About this house rental
Little House is a self-contained building in the back of our garden in Havelock North.
Built in 2010, it is 35m2 in size with double glazing, heat pump and modern amenities.
Suitable for singles, couples, a single parent with up to two kids or a couple with one child (there is a sofa bed in addition to the main bedroom).
Access is up our driveway and through our garden (past the side of our house) to the back of the property where Little House is located.
You will have full use of the back garden (shared with us!) between both houses and the area behind Little House (exclusively yours) too for the duration of your stay.
Please see the floor plan for the exact layout of Little House and other images taken of the inside and outside.
There are two eating areas exclusively for your use while you are staying, so you can make the most of the Hawke’s Bay sunshine!
Inside Little House you will find:
*A seating area with the sofa bed/couch (with LCD TV, Chromecast and Freeview) and a table.
*Kitchenette with hot plate, small fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster etc. Note: there is no sink in the kitchen due to local council rules, but there is a large one across the hallway as noted below.
*Bathroom with large sink for washing up (yourself and any dishes!) and full shower.
*Bedroom with clothes hanging space and double doors that open to the back seating area.
*High ceilings (4m) which make the space feel larger and David Trubridge lights in the seating area and bedroom.
*Modern/interesting decor (well, we think so!)

Our group of 3 friends loved our stay in this gorgeous little house located in a quiet street handy to town. The double bed and sofa bed were very comfortable, good shower, and private location. Josh responded to our messages promptly and was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend, good value.

We had a lovely stay here and great communication by the hosts. The house is compact but has everything you need and has been thoughtfully and stylishly designed. We ate in one night and really enjoyed just being able to relax. We also walked into Havelock North for dinner and its well lit and easy to do. We found this to be a great base for exploring the area and it was lovely and quiet at night. Highly recommend as a place to stay and look forward to coming back again.

Little House is a real gem and Amy and Josh are fantastic hosts. Amy greeted me as I walked up the drive and guided me to the accommodation. The minute she opened the door I felt the welcoming pull of Little House. It was a perfect place for me to stay. It's cosy and comfortable with everything you need and I love the artwork. I also really appreciated Amy and Josh's commitment to recycling, with a dedicated recycling bin and a container for compostables. Warm and welcoming is my summary of both Little House and Amy & Josh as hosts. I'll be back for sure.

Love staying at the Little House in Havelock North, very comfortable,quiet and private. 5 minutes from a great selection of cafes and restaurants. Easy drive to Hastings and Napier and surrounding attractions. Great hosts.

No of street parking. The lead to the Little House at the back of the property was to say the least very scruffy, dark in places at night. In the kitchenette no sink with running water which was very unsatisfactory especially since the bench was so narrow. Quite difficult for doing dishes. I was very surpised by this being allowed in Bookabach properties. It was quiet.

It was a novel experience because we were there through Cyclone Gabrielle, but the hosts were very understanding and we did not suffer other than power outage and communication intermittent. Others in the region were far worse off.
