This is a Capitol Hill Stay property. Capitol Hill Stay is a veteran-owned small business with 24 properties on Capitol Hill. We have been providing furnished lodging on Capitol Hill since 1996. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK ABOUT PRICING. We have been a primarily longer term housing provider for 25 years but pricing on Airbnb is very hard to communicate and set, as it's impossible to know the dates and circumstances of every possible guest's needs in advance when we set pricing. A word about rates:
Since every booking is different the rates listed are an approximation. Rates are based on length of stay, specific dates needed, amenities requested, etc. Bookings less than 91 days are subject to the DC lodging tax of 15.95%. SINCE EVERY INQUIRY IS DIFFERENT AND THE BIGGEST FACTOR IN PRICE IS THE SPECIFIC DATES CHOSEN AND LENGTH OF STAY RATES MAY BE HIGHER OR LOWER THAN WHAT IS POSTED. PLEASE INQUIRE SO WE CAN DISCUSS PRIOR TO SENDING A BOOKING REQUEST.
Late spring and summer are the 'high season' very high demand months, moreso this year than ever before as this is the first year that many federal agencies and private employers are bring people back to DC, and they are making up for lost productivity during Covid. Most furnished housing providers in DC will only take bookings for three months or longer during these months. We will do less, but the rates do go up. And generally we try to match an incoming booking with an apartment that is available within a week or so of the requested date. For instance if you are seeking a month rental beginning July 1 we would want to match your request with a property available in very late June or July 1. If the property you inquired about seems to have an availability date that may not match up then you can always check HERE see all properties and their available dates.
Our average booking is around four to six months. We are primarily a longer term lodging provider. We can do shorter, but in the furnished housing business rates go up for shorter stays.
Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions.

Perfect Location !
It was a wonderful stay, the property was more than accommodating!! The host is an incredibly good communicator anything you need they will take care of you . The neighborhood is cute and safe, the corner store has a wide variety of anything you could think of no need to load up on groceries . It was one of the best weekends I’ve had in 10 years... the accommodations definitely had something to do with it :) looking forward to my next stay !

Wonderful House...Excellent Location
Wanted a change of location after months of being at home in front of a computer (COVID Life). Very comfortable house for three of us and our little dog. Clean, kitchen with what you need for breakfast, and close to interesting take-out food restaurants for dinner. House is a few blocked from Capital and walking distance to Eastern Market. Recommend this house!

Great location, great hosts
Worth every penny. Location is excellent, house is great, and communication is top-notch. Really a great host and makes the experience that much better. Will definitely book again if the occasion arises.

Great Location, Great Property, Great Communication
This place was really nice. We didn't expect the place to be spacious, which was really nice. We also felt like home :) Checking in/out was contactless and there were hand sanitizers placed in the bathroom and kitchen and just like a hotel - shampoo/conditioner, body soap. Very very nice :)
The neighborhood allowed us to be close to my husband's parent's place; walking distance. But with the weather and having our baby with us; driving was better and quick. We did not have any problems looking for off-street parking.
Communicating with Brian (owner) and Luis (property manager) were really seamless. We could always reach them. Thank you so much for making our stay stress free and for keeping the place clean and ready for us.

House exceeded my expectations
Great neighborhood. You can be almost anywhere in town by bike in 10 minutes. Bike rental station is about 20 yards from front door. I would stay here again. Thank you for letting me stay in your home.

Great apartment in a historic neighborhood.
The apartment was great and the perfect size for the 5 of us . The bathroom was recently upgraded and had spa like feel to it . We loved the historic neighborhood which was in easy walking distance of the Capitol and monuments along the mall . The owners were very attentive and easy to communicate with . We had a great weekend and hope to stay again in our future trips to DC.

Home away from home!
Loved the location. The apt was clean and family friendly. The only downsides - an overactive smoke detector (we moved the toaster to the counter by the window) and not enough bedding for 2 kids. We managed by taking a blanket from our bed and Lucy was comfy on the couch chshions on the floor. Neither kid felt comfortable in the “office”. We would definitely stay there again when we return and there’s a vacancy!

Great location, very attentive property manager
The location is amazing, just blocks from the Capitol. The property manager was very attentive to anything we needed. I would recommend this place and is good for families too.

Perfect location, wonderful accommodations!
This home was a wonderful place to center our Washington DC vacation! My husband and I along with our four kids (ages 15, 14, 11 and 8) really enjoyed our time here. It is located within a couple of blocks of the Library of Congress and the Supreme Court. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The home is very clean, wonderfully appointed and so quaint! The owners were very quick and polite in every question I had. Even when the home needed some repairs during our stay, they were professional, quick and very courteous. We would happily stay here again!

Great location, close to everything.
Very nice, centrally located townhouse. Could not have asked for a better location, four blocks from the capitol and a corner market two doors down. Very nice neighborhood as well.

Charming, safe and sophisticated location makes you feel like your a part of the DC landscape.
Excellent place to stay while in DC with a high level of service from owner. We were steps from EVERYTHING and the quiet charming neighborhood made us feel like locals. Great, easy and free weekend parking. Safe and sophisticated location. Bike rental located one door down led to fun and spontaneous self guided tours for our older teens during down times. We would love to return and wIll be recommending.

Comfortable apartment, unbeatable location
We had a great short stay. The apartment accommodated our family of 4 very comfortably with all the amenities needed for our stay. The jacuzzi bathtub was a great feature after a long day of sightseeing. Brian and Luis were responsive and accommodating. The location is a short walk to the Capitol Building and the mall in a gorgeous neighborhood. Highly recommend!

Fantastic location
The location of this apartment was excellent and we could walk to many attractions with excellent restaurants and Union Station close by. The apartment retains its old word charm and history while having all the modern conveniences to make this a comfortable stay such as washer and dryer and dishwasher. Beds were comfortable. The stairs are quite steep which is typical of houses of this era but you do need to be careful when going up and down. We would certainly recommend this apartment if visiting Washington.

Great location right on Capital Hill
Perfect location for visiting the Capital and the monuments. Two small grocery markets within the block. Restaurants and bars on Penn Ave about 3 blocks away. Beautiful unit is on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the building. If you're not good with negotiating narrow steep stairs you might have an issue with this unit though. Kitchen had all the amenities we needed. Wifi was fast and reliable. Neighborhood felt safe (people jogging around at all hours). Not much parking in the area, option given by the owner worked though. The spot was and 2 1/2 blocks from unit. It was a little tight for an SUV and that's considering there where 2 sub compacts on either side, but that's probably par for the course around there.
There were a few cons, but nothing that would keep me from staying there again. One is that although the unit could sleep 5-6 there is only one real bed. To that, if you're going to have more than 2 stay there it might be nice to wire in another TV in the 3rd floor room. Last, and this is probably nothing the owner can help, but the neighbors next door (West side), seemed to like to celebrate the weekend's arrival. We were told, before our stay, to try and be respectful of others peace and quiet around the unit, but the neighbors didn't send to get that memo. They were a little loud late into the night both Fri and Sat. Once again, nothing that keep me from recommending this unit though.

3 blocks east of the Capitol in charming Capitol Hill.
It is a charming little row house with a lot of history. You really get the D.C. experience/feel by staying here! Can't beat the location!! I believe this property is normally rented out to people in town on business, but there were some openings so our family stayed here for a week vacation. People are friendly in the area and it is lively in the early evening with joggers, walkers, cyclists, and neighbors visiting. Corner market at end of block. Noise was normally not an issue, but there are definitely some young people renting in the area that enjoy a lively weekend late night get together. The property owner (Brian w/Capitol Hill Stay) was very helpful whenever we had concerns. Per request they stopped by to give us extra blankets and change out a couple light bulbs. Wonderful experience!!

Had a great time
Enjoyed the apartment. Loved feeling apart of Captiol Hill. So much better than an a Hotel. Everything in the apartment was in good condition and clean. Slept well and very importantly We all felt quite safe in the area. Loved having the Capitol a few blocks away. Thanks Brian for your quick responses and making us feel welcome.

Location, location, location, and comfort
Celebrated my 50th with my 4 adult kids for a week walking to the Smithsonian Museums and the mall sights. This was the perfect rental for us. Master bed was comfortable while the other bed was slightly less.Put the couch mattress on the floor if you need to use it.
The unit has everything you need to make a nice dinner and a great water filter in the fridge door. The bathroom is wonderful and the washer and dryer are a plus.
There is a store right next door and a decent breakfast across the road.
We are from Oregon and it was cool seeing the photo of Multnoma Falls (a local spot) in the hall upstairs.
Brian was very attentive and the great little home was well worth the money....

Perfect housing for 2 musicians!
Thank you so much for providing great housing for our visiting artists. They enjoyed being so conveniently near our theater and said the house was comfortable. Brian was flexible about early check-in and late check-out. Information about the house was provided in a timely manner and Brian answered all of my questions quickly and thoroughly. I will definitely be using this location again.

We would definitely stay here again. So close to the Folgier Library, the Capitol, Supreme Court, etc. a lovely D.C. Neighborhood. FYI - Internal stairs are steep.

Really nice property in a quiet neighborhood 3 blocks to Capital. Attentive and helpful owner. Easy walk to Union Station and lots of restaurants. Great value.

Clean. Well kept. They shoot movie scenes in this gorgeous block or so says the friendly dry cleaners across the street. Last one was a Matt Damon and Angelina Jolie movie. Stairs going up are a little steep so if handicapped consider that. Otherwise flawless place. No car needed. Roof deck a bonus on a nice morning. Store and rental bikes next door came in handy.

My wife and I travel to DC often. Usually we stay with friends on Capitol Hill but this time we couldn't so we tried VRBO.
This is a great place. It's the whole top two floors of this historic but well renovated building. You don't share any party walls with anyone. Lots of light. Even more charm.
Everything was clean and well stocked. Back rooftop deck was perfect for coffee in the morning. The bed was comfortable and the linens were high quality. Open layout. First floor of apartment has kitchen and living room and back down a walkway is the smaller bedroom. Upstairs is the larger main bedroom and a really big bath with a big soaker tub a separate shower and a washer/dryer.
The set of stairs you take to get up to the apartment is a little steep since it looks like they are original from the house (built in the 1860s according to the owner). But the've got a good handrail and it's perfectly doable. It's got a separate entrance so we never saw the downstairs tenants. Great if you like your privacy, which we do. We met a former tenant at the diner across the street (Jimmy Ts, no frills but great little place). He had nothing but good things to say about the area and the property owners, who live nearby.
The block was gorgeous. Beautiful street. You can stand out front and see the US Capitol a couple blocks away.
There was a great guide to what's in the area in the apartment. That block has Jimmy Ts diner, two corner grocery stores, an ATM, and a charming used bookstore. Plenty of restaurants in easy walk distance. Absolutely beautiful neighborhood. No need for a car here. Uber was really inexpensive and very easy to get. There's a bikeshare kiosk right on the corner.
In short, it's a clean, charming place in a top DC neighborhood on a gorgeous block. There's nothing not to like here.

We had never stayed on Capitol Hill so we weren't sure what to expect.
Short answer is I'm glad we did. This apartment was perfect. It's the whole top two floors so it's very private. It gets lots of light and feels very clean and open. Back roof deck was a nice touch. Nice large open kitchen. Wifi was very fast.
It's clearly a historic old building but it's been updated and maintained really nice. The furnishings were high quality. Plenty of towels and blankets dishes and such were provided.
Beautiful block. There were two corner grocery stores and a nice little neighborhood diner in the block. It's really neat to be able to stand in the front yard and see the US Capitol building a couple blocks away. We knew this was a wealthy area but we were sortof shocked when we went to an open house around the corner. A small house not that much bigger than this apartment was nearly a million dollars. We ended up walking around the neighborhood after dinner every night (plenty of good restaurants in walking distance in this area) since I doubt we will get a chance to come back to Washington anytime soon.
We would definitely stay here again.
