Good location. Would stay again 👌🏼

Only a 5 min walk from the centre

Unfortunately there was no hot water on the evening or the morning before check out but we got a note saying we would be refunded the cost of the room so we couldn’t complain.

No sleep, no heating, no good… won’t be staying again and already booked a different hotel for next

The bedrooms have been refurbished since December last year and new window in room 4

Mattress in room 4 is diabolical, very hard, not comfortable at all.duvet was so thin we had to put bath towels and coats on top to thicken it up, heating was not working bedroom 2 was above boiler that kept starting up every hour, and making big noises all night Not much sleep by both sets of people Bar staff not attentive and very very slow

Lovely base for seeing the Lakes

Great location. Perfect to walk the dog in and out of Keswick town centre. Nearby park and trails meant the dog got exercised as we headed into town

Needed updating a bit, but that is an ongoing project which owners acknowledge

We have been visiting Keswick for many years and itr was great to stay in the Twa Dogs at last!!

Good meal in the pub in the evening. The room was clean and very comfy and ideal for an overnight stay en route to our next location.

There was no breakfast, although we know Keswick well and had no trouble finding somewhere to eat.

Good value for money, we had a really nice meal and staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. Great location for Keswick.

A great base for exploring Keswick and the surrounding area

Location was perfect for walking into Keswick. The bedroom was very spacious and had good facilities. The staff were lovely and friendly, and phoned a taxi for us on Saturday afternoon. The food was great on the Friday night.

The only thing I would suggest is having a shelf in the bathroom for a make up bag, but really doesn't detract from the excellent stay

Avoid !!!! don’t waste your money

Nothing at all staff rude and couldn’t care less!!! room very outdated and very basic although breakfast was advertised none available

Basic but comfortable and clean. Friendly, helpful staff.

Excellent location for the centre of Keswick. Very helpful and friendly staff. The evening meal was excellent.

This is a very basic hotel as the price suggests. The room was clean and comfortable if a little hot. Very limited kitchen facilities so we were not able to order breakfast. However Keswick is full of eateries so not really a problem.

Location is not bad.

I do not recommend accommodation above the pub. loud until late at night, outside the window the noise of the kitchen units. Bathroom with mold in the shower cubicle. the room is big, but no place to sit, only the bed remains. the small monitor on the wall called a TV is laughable.

Great relaxing friendly stay. Would definitely stay in Twa Dogs again

Me and my partner had a fab stay at Twa Dogs. All the staff were amazing and very helpful and friendly. The food was lush and was very good prices. We have already booked to go back another 2 times in the next few months. We are really looking forward to staying again. The manager chris was exceptionally helpful and made sure we were comfortable and OK with everything.. it is also in a great location not far from the town centre. Car parking avaliable and dogs allowed and cared about. Brilliant homely relaxing place to bel .. See you all again soon Linda Chris

Noisy pub below and very dated room and bathroom.

Live music below in the pub until 12am, shower was a trickle of warm water. Windows were single glazed so very noisy as a main road outside

Location

The room needs a good feather dust on the ceilings and around the windows, for the price the room was not modern enough a dado rail is not good as a head board. Tv over the kettle not a good idea, tv very small and no reception.

Locals pub about to be ruined by a greedy pubco.

Landlord was great.

Chef had quit. No food for evening meal. 15 minutes walk into town in the rain for anything. No breakfast, although paid for. No refund . Landlord leaving on Monday as pubco( Marston's) had just upped his rent & barrelage price.

Disappointing

Courteous staff explained that they had only had the business for 3 months and were aiming to refurbish. We therefore expected carpets etc to be tired. Nice fluffy white towels and clean bedding.

Room was tired, which is okay, but the dust, cobwebs and black mould was not! Add the fact that for all 3 nights no cleaning was done nor were coffee/milk replenished. Plumbing was very noisy and shower was warm not hot. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and sagged at the sides.

great little friends local pub! and very dog friendly. staff was great and very helpful with pointing us in the right direction of everything we needed and food was delicious.
