We loved everything about our stay at CasaJoMomma. The hosts were wonderful. Very communicative. The house and surroundings were more than we could have hoped for. Although the walk down to the dock and into the reef was of some slight taxing effort, well worth it. There are plenty of landings to stop and rest on the way back up to the house. The hosts were very accommodating when our stay was extended unexpectedly by a Tropical Storm/Hurricane. I would definitely stay here again.

House definitely looks better than the pictures on inside. Cleaning people didn’t clean the whole house they were late to let us check in. The pool pump broke he said he would be there in 45 minutes 4.5 days later he never came. I’ve maker on fridge doesn’t work. So u have to pump the ac if you want to get cool because I can’t get in pool and you can’t have ice in your drink. I think if they had a better property management person it would be better

We have been on maybe a dozen Caribbean trips and this property had the best view of all of them. We got married on the back patio with Megan’s Bay in the background. The manager was helpful and even came over and helped us move patio furniture out of they way for the wedding. You can find video on YouTube of the walk down to the water. There is a large deck just feet above the bay over the water. We did not swim there as the water was a little rough, but Magen’s Bay is very close for beach activities. The house was well equipped with all the VRBO necessities. As the description in the listing says, it is extremely private, unlike most VRBO’s. We will return one day!

This was the second time renting this property. The area is beautiful, and we will visit the islands again.
Cons:
The property owner promised repairs to be done and did not complete them. The refrigerator leaked the entire 8 days and we had to have a towel in front of the refrig to catch the water. The umbrella by the pool area was broken and a new one sitting in the driveway that was never installed. The fan on one of the decks had wires hanging out of it. We found 4 dead cockroaches and 1 live one in the house during our stay. The solar power had issues in the middle of the night for 8 hours the electric came on and off every few seconds, keeping us from getting any sleep that night! Owner did have a solution and never checked back with us to see if the problem was resolved. The entryway had clutter and was not appealing. The dryer was so loud we could not run while we were home.
Pros:
The bay was beautiful. The deck was nice to sit and watch the view. You could watch the pelicans and other wildlife from the deck. It was difficult to get to the bay and into the water, but once you did it was a nice area for snorkeling. The kitchen is newly remodeled and very nice. The pool was clean and nice.

Very unique property! Such a fun place! Our kids absolutely loved the views, the house, and of course the beaches. Now, things to improve on… the water may not always get warm when you want it- they’re on solar I believe…and the top bedroom gets a little warm but we figured out how to cool it down… The deck is so amazing!!! It’s tough for elderly or handicapped to get to, but if you can get there it’s so cool to enjoy the water!!. We love this place so much and would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!!

Casa Jo Mama is definitely a little piece of paradise, truly a hidden gem. So many beautiful places provided to sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful views. TOP NOTCH HOSPITALITY!! Host was very informative, provided great tips for the area, quick to respond. Hospitality didn’t stop when our trip ended. My son left behind a few items and Cobia was so kind and helpful with agreeing to ship items at no charge. Highly recommend Casa Jo Mama. You won’t be disappointed!

We had an amazing time in St Thomas and absolutely loved our stay at Casa Jo Mama. There is plenty of room for 6 adults to spread out comfortably. We took full advantage of early mornings on the deck watching Magen’s Bay come alive to watching the sunset from the pool (which is bigger than the pictures show - comfortably held 6 adults). We even snorkeled off the lower deck and 4 of us saw the resident octopus! We felt very safe in the gated community and the owners were extremely responsive and did everything to make our stay perfect! Highly recommend choosing Casa Jo Mama for your St Thomas stay!

This was our second trip to Casa Jo Mama and it was amazing! The kitchen is well outfitted with everything needed. The pool and views are amazing. Snorkeling off of the dock is incredible. Saw lots of fish and an eel. Ran in to the octopus 2 times. We will be back soon.

What a gorgeous home and incredible location!!! There was plenty of room for our group of 5. The house is very comfortable and was well supplied. The views are out of this world! Communication was great, any questions were answered immediately.
It was difficult to leave this amazing home!!

Our stay at this magnificent house was amazing. The house was very comfortable and unique. It’s located on the eastern side of Magen’s Bay out on a narrow pinnacle of land in a gated community and very private. There was a stunning array of wildflowers, humming birds and iguanas always about and stair access down to the water with a deck sitting area. The home is built on a hillside so each room is on a different level as are each bathroom. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need and there was plenty of snorkel gear, lounge chairs, coolers, etc. The check-in was a little off in our books as the host had communicated that we would have all the access info before we took off from the mainland to St Thomas. But that didn’t happen… We landed on St Thomas and still nothing. No answer of calls or texts. I eventually used some ingenuity to locate and get ahold of them and was told by the hostess that she didn’t ever send the info out until check-in time. To us that felt stressful and uncertain especially since we recently had a friend book a VRBO that ended up being fake and she had to scramble quickly to find another place…! Once we did get a hold of them, everything went smoothly and we were able to grocery shop with confidence that we had a place to put them. Our time got cut short here as my wife accidentally broke her leg and we had to leave to the Westin so we didn’t have to deal with all the stairs. I would definitely be interested in coming back! 5 star place!

The house is amazing! We loved every minute there. We snorkeled and enjoyed the deck over the ocean. Cooked some meals and had everything we needed. The outdoor shower was a great bonus. Communication was great. Directions easy and lots of great information given by the host. I honestly can't say a bad thing about the place. We miss it! Especially having my morning coffee down at the water. We will be back for sure and we HIGHLY recommend staying here.

Overall the property is clean and very functional.
Second floor ac was not functioning properly. Attempted to fix while we were there. Water was draining inside.

My hubby and I brought our two boys (9 and 11) for a week long stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary and I can't recommend Casa Jo Mama highly enough! Nikki and Cobia are absolutely amazing and the house and property are breathtaking. The kids had a great time looking for hermit crabs and they named all of the iguanas that came up each morning to warm themselves on the rocks. The pool is the perfect size for a nightly swim and watching the gorgeous sun set over Magen's Bay. We had a great time watching the pelicans dive into the water right in front of us as we relaxed under the palapa. The water was rough for most of our stay, and the waves crashing up over the rocks were impressive! The wind switched on our last day there and the waves calmed so we could see how perfect it would be to snorkel right in front of the property, the water is so clear! Most of the stairs that take you down to the lower decks are rock and are laid out very well to work perfectly with the landscaping and there's a railing that goes all the way down with beautiful lighting at night. The kitchen was great and they have every amenity you could possibly need in the house. The al fresco bathroom is a real treat!
The pictures do not do this property justice! We can't wait to come back!

Truly enjoyed the many features (refined and natural) the Villa provided. The owners are top-notch in all interactions during our stay. We WILL BE BACK based on our experience.

Exactly as advertised! Private with gorgeous views and plenty of space. Had a wonderful stay and hope to return another time. Easy access with preset, accurate codes and no delays which were all greatly appreciated for this quiet time out of the public eye to rest and reset. Highly recommend

This was one of the most unique houses we have stayed in. Very well stocked with anything you need, beds were comfortable, showers were great. Outside space was was the best, by the pool in the sun, on the back deck with the sun shade out or in, under the palapa right off the deck surrounded by all the island plants for shade and cool breeze and our FAVORITE place down the hill to the deck overhanging the water with its own palapa, benches & lounge chairs where you can lounge in the sun or shade and listen to the ocean. We will certainly be back!

This is an amazing property with plenty of reef access and tons of fish right from the cabana! The house is nice and spacious enough to spread out and also has ac throughout. The plunge pool is nice in the afternoons and evenings, as well as the beautiful sunsets right from the deck. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We stayed at Casa Jo Mama over the week of July 4th and it was simply stunning. The views are out of this world and the snorkeling from your own private pier is amazing. The pool is big enough to relax in the evening with a cold cocktail and watch the sunset. You are also less than 5 minutes from Magen's Bay Beach which is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever visited.
Niki and Cobia were great hosts who were always available and easy to communicate with. The check in process was very easy and the house is just like it is described. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen is loaded with everything you may need. We prepared lunch and dinner most of our time here and one tip is to make a trip to cost you less to get groceries and drinks. The property is about 10-15 minutes from the downtown area so I also would recommend renting a car. You do have to drive on the left side of the road but after the first day it becomes easy. The property does have a lot of stairs from the driveway down to the water so be prepared to go up and down a lot. The distance from the back porch down to the water is relatively short though and did not give us any issues. I highly recommend vacationing here and we will definitely be back!

Check in/ out was easy. Location was in a gated community on the side of a mountain. The house was nestled into a lot of native landscaping which was beautiful. We could not see or hear any neighbors throughout the stay. The pool was smaller than most but it was completely accommodating to our family of four. This house has everything you need inside except your own groceries. As other reviews state, the hike down to the ocean bay not an easy path but once there it was a beautiful view of the clear water. Once in the water, snorkeling was a must and the water was so clear. I only wish getting into the water was easier but after several times it gets easier.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Jo Mama. We were there celebrating our 35th anniversary. It was perfect for just two of us and very private and peaceful. I can see where it would be great for a larger group as there are several different areas to gather. Sitting buy the water on the dock and snorkeling by day and relaxing by the pool of an evening was our thing. The sunsets at the end of the bay are some of the most beautiful we have seen. The home was very clean and the hosts a pleasure to work with. We will definitely return. Stay left and drive slow!

Nothing but positive things to say about this gem of a place: house was beautiful, location was fantastic, view was gorgeous, snorkeling was superb, Coby was extremely attentive & helpful. The outdoor bathroom was a unique experience & the resident iguanas quite entertaining. We had a marvelous family celebration of our mom’s 81st birthday & made memories for a lifetime!

It was like an adventure! The Villa had everything you can think of from private corals to multiple decks with amazing views! We will definitely be coming again!

We loved having three separate bedrooms for the 3 adult couples. We each had our own bathroom which made morning routines a breeze. The kitchen was well equipped with supplies and even some little extras like sugar and rice. The highlight of the home was the outside space. An adventurous walk down to the water allows for snorkeling, watching the pelicans dive for their meals and the sunsets were beautiful. There is snorkel gear down on the lower level dock should you need it. Getting into the ocean can be a little tricky as it is very rocky. We got our exercise walking up and down that hill so no weight gain on this vacay. The pool was small but so enticing and it got a lot of use as we watched the geckos and iguanas bask in the sun. Great location. Great accomodations. I highly recommend visiting St Thomas and Cassa Jomama.

Wonderful place to stay. We loved how the house was built into the natural contours of the hill. Nikki and Cobia were great to connect with and took care of any questions and needs very quickly. Would love to stay here again!

Great time!
Spend time on the dock!
Snorkel at the property! Go into the water in the sandy spot to the left! Wear water shoes! Kitchen is well equipped, tons of games! The pool at sunset was awesome at the end of the day!
Two coolers, beach chairs and umbrella on-site were very helpful! Plenty of beach towels and regular towels , books and games to pick from!
Great time!

Casa Jo Mama was everything we hoped for. We had to cancel for two years because of Covid and Joedna was wonderful about working with us. So we finally made it to our dream destination and that's what it was. You're definitely on the edge of earth when you're listening to the crashing water beneath your feet and showering outside. I thank Joedna and Nikki for their outstanding interactions and care.

It is a nice villa in a beautiful location. It is definitely out of the way, so a rental car is strongly suggested.

Our group of six included three couples—this home was perfectly sized for our needs. We spent so much time both down on the waterfront deck and poolside up by the house and both areas were extremely comfortable with superb views. Please note that there are MANY stairs both inside and outside of the property—this caused our party no problem whatsoever, but people who are either unsteady on their feet, or not athletic could find this aspect difficult or limiting.
There are multiple outdoor spaces which really give multiple people the opportunity for privacy, if desired. There is a porch both off of ground floor bedroom, a main porch off of the kitchen, a deck by the pool, a gazebo, and the Oceanside deck complete with a hammock. The hammock is amazing—feels like you are floating on the edge of the world!
The hosts were extremely responsive and we appreciated their dedication to our needs. We would love to return and encourage those who are looking at this property that the value for what you get is excellent!

The house was very nice, clean and close to the things we wanted to do. The owners were wonderful and live close by so they were able to come over and show us stuff easily. There are a lot of steps at this house, keep that in mind if you have anyone that has trouble with stairs.
This is a awesome retreat for a group of friends, wonderful kitchen area and large dining area for games!…would definitely go back!

The outside space is amazing! The pool, the pool area, the deck, the view, the dock...all unbelievable. Honestly you are not going to find a more beautiful view on the island. Cobia, the house manager is so very attentive. It was the perfect space for us and just what I was looking for. The pictures do not do it justice.

We LOVED this location. The set up of the house was very fun and the kids loved exploring. My parents (mid 60s) stayed in the room with an outdoor bathroom, large sliding glass doors and a deck over looking a beautiful view. The 3 kids stayed in a room with twin beds and a loft with two more beds. My 8 year old daughter thought that the loft was the "best place to sleep ever." My husband and I took the third room with a king sized bed. It was nice that each bedroom had their own AC so you could choose your settings. Every room from the house has a great view, so even while cooking meals, you can enjoy the feel of the island. 5 different sitting areas outside are awesome to move around enjoy different views. Bring your bug spray! The palapa at the bottom of the stairs is super cool with great views and great rocks for kids (and parents) to explore. Looks like it would have been perfect for snorkeling, but a north swell came in making it too rough to snorkel on the property. We did enjoy watching the waves and saw a turtle on the last day. We enjoyed the pool (even if it's a little small) at the end of the days and saw beautiful sunsets. Prepare for a 20-30 minute drive to get to most restaurants, Root 42 is close by and pretty good for casual dining. Nikki, the property manager gave us a bunch of other great suggestions as well. Nikki was super nice and easy to get ahold of when needed for any issues we may have had. This place had everything we needed and we all loved staying here. Would definitely stay again if we came back to St. Thomas.

We absolutely loved this property! The house was clean and well decorated. The views are amazing!! We were able to snorkel right of the deck and saw sea turtles and swam with a very large tarpon. The property manager was easy to communicate with and very helpful. We rented a car an I’m so glad we did! It was only a quick 20 minute or less drive to anywhere on the island. We are already planning a trip back!

Our family enjoyed this property immensely. We were comfortable, it had everything we needed. We did not take advantage of the ocean-side like I thought we would. It is not simple to get in and out of the ocean. The area is very rocky. We enjoyed the snorkeling once we made it to the ocean. You can enjoy sitting at the beautiful dock by the ocean, but there is no area next to the water to sit. The entire area is full of large rocks that you climb thru to get to the oceans edge. Would recommend this place to others.

This property is incredible! I wish we had video of the looks on our faces when we arrived. Perfect for our group of 8 (two families, 4 adults and 4 kids). We enjoyed hanging on the patio for coffee in the morning and relaxing in the evening, dipping in the pool after a long day of activities, and snorkeling RIGHT FROM THE PROPERTY. Don't worry that it's not in the super touristy areas, nothing is more than a 30 minute scenic drive. The house is beautiful, and the owners are communicative and responsive. We have been spoiled for all other vacation homes and hope to return.
