About this house rental
Our 2 bathroom 2 bedroom, alone with two couches that pull out to queen beds, is perfect for your next getaway. Solo trips or groups up to 8 this home has everything you'll need. A quick 3 min walk to the beach, a well equipped kitchen, fenced backyard, and much more.
At the end of the block there is a coffee cart with a large assortment of beverages and right next to them is a food cart with amazing hotdogs!!! Both are a must when staying at The Beacon.
The heart of town is just a short walk up the road but you can usually find a parking place if you choose to drive. There are train rides, wonderful candy shops and of course cute little shops up and down the main strip.
When you're done for the day you can head on back to the house and enjoy a lovely mountain view from the back deck!
At the end of the block there is a coffee cart with a large assortment of beverages and right next to them is a food cart with amazing hotdogs!!! Both are a must when staying at The Beacon.

This is absolutely the ideal home for a family stay. A great dining table for meals, and a well stocked kitchen. Roomy living area with games and such in case of a ( very likely) rainy day.
Even our pup was stoked! A nifty little pet area with bowls , toys and even spare poo bags in case you forget !
Everything was so clean and prepped for anything you need. The yard was fantastic with a firepit a BBq area and a large deck. I could say so much more!
I was pleasantly surprised in the quick response from owners and everything was communicated so well as we had made this plan last minute ! Rockaway is a neat, small town and we enjoyed the shops, candy store and very near beach access.

We super enjoyed our 3 overnight stay. Started off with straightforward house instructions, the house had everything we needed including really nice extras for our dog! The yard was wonderful, there were towels, treats, baggies, dishes, & even a XLarge crate upstairs! The extra touches didnt stop there. We loved the Christmas decor, the comfy beds, clean bathrooms (w/ all the necessities incase you forgot yours), and overall a really clean & quiet house. Would definitely stay again! Thank you so much guys for providing such a beautiful peaceful place. Happy holidays everyone!

Loved the place! We had no complaints only minor obstacle was crossing the HWY to get to the beach, but it was’nt that bad. Walking distance to shops and groceries. Would absolutely book again. A

Overall, our stay was good. We did find two issues. The first was simple. The lamp in the downstairs bedroom has a broken on/off switch. The second was the bedding in the downstairs bedroom had been washed in something with an overwhelmingly strong fragrance. We had to find bedding that was not scented and remake the bed.

Spent four days in Rockaway Beach. Even though the weather was rainy and cool we enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was clean and well stocked with the items needed for a carefree stay. The location has easy access to the beach and is within walking distance to stores and restaurants. Being able to bring our dog along with us on the trip was a defining factor in selecting this property. We would definitely consider staying here again should we decide to visit Rockaway in the future.

Plenty of Room
Really liked the place. Couldn't get the blue ray/dvd player to work which is too bad as they have a great selection to choose from. Maybe some kind of instructions would be helpful. There are two plugins in the kitchen and the one where the coffee maker is located does not work, had to move it to the only other plug in near the counters. They do have a large dog kennel in the upstairs master bedroom that really came in handy as we couldn't bring ours, no room in the car. We had a great time.

Home away from home
This property was perfect for our family. Our toddlers loved all the bubbles, color supplies and movie options. They also thought the dog crate upstairs made the perfect fort. :) we were very happy with our stay and look forward to coming back next year.

Great Visit
We loved our stay in Rockaway Beach. The house is centrally located; it was easy to walk to food or the beach. The house was very clean. The kitchen was full of dishes, silverware, cookware, etc. which sometimes isn't the case. The house was well stocked with linens, blankets, towels, pillows and everything you need to be comfortable. The seating was comfortable except for the dining room chairs. The house was perfect for families traveling with dogs. The upstairs bed was very soft, the downstairs bed was more firm. The kitchen and bathrooms were a bit outdated, but clean and well maintained.

Great family trip with dogs
The house was a great set up for family fun and dogs. We had dinner with friends and games at the table, movies with our immediate family in the living room and walk to the beach. With only one of the bedrooms upstairs, it was great for our old dog who couldn’t make it up the stairs. He missed out on nothing! Thank you! My 11 y/o son said it was one of his favorite trips ever !

Great location and quiet.
The house is in a great location, only about 2.5 blocks from the beach. In a quiet little neighborhood. The house itself didn’t look like it had been cleaned very well though. My friends found dog hair in the pull out bed and there was dirt on counters and in the bathroom floors. Other than that it was a pleasant stay. Communication with owners was very good.

Family weekend
Great location, easy walk to the beach, all set up for dogs, fenced yard. We had a wonderful time. The bubbles were a hit with our 3 year old grandson, the toys wre great too! Kitchen was well stocked and having the BBQ worked well for us, we used it 2 out of the 3 nights we were there. Great place, would definitely stay agsin!

Nice place, great location
Enjoyed the open floor plan, big screen TV, well equipped kitchen, and backyard. Beach is right across the street, and there's a "cart" three doors down serving breakfast, coffee, and smoothies. Nice place, great location.

Amazing location and value
We were extremely impressed. The owners communication was great. It was close to the beach and to town. The home was spacious and had a huge deck. The owners went above and beyond with little "extras" throughout the house. I would highly recommend this property and definitely plan to stay again.

Great Place in Rockaway.
This was the perfect place for our stay. The house was well equipped with nice quality appliances, comfortable furnishings. Nice quiet location and easy walk to the beach. Owners are quick to respond to questions and give you their cell numbers for during your stay.

Beautiful House
The owners of this property have thought of everything that is needed to have a comfortable stay here! Games, movies, books, campfire, bbq, all cutlery and kitchen equipment. Very clean and beautifully decorated. Would be willing to come here again!

Wonderful modern home with plenty of amenities. such as reliable wi-fi, cable, and pets allowed! Big plus was the fenced yard, keeping in my fur-babies.

Felt like home right from the start.
Wished the beds were just a little bigger and the toilet continued to run after each flush. However I love this town and every thing is in walking distance. Especially the beach. The house is so dog friendly with toys, treats, leashes and even a crate. Extra blankets all over to cover up with while relaxing in the evening. Beautiful Mountain View’s off the back deck and very quiet neighborhood. I will be back and have already told a friend about this house. And..... everyone in this town is so friendly and accommodating

By far, the best place we have ever stayed
From the moment you walk through the door (they have a key lock that actually works) til you are upstairs, there is surprise after surprise. We would not hesitate to recommend this as a wonderful place to vacation.

The Beacon at Rockaway
My 5 girl cousins and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Beacon. It was a short walk to the beach--2 blocks. There was a coffee stand at the end of Beacon Street that 2 of my cousins loved. The house was well-appointed. It had all the cookware needed as well as dishes. There were extra spices and oils needed for cooking which we appreciated. There was an array of movies to watch late into the night. Beds were comfortable as well as the couches. We did leave a suggestion on how to get the shower to work. It took all 6 heads for us to figure out how to get the faucet to turn from tub to shower. We left the directions in the book used for directions on the house.
Lots of the shops were closed when we were in Rockaway and did not open up until Thursday, our day to leave. This was somewhat disappointing, since it was at the height of tourist season. However, we did go to Tillamook and Seaside.. I would recommend The Beacon at Rockaway to friends and family. The 6 of us made great memories!

Well Stocked cute little beach house
When they say for families they mean it! They had kid movies, books, bubbles and more. Very cute and cozy inside. We enjoyed ourselves a lot.

Wonderful place to escape
This was such a lovely home with a great backyard to soak up the sun and play with the dog. It had everything you could need which made the stay a breeze! Great personal touches that left you feeling very welcomed in the space. I look forward to coming back to this home in the future!

Excellent stay!
The place was cozy, large enough for 5 of us to have plenty of room. We loved that they were perfectly set up for pets with a large back yard, extra toys and leashes. The house was full of the amenities that you enjoy at home but don’t want to travel with. Bonus points that they had a Xmas tree set up so we could really feel at home for the holiday. Highly recommend and we’d love to come back again!
