Welcome to PS Aloha where breathtaking mountain views are the setting for this magnificent Swiss Miss house newly remodeled with tropical flair. Originally designed by famed architect Charles DuBois in 1958, this chalet-style, one-story home, is defined by a dramatic A-frame roof with 16-foot tongue and groove wood ceilings anchored by the original bold stone fireplace. This Mid-Century Modern gem has been completely reimagined with an eye to living the ultimate Palm Springs lifestyle.
This private refuge has soaring ceilings, a gourmet kitchen, sumptuous retreats and a private backyard which feels like your own private resort. The attention to detail surrounds your senses as it embraces everything about mid-century architecture: tongue and groove ceilings, fireplaces and fire pits, teak wood details, breezeblock and brise soleil, outdoor boomerang bar with modern and updated comforts: meticulously designed baths, large saltwater pool with two tanning decks, outdoor natural stone ping-pong table, poolside sun and cabana-style lounging.
When you enter through the front door, a large living room greets you with 16-foot ceilings and an elegant gas fireplace where you can immediately pour yourself a Cuba Libre or blend your first Pina Colada at the tiki bar (complete with wine fridge and ice maker. The immense living room flows directly to the open dining area and open gourmet kitchen. The dining area is large enough for your entire group with seating for 12 at a custom-designed table. The kitchen is well-equipped form appliances to service ware for casual vacation life or formal holiday entertaining. A convenient powder room is just off the kitchen and dining area.
Continuing past the dining area, on the West wing of the house, are special guest retreats. These room all connect to each other. First is a second, more casual family room that offers a King-size Murphy bed and fireplace. Next is a cozy guest bathroom and bedroom featuring two twin beds. At the of end of the West wing is the magnificent main master suite drenched in natural light from the multiple skylight panels with retractable shades. The bedroom offers a King size bed, TV, bar fridge and sumptuous bath featuring dual vanities, dual shower heads, and tub. An outdoor shower is just outside this bathroom. All three rooms: master bathroom, bedroom and adjoining twin retreat all have glass sliders to gain you direct pool access.
On the East side the house, the other 3 rooms wait for hosting duties accessible through a common hallway. Two guest rooms, one featuring two twin beds and another with a queen bed and sitting area, share a guest bathroom. The second master suite offers a King bed, hanging chair, and a private bathroom offering dual vanities and a rainfall shower. This Master also has access to its own privation patio.
Outside hits all the marks: a newly remodeled 24 x 32 saltwater pool with two tanning shelves, an attached spa, plenty of poolside chaise lounges for sunning, and two retractable shades. Tucked into the back corners of the property are two firepits for twilight s’mores. Running the East side of the yard, under shade are entertaining areas designed to feature the stunning views of the San Jacinto mountains. Perfect place to have our small immediate family stay for our wedding weekend. The living space is amazing and allowed us all to gather, but the multitude of rooms allowed for everyone to have their private space as well. The cherry on top was being able to take my two pups who were a part of the wedding. It’s truly a beautiful home and a memory we will have forever. Would 1000% book again. The property manager, Robert was also so amazing and easy to get a hold of if needed. Loved everything about this experience and can’t wait to go back!

The home is an amazing vacation refuge within the best area in Palm Springs. Easy to walk or drive to the entire downtown locale. The lounge chairs/umbrellas outside were great and conducive to lounging at the pool all day. Property management was supremely responsive to any need or issue that arose. The only criticism was that certain items in the home are starting to look worn (I stayed at this home 3 years ago). Seating inside as well as rugs could be updated (signs of wear/stains etc).

We had 13 family members stay for 10 days to celebrate my husband’s retirement. The house equipped all our needs perfectly! The home was beautifully decorated and very well appointed serving all our needs. Our grandchildren commented after they returned home that they wanted to stay there together forever! The house was nicely decorated with a cool style. Great walking location to town. Lots of room for guests and outdoor living space. We felt the house could have been cleaned better upon arrival. Otherwise, we had a great experience. The rental company was incredibly accommodating. We had a great time and would definitely stay again.

We could all fit comfortably around the dining room table, lounge at the pool, all while at a house that is very walkable to downtown. Robert was a great property manager who was super responsive when we had questions or a minor hiccup with the house.

Beautiful Swiss Miss in great neighborhood. HOWEVER, we rarely had hot water. The hot tub drained on its own four times. We had a foul, skunk smell on the side of the house for several days. The shelves were dusty and we had to wipe down all shelves. We added chair pads to the DR as the chairs made a terrible noise when moved. The Sonos did not work.

We recently rented this amazing house for a girls’ trip. It was the absolute perfect place for the 9 of us! Everything was handled professionally from start to finish! The space was beautiful appointed and very clean! There was plenty of living spaces so we never felt crowded. The pool was gorgeous and so fun! The location was great, very close to restaurants and shopping. I think it was the best house I have ever rented! I cannot say enough good things about it! Will be back hopefully!

The house and amenities were phenomenal. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed in terms of pots and other necessities. The location was also great and check in was easy. The pool was cold and unusable for 3 days. The rental company had to keep resetting it and it didn't get really warm where you could swim in it until the third day. It's unfortunate as our main intent for the trip was to spend time in the pool and hot tub. I had to follow up to ask for some accommodations in the cost and had not-so-great interactions with Brad on their team. So far I've just been told some accommodation will be made but I'll have to wait and see.

This was by far the most beautiful and well designed property we have stayed in while vacationing in Palm Springs. Everything was a 10 out of 10 from the design, amenities, location and impeccable service from the house manager Rob. Thank you for a truly magical and relaxing stay!

We had our annual girls family trip at PS Aloha this year and declared it our favorite home and destination of all the 15 years we’ve been getting together. The house was fantastic both inside and out. They thought of every detail. Our house manager, Robert, was very attentive and awesome! they really make it easy and enjoyable. We will be back!

The one main suite needs to be accessed from the outside of the adjacent bedroom is occupied and you want that bedroom to not be walked through- it isn’t a big deal and we knew about it because we looked at the floor plan. There was and will be construction behind the house for .. who knows how long. The noise was a surprise so was a small disappointment. It was intermittent and therefore didn’t ruin outside all day everyday. Being aware of it in advance is helpful. The management team is responsive and nice. We will definitely return!

Very private home, was worried us chatting by the pool in the evening might be too loud for the noise ordinance but couldn't hear a peep outside of the gorgeous back yard, you'd really have to be loud and boisterous for sound to carry. No neighbors behind the property, gorgeous views of the mountain. Pool was a perfect temp even at peak heat 110f outside. The AC worked quite well inside too.
Overall, loved it. Great value for the amount of guests you can fit here, the finishes are well executed and there's enough fun quirk to make the place feel unique and "palm springs".
Only downside was some of the little touches and maintenance of a few was a bit worn down. One cabinet had a hinge falling off, and a master faucet was broken. Also, half of the lighting in the place was this garish white (which I don't prefer) while half incandescent, which was odd. But overall, can't complain. Was certainly one of the better rentals I've ever stayed in, nice enough that we didn't end up exploring palms springs as much as we planned.
