A unique and wonderful place to stay.

This is remarkable place to stay - at the water's edge on a promontory across the river from Plymouth, in a former military fort. The apartment is only yards from the waves and has everything you need, including a balcony and allocated parking. Highly recommended.

Everything was great. The massive stone building felt chilly at first (in February) but soon warmed up.

Stunning location, wonderful home away from

The view was utterly stunning and the location wonderful. A clean, beautiful apartment with a kind, welcoming host who is always available. A really special place we hope to return to.

Really unique place to stay

Fort Picklecombe is an unusual building with a unique history and that was one of the main reasons for visiting. The ground floor apartment opened out onto a balcony with the sea only a few metres away - wonderful to watch during the summer storm that happened when I was there. There is also excellent walking from the Fort

The underground parking and corridors leading from it to the apartment were dully lit. I felt totally safe, but it was a bit unwelcoming (it's a problem I see with a lot of apartments that were built/created in the 70s & 80s). However, the lift worked fine and once in the apartment, it was soon forgotten.

Quiet stay by the sea

I booked the place mainly because of its location so I can have a seaview and stayed in a historical fort, I am so pleased with my stay even though just before going I was without my car but with some careful planning using public transport and good suggestion from my host Heather, everything worked out well. The apartment had everything I need, very comfortable and quiet, lots of coastal and country walks around and residents in the block were friendly. There were books on local history and information about the fort provided in the apartment. Relaxing holiday in a hidden gem.

An unspoilt corner in a beautiful area of Cornwall

Location Location Location So quiet and peaceful right on the water front . You couldn't be any closer without swimming . Walking to Cawsands a short pleasure

Walking was great for us .However the climb up to the road is steep and not for the faint hearted.

This was a little gem of a place , sea views are exceptional. This is some where to relax and be away from the hustle & bustle of life. Top notch

Clean and well looked after apartment in a perfect location near the sea

The apartment was very clean and well equipped in a fantastic location. Modern and tasteful decor. Lovely sandy beach at the location and close to walks at beautiful Mount Edgcumbe. Wonderful views overlooking the breakwater and Plymouth Sound

No complaints whatever, it was perfect and better than my expectations

I’ve stayed at the Fort before it this apartment was by far the nicest .

Fab location, very comfortable bed, the decor and quality of furnishings etc. excellent shower room.

It was superb, we hope to come back again and again!

Gorgeous view, lovely place to get away from everything and enjoy the water. The first two days the water was relatively calm, the last two days the waves were spectacular and having a front row seat was AMAZING!

Everything was actually really nice and pleasant. It was clean, it was bright, the bed was really comfortable. Kitchen and bathroom were clean a functional. Maybe a sharper sharp knife in the kitchen?
