Spa under construction, hotel needs in general some renovation. Price too high for what we got in return. For that price not having Backup Power in case of loadshedding...

My favorite place to stay on the South Coast

Excellent breakfast with fruit, cereal, several options for cooked breakfast. Good generator, water, wifi - not always guaranteed on South Coast. Decent wine selection, dinner good and we appreciated the kitchen's flexibility to cater to my son's preferences. Amazing location with fabulous view of the ocean

More options for simple meals - eg if we didn't want a big meal - eg quick snack at lunchtime or to cater to picky eater

What an awesome getaway. The property is as stunning as the images imply with great views of the ocean and clean rooms. The gardens are so beautiful. It looked and felt like summer in July. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Great views with a short adventure walk to the beach. Definitely worth the trip.

He location is superb. The driveway from the main road to the lodge provide perfect sight seeing. The sea view and walk way to the beach from the room is excellent

Excellent staff fighting the good fight; yet lack of investment by owners shows up an establishment still dining out on

location is special and exceptional staff - Cindy and her team in essence make this lodge worth our stay. We traveled some distance and were rewarded by a warm reception and a clean SUV the next day! Huge space especially for Honeymoon suit and lovely breakfast. The staff are by far the greatest asset of the establishment.

Although our stay was very short I believe it was enough to make some telling conclusions. Regrettably, I believe it must be said that this venue may have won luxury awards in the past but is clearly in need of a capital injection by the owners to be able to justify the prices charged presently. Possibility a perfect storm of COVID, Riots and south coast infrastructure issues may have had a tougher effect on business preventing the required upkeep by owners to justify their high end prices in 2023. Yes they achieved many accolades in years past (much of this is advertised) and possibly their prices were justified then but compared to competitors I think they are pricing themselves out of the market for what they offer. The quality of the finishes in the honeymoon suite I believe should be better for a 5 star establishment, touches like the photographic art (faded) decor (dated) etc show up a business still dining out on a reputation made years ago. Supper was fine…but again at R300 p/p one would have expected more. Alchohol was crazy expensive as well.

Memorable vacation in this hidden Gem!

Great location on the beach. Room was very big. lovely sea views and access to beach. Amazing Breakfast every morning. Staff were kind and helpful. would definitely visit again.

I can't believe this place is rated 5 star. Do they not get evaluated to ensure they meet a standard

Location was excellent, secluded and private. great views and proximity to beach. great infrastructure but poorly maintained and dilapidated.

Shocking service from the host and manager. Rooms smelled damp and was very dirty, The bedding and pillows smelled so bad we could not sleep. bathroom was in a bad state. shower door/taps/fittings/toilet were all broken or loose. room curtain rail was loose and curtains were hanging. We scheduled a couples massage in the spa 3 weeks in advance but were told only when we arrived that one of the masseuses didn't turn up so they can only do one of the massages. The manager responded very rudely when we declined this. Breakfast service took 90 minutes, 60 minutes worth of waiting time which made us late for check out.

A beautiful experience

This is truly a hidden gem, we stayed in the exquisite honey moon suite, the views of the ocean are breath taking, we actually were lucky enough to spot some dolphins and a whale from our balcony! Private access to the beach was an absolute bonus. Overall privacy was exceptional, we didnt even have to close our curtains ever. The staff was amazing, always ready to serve with a smile. The art work all around us amazing. Definitely would come back.

The view was spectacular. Cindy, Sizwe and Abigail were exceptional hosts. Very attentive and they made our stay remarkable. Oh and our favorite place was the wine cellar.

Stunning and amazing

What an amazing place and amazing people. Loved everything! Felt at home. The staff were fantastic. Big genuine smiles, always there to assist. Very welcoming atmosphere. Would highly recommend to any traveller. Rooms were perfect, and very comfortable and stunning. Thank you to management and team for making our stay memorable .

We had a lovely stay overall and would recommend the place.

the service was exceptional and staff was very friendly. the views are breathtaking. loved the peacefulness that came with the place.

the shower was broken and had only half the door which led to water being spilled on the floor each time we take a shower. the Spa area could be upgraded- no hangers for us to hang out clothes and floor was quite dirty.

One of the best places we have been

Breakfast was great. Staff , I think the Owner of Days At Sea should be very proud to have them, they are excellent and will really go out of their way to make it enjoyable. Moly the chef is excellent we picked up a few kilograms 🙄
