuroso e gentile, come i ragazzi del bar sotto l’alloggio.

La posizione della tv è bassa e si rischia di urtarla continuamente nel passaggio davanti al letto. Purtroppo la porta principale della bella facciata dell’edificio (oltretutto logo della struttura) è stata un po’ rovinata dalla presenza di un ATM che riduce la dimensione dell’ingresso e rende scomodo il passaggio anche senza valigie.

Excellent Hotel in the heart of Athens

Location was excellent, about 5 mins walk to the SOUTH entrance of the Acropolis Hill and Acropolis Museum. South entrance of the Acropolis hill was not busy compared to the North which is the main one. Personally I recommend entering south entrance then exiting the north and be there early 8:00am. You can leave your luggage at Pete's Ice Cream if needed. Marios was very helpful and responsive in my inquiry. Cleaning lady was very helpful as well. The street in front of the hotel has plenty of shops, from food to souvenirs. The street will also lead you to the Roman Agora, Ancient Agora and Monasteraki about 10mins walk but you wont feel it as the street is full of shops and you'll be surprised you've arrive to your destination. Temple of Zues is just around the corner as well as the RED Sightseeing BUS. Closest Station is AKROPOLI (beware of pickpockets, they usually create a distraction like jamming the train door while their accomplice pick your pocket, they use a chest bag to disguise their arms while stealing). From the airport you can get a train to SYNTAGMA then change to for the Red Line towards Elliniko and get off at AKROPOLI, very easy. If you have luggage it wont be a problem as there are escalators from the stations. Although there was a little section of street cobble stones which was not really a problem. To find the Hotel I think it is easier to look for PETE's ICE CREAM as the door of the hotel is small and is beside an ATM.

Everything was just top quality: service, facility, lovation, cleaning. Nothing more to expect. And the host of the place was extremely helpfull and friendly. Thank you for this very pleasant experience! 🙏

It can get a bit laud on the street for sleeping, so you have to make sure to get sime airplugs. Nothing more to add.

A great flat in great location

Lovely flat in the middle of Plaka near everything. The staff were fabulous! Great bathroom, very clean and well- presented room similar to 5* hotel with wine/chocolates and even a hand written welcome.

Amazing property at the very centre of Plaka. Location is super convenient and most lovely with many restaurants around. Superb rooms with comfortable beds and great service. Marios is a super host and highly recommend Step One Suites. We will be staying here when we come back to Athens

Adorable view to the Akropolis and super cozy and nice accommodation!!! Will be back soon!!

We had such a nice welcome, to one of the cutest placed we have been. Location is situated near by all the attractions, Akropolis, shopping, metro etc. The view from the big terrace to the Akropolis is adorable. Even tough it’s located in one of the tourist spots, its super quiet and you don’t here anything when you close the door of the terrace. We slept like babies at the super comfortable bed!! Breakfast is served in a cute coffee / ice bar, on the ground at the hotel. Luggage by checking out, you can leave without any euro, for going around. Thanks so much to Marios and we will come back soon.

The property was in the perfect location for our walking tour of the acropolis, the staff were extremely hospitable, helpful & welcoming. The room was beautiful, there was a note and welcome drinks. The bathroom was spacious, clean & the shower was just right. Not hard to find with clear instructions. There is also a cafe attached. The staff were amazing!

Perfect Position luxurious boutique hotel

The property was in the centre of the Plarka. Restaurants, shopping & the Acropolis not far at all. Although the hotel is on a very busy street, you do not hear and noise from outside. The rooms are extremely comfortable, beautifully decorated, very comfortable beds, large hot showers & a welcome bottle of wine.

Great location, so close to EVERYTHING Acroplis related! Beautiful rooms, with high ceilings and windows overlooking the little streets of planka. The cafe on the main level is lovely - the apartment property is directly above this cafe. Jason who worked in the cafe made us the most delicious greek donuts to order. The apartment itself is beautiful- very clean and modern. Marios the host was so friendly and welcoming and helped us pick a nice place for dinner.

Beautiful apartment in the Plaka region of Athens. Marios is super helpful, responsive and friendly! Property is clean, tastefully decorated, and thoughtfully equipped with all that you need for a safe, enjoyable and comfortable stay. Great base to explore the Acropolis and Parthenon, and the fabulous sites of Athens (we used the Hop on Hop off bus). Lots of great eateries and ice cream shops, including one at the bottom of the building! Great sized apartment which we found far more comfortable than a hotel sized room. Juices are provided, which is a lovely touch. A nice sized kitchenette forms party of the property. Air con is always a great feature!

We loved our stay! We are a travelling party of three - the fold out single bed is very firm. Please do not make the same mistake we have made by overpacking your suitcase/bags! These gorgeous, old world, charming properties do have stairs and I promise you will regret having packed every single unnecessary item of clothing etc.! Tiles in shower are very slippery - do make use of the non slip mat that is provided!!

Perfect!

Easy to find, ideally located next to the Acropolis, super clean. Could have been noisy because the window is on a very busy street but the room is in fact very quiet. Very nice welcome by Marios. And it's possible to leave a luggage at the ice cream shop downstairs: super convenient!! Thank you!

it is really at the bottom of the Acropolis within walking distance to all the attractions car parking nearby metro station few minutes walk

the lighting was not enough especially where the coffee station is no full size mirror I had to stand on the night stand to see myself 😄

Loved our stay and will recommend to others!

Loved our stay!! Great location in the midst of shops / restaurants and short walk to the Acropolis. Very responsive hosts and they organised taxis for us at short notice.

Bit noisy at night! Had to use earplugs.
