Really enjoyed our stay here, house was very clean and outside seating was very comfortable.

We were delighted by the beautiful home, inside and out! Very clean with everything you need for a wonderful stay. Outdoors has ample seating and beautiful scenery. Local wineries within walking distance.

Every 12 hours one of the three of us would exclaim, "This house is so perfect!" :). The remodeled interior, the well-appointed kitchen, the comfy beds, the happy-colored decor ... PLUS the backyard view, we loved this spot. Quiet neighborhood. Easy walking-distance tasting rooms ... we really never went beyond a two-mile circle!!! Ha. Be aware the very few shopping opportunities are closed MonTue ... if you want to book outside of that.
Note: Embarrassingly, locking back door and coffee pot required the manual ... luckily we are seasoned VRBOers and manual enthusiasts. :))). Thx for that, Mary.

This was an amazing little cottage for my friends and I. I got married in Kenwood and it was the perfect retreat in the midst of busy wedding times. Thank you, Mary!!

Beautifully appointed tastefully decorated.

We stayed to visit my mom nearby, not for the wineries and related, which we are very familiar with. The property is attractive and very well-maintained. Three rows of trellised vines on the backyard's rear and side revealed grapes at the fruit set stage - where the grapes are tiny, bright green, and hard. The vineyard manager stopped one day to perform leafing, which ensures that the grapes are properly exposed and protected.
Apart from the vines, the host stocked the backyard with chairs and tables, making it especially inviting and easy to entertain family. The well-appointed kitchen provides a quality stove and appliances for preparing anything you want. We took advantage for breakfast and hors d'oeuvres. The nearby restaurants are convivial with good food, wines and service, while the Zapata taco truck at the corner of 12 surprised us with its great taste, especially the carnitas tacos, and hospitality.
We did have some quibbles having to do with the comfort of the pillows, we didn't find them so. I would bring my own next time. However, the furnishings were comfortable, allowing us to relax and enjoy ourselves.
Crossing 12 can take time when making a Left due to traffic. The good news is that It's easy to access a traffic light that's just a few blocks from the house. You can reach it easily by a neighborhood street.

Beautiful property. Clean, well appointed and perfect location. The cottage has everything you need. after a day of wine tasting it was a pleasure to come back to this cottage. Felt like home away from home. We’ll be back!

We enjoyed our stay at this cottage feel wine country home. Would have loved two baths but we made it work out fine. Thank you.

We enjoyed our stay in Kenwood. The house is very clean and the outside space is amazing! Kenwood has plenty of wineries close by and within a reasonable drive you can get to Sonoma, Armstrong Nature Preserve or the coast.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable and quaint and felt like home. Exceeded our expectations. Would love to visit again and will definitely recommend to friends and family.

We had a wonderful time at this property. It is close to so many vineyards and amazing restaurants. Our host provided easily 10 days worth of vineyards to visit and places to eat, so we will definitely have to come back to stay here again! :). The property was immaculate when we arrived and well appointed. I would have like to enjoy the backyard more, but we just didn’t have time! Highly recommend.

Overall our stay of three senior women was delightful.
I would like to point out, however, we could not find any sheets or blankets to make up the daybed.
One of the women was planning to sleep on it, and since we couldn’t find sheets or blankets, two women had to sleep together, which was not ideal.
Later, on in the week, we discovered blankets in some type of Hasek. I think this information should definitely be put in the Green information book.
Also, it would save a lot of time and hassle if you would state in the information about operating the TV that there is no regular TV stations. We spent a lot of time trying to figure that out and finally had to call the owner.
Oh, the thermostat control was not the easiest to find. Once again, it would be nice if that information were in the book.
More hand towels would be helpful 😊
I only gave it four stars because of the above things that we felt we’re missing.
We all agreed that we would stay here again.

Beautiful property, well supplied and great location.

This was the perfect location for a wine country get-away. A little quieter than Napa, but with great wineries and vinyards all within just a few minutes walk/drive. The cottage was so comfortable. A great place to unwind even more after a day full of unwinding. The kids (adult) think this should be an annual event. I agree!

Beautiful property. Clean, well appointed, quiet and close to great wineries without the high paced feel of Napa and Sonoma.

We would definitely recommend!!!
Thank you Mary for the ease of this stay.

We loved this beautiful, well-appointed home in the perfect location to enjoy Sonoma’s best wineries! The owner made sure we had the best experience possible and went above and beyond to help us plan our trip!

The house was perfect and comfortable. Centrally located for our day trips up to Healdsburg and south toward Sonoma. There was plenty to do in walking distance or just a short drive. The hosts recommendations were great and really helped us make the most of our trip. Thanks Mary & Marty!

We stayed here with 5 adults for a wedding. The house is beautiful, and we thoroughly enjoyed having a glass of wine around the fire pit at night. The neighborhood is quiet and close to quite a few wineries. My only caveat to staying here with more than 4 people is that the daybed room is open to the living room and is between the bathroom and the rest of the house. It was fine for our group but could be troublesome for some people. The house was incredibly well stocked. We would love to stay here again if we're ever back in the area.

I had been planning all year for a special girls weekend for my best friend's birthday (milestone one!) and this was the perfect place for the three of us. The unit was immaculate and have everything we needed and more besides easy convenience to Sonoma and Healdsburg. We enjoyed the back deck each day and pretty vines. Thank-you so much for making our special weekend seamless.

This place is absolutely adorable! So clean and a really cute neighborhood, all within walking distance to a few wineries and restaurants. The backyard is quiet and serene. We had no issues getting an Uber out to Napa area if you'd like to check out some additional areas. Mary was an excellent host- very attentive and answered questions quickly. We very much enjoyed our stay and would plan on coming back to this perfect house.

Booked for a short visit to wine country for my wife and I. From booking to check out, it couldn't have gone better. I am a 31 year hotel professional and the last place I want to stay when I am on vacation is ....... a hotel! Mary the owner was very prompt to answer questions and make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. It was such a pleasure at the end of the day to come back to a peaceful house with a beautiful yard, big well appointed kitchen and a grill. In spite of all the great restaurants in that area we chose to cook at the house four of the five nights just because it was so relaxing. Location was perfect for our day trips as we went in a different direction each day but nothing we wanted to see in wine country (Napa, Sonoma Coast, Russian River, Calistoga) was more than about a 30 minute drive. We expect to stay there again and highly recommend it.

The cottage is an amazing gem...clean, picturesque and so many thoughtful details. The owners gave some wonderful recommendations for local wineries and were quickly responsive to any question about the check in process and the property. A minor issue with the AC was resolved and I cannot say enough about how wonderful they were with communication and the experience in their property. I would not hesitate to stay here again, and am looking forward to returning. Perfect location and a lovely wine country getaway!

Check in was easy and the property was beautiful! The price was reasonable for the location especially with 4 of us looking to split up the cost. There’s a cute little general store nearby, but we were also able to Instacart groceries. The view of the mountainside in the back yard was gorgeous. They did have a fire pit ready to use but we didn’t have time to enjoy that. The TV instructions and cable box were not as easy to figure out for local channels but we were able to enjoy Netflix. My only complaint was that there was a bit of an ant situation in the kitchen. Be careful not to leave any dishes out on the counter or recycling without a cap on the bin because there were an abundance of ants that would come. Not a huge deal for us we tried to keep it tidy and put empty wine bottles etc outside. The kitchen was very pretty and big for a group to sit at the table. The coffee maker was a bit of a challenge for us only because we’re used to normal pot coffee makers. This one be cared with because you must empty out the old coffee before making new coffee, it pours out the coffee by the cup instead of a pot and isn’t your normal keurig. Overall definitely a great location to be if your looking for wineries mainly in Sonoma - and it’s about a 35 minute drive through the valley to Calistoga which can be done with planning. 👏👏😊

The home was in a great location = it felt peaceful and secluded but we close to great restaurants and wineries. We especially enjoyed meals at Glen Ellen Star, Tips Roadside and Les Pascals Patisserie. And if you like red wine Deerfield Ranch is not to be missed.
The home itself was immaculate and comfortable and the backyard with its vine, olive trees and trickling stream was delightful although it was too chilly to spend much time out there.
Note - it is quite a drive to Napa wineries so plan your visits accordingly!

If you're going to Sonoma (and you should, because it is spectacularly beautiful and interesting), you absolutely should consider staying at Mary's house. Mary is very helpful and responsive. The house is sparkling clean and large, and the interior is very nice. It is on a lovely, large property that can be used for outside meals or just lounging. The Kenwood neighborhood is fascinating and you'll enjoy just walking around it. The location is great for seeing the rest of Sonoma. We made friends at the Mayo Winery, which is in walking distance and offers great wines. We definitely will return. I'd give this house 10 stars if I could.

Very good communication with owner. Lovely kitchen and we really enjoyed the backyard with the fire pit. Large bathroom with plenty of hot water. We would have liked a little map of the town Kenwood listing the wineries. We did not find that many were within walking distance and spent a lot of money on ubers during our stay. It is located about 45 minutes to Napa and 30 to Sonoma. Each one-way taxi/uber was between $75-$150. Great Mexican place 2 blocks away, though. Quiet neighborood, felt safe and relaxed.

Had a great time.

Lovely location surrounded by its own grape vines. Well appointed home. Close to Sonoma, St. Helena and Napa. Delicious meals at Girl & Fig, Sunflower Cafe, Glen Ellen Star, Gott’s Roadside & Mustard’s Grill.
2.5
The property was clean and beautiful. The owner was extremely responsive. Since this was our first trip to Napa, we didn’t realize that we would either have to travel the harrowing road through the mountains or a long loop around the mountains to get to most of the wineries, but the house was close to a market and a nice restaurant, so it worked out fine.
2.5
Very comfortable home in a neighborhood that provides easy access to restaurants and wine country. We wish we could have enjoyed the outside but we were busy with wedding activities. We hope to rent here again.
2.5
We had a very nice stay. The pillows are the thin style, so you may want to bring your own if you like a different kind.
2.5
This was such a well done home for our stay while in Kenwood. Super clean and easy to get to everything in the home. It was perfectly located for our trip. Backyard was beautiful and perfect for relaxing if you wanted to have your own fire and sip wine outside. The vineyard vines and apple tree were a pleasant surrounding in this little oasis.
