This is a Capitol Hill Stay property. Capitol Hill Stay is a veteran-owned small business with 24 properties on Capitol Hill. We have been providing furnished lodging on Capitol Hill since 1996. We use excellent cleaners and pay them a living wage (they are best in DC if you ask me). And we have a professional full time property manager. If this property doesn't work for you or isn't available for the dates you need please reach out to us and let us know and we can see if we can find a property that does work for you. You can also swap from one of our properties to another as available if needed. Additionally you can see all of our Airbnb listings at our Airbnb host profile page.
Remarkable Capitol Hill apartment. Entire top two floors of 1850s building.
Charming place. Entire top two floors. Tons of light. Large modern windows in every room.
Huge master bedroom with queen bed. Second bedroom is smaller with full size futon.
Tons of light on three sides. Huge roof deck. Beautiful side gardens.
One bedroom is quite large. The other is fairly small. Both have queen beds. There is a queen sleeper sofa in the living area.
Unbelievable location on beautiful street.
Since this is a top floor apartment we would ask guests to be reasonably quiet since two apartments are below. Quiet hours after 10 pm would be in effect.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK ABOUT PRICING. We have been a primarily longer term housing provider for 25 years but pricing on Airbnb is very hard to communicate and set, as it's impossible to know the dates and circumstances of every possible guest's needs in advance when we set pricing. Pricing may vary significantly depending on length of stay, specific dates, etc. For longer term stays there may be discounts possible.

Capitol Hill is an outstanding neighborhood. It's historic, charming, and ideally located at the absolute geographic center of DC. Terrific safety, with the US Capitol police patrolling the area. Home to many politicians, media figures, etc.
Corner groceries, pharmacy, great diner and dry cleaners a two minute walk away.
Eastern Market (farmers market and baker/butcher etc) is a few blocks away. Amazing restaurants and lively bars within blocks!
Whole Foods and several other supermarkets in the neighborhood.
Five blocks to metro orange/blue and red lines. Union Station train station is five blocks. Union Station is home to the major sightseeing tours. Capital Bikeshare kiosk is a couple minutes walk.
Uber and Lyft and cheap and very easy to get here.
DC Circulator metro rapid bus transit also very close by.
Terrific light from numerous windows. Roof deck and garden is a rarity in DC. Great spot to explore DC from. Fantastic neighborhood for longer term stays too.
Inquire about parking PRIOR to booking please. There is very little need to bring a vehicle, as there is great metro and bikeshare access, and rideshares are inexpensive and readily available. Most places you want to go to in DC won't have parking when you get there. 24/7 street parking near this property is possible with a street parking pass, which can be obtained from the DC DMV with a copy of a lease and vehicle information. It costs around $250 for a six month pass. Free street parking with no pass needed is free and open to all every night, all weekend, and two hours each weekday. We have about five offstreet parking spaces in the immediate area. We rent them from neighbors. IF a paid space is available they usually go for $300 a month. Union Station parking garage is five blocks away and can do monthly rentals including oversize vehicles for around $300 a month.
A word about rates:
Since every booking is different the rates listed are an approximation. Rates are based on length of stay, specific dates needed, amenities requested, etc. Bookings less than 91 days are subject to the DC lodging tax of 15.95%. SINCE EVERY INQUIRY IS DIFFERENT AND THE BIGGEST FACTOR IN PRICE IS THE SPECIFIC DATES CHOSEN AND LENGTH OF STAY RATES MAY BE HIGHER OR LOWER THAN WHAT IS POSTED. PLEASE INQUIRE SO WE CAN DISCUSS PRIOR TO SENDING A BOOKING REQUEST.
Fall and winter months are very high demand, moreso this year than ever before as this is the first year that many federal agencies and private employers are bringing people back to DC, and they are making up for lost productivity during Covid.
And of course it's a presidential election year.
Most furnished housing providers in DC will only take bookings for three months or longer during these months. We will do less, but the rates do go up. And generally we try to match an incoming booking with an apartment that is available within a week or so of the requested date. For instance if you are seeking a month rental beginning July 1 we would want to match your request with a property available in very late June or July 1. If the property you inquired about seems to have an availability date that may not match up then you can always check HERE see all properties and their available dates.
Our average booking is around four to six months. We are primarily a longer term lodging provider. We can do shorter, but in the furnished housing business rates go up for shorter stays.
Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions.

Lovely property right near attractions and within walking distance to anything you may need.
Lovely property right in the middle of everything. My family and I enjoyed our stay and were comfortable coming home every evening after sightseeing in DC. Convenient location to all the museum attractions and within walking distance to everything you may need.

Really lovely and we enjoyed cooking a few meals in the nice kitchen.

Great place to stay!
What a perfect apartment! We loved being so close to everything and the beautiful Capitol Hill neighborhood was delightful. We didn’t get to use the great rooftop deck as much as we’d liked due to a week of rain. The apartment was nice to return to after a busy day. We walked everywhere including several nice restaurants within blocks. Hope to return and hope for better weather!

Great stay, Brian and his team communicated everything perfectly, we will definitely stay again.

THE location of locations on Capitol Hill
Best thing about this property is it’s proximity to everything on Capitol Hill as well as walking distance to National Mall and Federal Triangle and a decent selection of restaurants and markets, especially Eastern Market. Very quiet and peaceful street. Good outdoor space to relax in the small garden and rooftop deck. Property is very clean and bed was comfortable. Bathroom and kitchen have both been updated very nicely and equipped well. Met the property manager while leaving one day and very nice guy and obviously takes great pride in the property. Will definitely return!

Great place, great location!
Fantastic location! Great place! Only a few minor glitches otherwise it would rate 5 stars. The most important issue was inability to access the internet. My traveling companion was from Chile and she needed internet access to stay in touch with her elderly mother. However, In the owners defense we did not reach out to request that it be fixed - our day was packed with activities and we could not afford the distraction.
Otherwise the place was fantastic and Luis was extremely friendly and helpful.
I highly recommend this place to those considering a visit to Washington DC. Overall great value!

Wonderful place to stay in DC!
We loved this apartment - great location and it was just as advertised. We would recommend this place highly.
i made a big mistake -- assuming (incorrectly) that we had one more day to stay -- so we left to visit the sights with all of our bags and valuables still at the apt...and I was unreachable because of a dead cell phone that left Brian and Luis in a difficult predicament. They did their best to take care of their new tenant (we are so sorry for them) and Luis was very understanding with us.

Great Location!
We enjoyed our stay very much. The location was perfect to walk to the museums and monuments and close to bus and train lines too. We didn't drive at all. The house was very clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was that the fire alarms would go off every time we used the oven. There is no fan above the stove and even with the kitchen window open the alarms would go off. Other than that it was terrific and we would stay again.

Perfect spot for our DC trip with our older kids. Owners were very responsive and easy to work with.

Big, bright and beautiful
Excellent location (10-15 minute walk to Union Station) and easy to walk to museums and restaurants. We really liked the windows, the spacious rooms, and the sunlight in this second floor location, since so many rentals in DC are dark, narrow basement apartments. Lovely furnishings, very comfortable chairs and beds and the entire place was very, very clean. Nicely equipped kitchen and beautiful bathroom. And a nice deck and landscaping (although it was too cold to enjoy the deck in Feb.). Communication with the landlords was easy and efficient. Highly, highly recommend. We'd love to return!

Great Location - Nice apartment
We had a great stay. The apartment is in a great location and is great for those looking for two separate bedrooms. Kitchen is small but great. Nice porches and nice living room. Host is easy to work with and we would stay again . HIGHLY recommend.

Great location and accomodations
We loved the location of this place - close to Capitol and easy access to bikes and metro - but in a residential neighborhood which makes you feel like a local. We found it very easy to walk to Eastern Market to a variety of restaurant options. Flat was clean with nice furnishings and stocked with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Beats a hotel stay any day!!
After staying in this apt. home, it will be hard to ever stay in a hotel for a vacation again!! We loved the privacy, the extra quiet setting, the convenience, and just the extra space for my family to hang out and relax after an exhausting day of sightseeing! With teenagers, it was nice for them to have a space for themselves.
Only thing we needed was maybe some extra blankets, extra batteries for remote, and some extra towels, but in fairness, I did not call anyone to ask during my stay. Also the shower was great, but water pressure with bathroom sink was not great.
Overall, none of this would keep us from returning to the property, thanks for having us!

Mother daughter getaway!
There are so many positive things to say about this property but I keep coming back to 2 things. One is that the owners responded to all of our questions immediately, so I always felt that we were being taken care of, and second, the pillows and sheets on the beds were the most comfortable I have ever encountered anywhere....including my own home! The location of this home couldn't be more perfect, the homes are picture perfect, restaurants are close by and The Capitol is right around the corner. I love that the house is warm and inviting, but not cluttered with stuff. I have stayed in some homes that don't leave enough space to feel fully moved in, and that was not the case here. My daughter and I walked so much during our trip and it was so hot, it would be remiss to not mention that the air conditioning was amazing. Finally I should mention that the house was immaculate. Whe I return to DC, I will be looking to rent from this company again.
