Southern Comfort is situated in the highly desirable SW Cape. Centrally located with Gulf Access, walking distance to restaurants and shopping, near Tarpon Point Marina with all of its restaurants and shops. The area is a favorite for walking, biking and relaxing.
As soon as you open the double glass doors, you will be entering a large living room with breathtaking views. This home offers tons of space, one large master suites with patio access and en-suite bathrooms, an almost endless view of a magnificent canal basin, guaranteeing entertainment with the passing boats but still being in the center of great conveniences. This location offers a speedy drive to all central locations in Cape Coral. It is about 15 minutes to Matlacha, 30 minutes to Fort Myers Beach and about 45 minutes to Florida International Airport depending on traffic and time.
Guests can enjoy all that SW Florida has to offer from the convenience of an immaculate, luxury and well-designed open vacation home.
Southern Comfort features beautiful airy décor, the five bedrooms are fitting for a larger group or multiple families with two king size bedrooms, two queen bedrooms and one room featuring two twin beds.
The main bedroom has its’ own en-suite bathroom with walk-in closet, the second of the king bedrooms and queen bedroom have their private bathroom of a small hallway which gives you plenty of privacy. The third queen bedroom is near the ½ bath, and the twin bedroom is across the full bath that is also accessible from the pool area. There is a separate coffee/wine bar with additional cabinet space.
The Villa can fit up to 10 guests very comfortably with this generous set up.
For your convenience, all linens for your stay are included and long-term stays are permitted.
The interior boasts a very open floor plan with plenty of light and space as well as very modern amenities. The kitchen, living room and dining table offer plenty of options to hang out, entertain and still be in the center of everything.
The glass front doors bring in plenty of light when arriving at your vacation retreat.
From the large, fully equipped kitchen with its spacious island there is sufficient space to make great family memories and not feel separated from your loved ones.
Wireless internet, and a washer and dryer are also available for your convenience.
Highlights of the outside include: a large lanai waiting to be used for sunbathing, grilling, lounging, outdoor shower, al fresco dining with a large table that has plenty of seating for 10 guests, entertaining, swimming in the heated pool, enjoying the jacuzzi or just relaxing on the large dock watching the fish jump or enjoying unforgettable sunsets with the western exposure. You can fish right off the seawall or just watch the passing by boats.
The Oversized Boat Dock offers additional space for Lounging and Taning and comes with a lift for your boat or any rental boat you like to charger during your stay.

I I wish vrbo would publish rough floor plans on rentals. This house did not work for our group.. proximity to bathrooms was not great. Description was accurate but not envisioned.
The amount of electricity included (75.00) a week is unrealistic in the Florida heat. The rental is based on a family of 4. As a family of 10 we paid an extra of $20 per person per day for 6 extras(960.00)for us but none of that is applied to electricity so we ended up being charged an additional $132. Yes, this was addressed in the “ contract “ we agreed to but it’s extreme. I’m just wanting to inform future renters. We were really careful to keep doors closed etc.
The lack of information regarding the operation of stovetop made cooking difficult.. the internet did not reach well on opposite side of house. Be careful on steps to dock.
The house was spacious and very clean. Be prepared to take everything with you..salt and pepper were left there but nothing else. The basic supplies were what you expect for a hotel one night only.
There are better places to stay in the Cape..Do your research.. I failed to do mine which is why I’m writing this review. It’s not meant to be negative just informative.

Our stay was great, the house was very clean, decorated nicely and was bigger and better than we expected..The location was great for us. We will definitely try to stay here again if it's available. The only issues were that we thought someone was going to come over the 2nd day to go through the house with us but after I sent a picture of the electric meter I realized they weren't. We did have a few questions about the light switches and how to use the hottub/pool controller. We didn't contact the rental company.
A couple things to note:
There is an extra charge per person if there are more than 4 people-we thought that was odd since it is a 5 bedroom home.
If the cooktop won't heat- check your pan, it needs to be a specific kind for it to heat up-we googled the make of the cooktop to figure this out after it kept turning off.
A couple doors don't close all the way. The master and another bedroom doors didnt latch closed.
Don't leave food on the counters. We put some donuts on the counter and within 15 minutes there were tiny insects/ants?crawling all over them.
The house was very clean so I'm not sure if it a pest control issue?
Bring your own trash bags- you are expected to take the trash out but there are not any bags to use.
There were 5 adults (all over 55 yrs old) in the house and we were gone alot so I'm not sure how but we went over the $75 weekly allowance for the electric bill by about $45.

The house and neighborhood were very nice, there was 8 total people in our group, plenty of room for everyone. Great location, pool was very nice with a big dock, we rented a boat for a few days so the dock came in handy. Located in a culdesac so no traffic, there is a main road nearby but the noise didn't bother us, would definitely rent again. I just wished that all the rental houses would have a cooler that we could use, it would be a small investment that people would like.

Family of 7 trip the kids were 16 and 18! Had the best time ever at the beautiful Southern Comfort... It was everything we hoped for and loved loved the outdoor space and pool! The only thing I could recommend is that you share in the book or online how to set up the music system down loads etc... it took us a couple days to get that find/ figured out and it is so beautiful outside you want music from the very beginning!

All excellent until we received an extra electricity bill which we did not expect as we did not get one in the previous house we stayed at and only did a few more washes!

There are a few things that need to be fixed: The toilets do not flush properly every time - about half the time they do not flush, the full bath in front of the house has a towel bar that is falling off, the bath faucet is falling off, one of the sink faucets is loose, we could not figure out how to turn on the heat.
A suggestion is to label all the switches (of which there were many) as to what they do to.

Very relaxing stay, only negative was that the previous occupant must had dropped a glass in the kitchen as both my wife and I got small shards of glass in our bare feet as we walked in the kitchen area. We were not given any warning and the cleaning process should be reviewed Check in the day after arrival was very easy and friendly. Directions and instructions for entry we also very clear.

The house was even more gorgeous than in the photographs. The property was very clean and completely stocked with everything that you would need. We found the home to be such a relaxing and beautiful environment...so much so that we caught ourselves wanting to stay in rather than go out, while on vacation. We are a family of six with children ranging in all ages and each and everyone of us loved this home. Helpful and kind.

Beautiful home & location. Only real issue were the bugs, especially in the kitchen but we chose to deal with it versus reaching out. There was only one washcloth & two hand towels in the whole home & there were six of staying. Lots of bath towels so we used those instead. Any questions we had prior to arrival were quickly responded to. Text messages on day of arrival were also quickly responded to.

This house was everything we hoped for. It was very roomy and easily accommodated all of our guests. The view outside is gorgeous and everything was very nicely styled in the home. The entire home was also very clean upon check in. It took us a little bit to figure out how to turn on and connect to the surround sound speakers in the home and to figure out some of the TVs since there were so many different remotes. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again.

We absolutely loved everything about this house. It was gorgeous inside and out. It has an amazing pool/dock area. It was huge and felt very comfortable for the amount of people we had staying with us. It also was stocked with all the amenities you could possibly need. Huge house with a beautiful view
There were 8 of us (4 adults, 2 teens and 2 younger) and we had a blast. PLENTY of room inside and out. We spent most of our time outside sitting around the table while the kids enjoyed the pool. Very quiet neighborhood with a gorgeous view. Hot tub was definitely relaxing. Some nearby restaurants we enjoyed were Duffy's, Two Meatballs in the Kitchen (best Italian food I've ever had) and Boat House Tiki Bar and Grille.

Birthday Celebration for four days at this Home was fantastic. The home is fully equipped with everything we needed for the stay. I was super impressed with the cleanliness inside and out. Cape Coral getaway
We had a wonderful stay. The house was perfectly spaces out for big group entertaining, but also allowed that quiet, private down time when you needed it. It was the perfect place to come home to after a hot day out on the water or at the beach to relax, swim and play done pool. We made some wonderful family memories there!

High standard holiday house with an amazing main bedroom and bathroom
We were 2 families staying in the house and thoroughly enjoyed our week. Fantastic living room and kitchen with all equipment we needed, the pool table was great fun for our youths and the terasse was used both daytime and night time. The location itself requires a car, there is about 25 minutes drive to Sanibel where we visited 2 times during our stay. 3 minutes drive to food store Publix, and Duffy`s sports grill, 5 minutes walk away, serves good sports pub food where we went one night. The house is in a quiet and safe area. We did not have any boat when there, however I guess that would have been fun to have a boat available as well. You cannot go wrong with this house.

This house will not disappoint if you are looking for a well equipped, clean, luxurious place to call home for a Florida vacation. I can honestly say that my expectations were exceeded upon entering the home. Quite often the property does not live up to the pictures but that is not the case with this property.
