Booking Bewertungen spiegeln nicht den aktuellen Zustand der Zimmer wieder Schimmel im Bade (ist zu verkraften) und Schlafzimmer (geht gar nicht) Kein Mückennetz, wie in der Zimmerbeschreibung beschrieben Schlechtes WIFI sehr langsam Für den Preis gibt es bessere Unterkünfte

Très bon logement niveau qualité prix

Très bien, l’hôte est aux petits soins, la vue est top, la chambre est propre.

Es war alles sehr sauber. Es gab alles was man braucht wlan, Handtücher, Seife und Klopapier. Wir haben uns wirklich wohl gefühlt, der Gastgeber hat sich gut um uns gekümmert und beraten. Gerne wieder :)

Comfy room with a nice view on Kandy

We spent 3 nights at Kelum homestay. Our rooms were clean and comfortable with lamps close to the bed, fan and hot water, and a terrace with a very nice view on Bogambara stadium and the city behind. Our rooms were separated by an open space with a table where we had breakfast (prepared by ourselves - the kitchen and its fridge, microwave oven, boiler and cooking fire were at our disposal) and also dinner one night (take away) with the nice view on the city and the sound of the river below in the foreground. The host, who had worked in the Netherlands and Italy (and speaks Italian as well as English), helped us when we looked for a guide to walk in the Knuckles Range (we however chose another guide).

Nous recommandons ce logement et surtout cet hôte d’une extrême gentillesse

La gentillesse de notre hôte ❤️ Le logement était très propre, Nous avons pu confier notre linge (2 backpacks) et en une journée le linge était propre, repassé et plié. La vue est très belle depuis le balcon Il nous a trouvé très rapidement et facilement tuk tuk pour prendre le train

Le lit était double mais un peu petit et matelas trop fin

Calme and clean accommodation

Clean accommodation Hospitality Laundry service and optional breakfast with a supplement Possibility to reserve tickets for the traditional dance show in town and Kelum menaged to reserve the front seats. Very very nice and calming view. Listening the sound of a little waterfall while falling to sleep.

Best homestay

The homestay was perfect! The location with the balcony view next to the small waterfall was perfect for chill evenings. Although it’s calm and a nice nature view, you are very central in the city. you can walk by foot to the Kandy lake in 10 minutes. The homestay itself was also very clean and the host Kelum is a really nice guy, who likes to help you and give you ideas, what to visit in Kandy. All in all the Homestay is really perfect 😊

Exceptional

This was one of the best places we stayed in Sri-Lanka. Really clean, good view, and a really nice host. You can also see monkeys from the balcony. Wi-Fi works really good, you receive toiletters and clean towels. All in all, great experience

Very good

Very clean place. Huge bathroom. Great view from the balcony. Great host, who were willing to offer and make coffee for me. Close to the center

To get there you need to go up the hill then go down by very narrow path and stairs . Not convenient if you have baggage. Room is very humid and in Kandy sometimes is very cold. they don’t have worm sheets I was cold all night. And If you can’t sleep if there is a noice like me then not good cause there is small beautiful waterfall close to the house. Water not warm at all.

amazing location close to center by foot , waking up to the sound of the waterfall is just perfect because you don’t hear the city sound pollution , Kelum is a very honorable man , full of life with a big warm heart always ready to help you in any circumstances! super friendly atmosphere in the house , this will definitely be our staying place in Kandy . his mother cooks beautiful rotti for breaky btw !!

Simple room with a great view

The room has a great view over Kandy and the host ist very friendly. After a 10 minute walk you can reach the center of Kandy and the restaurants.

The whole floor in the bathroom gets very wet after the shower. Unfortunately one evening we had a lot of ants in the room which came through the door.

Nice place with a little walk up

The room was very clean and komfortable. It looks like the pictures. There is a small creek behind the homestay that you can hear and make us feel like we aren't in a city. Otherwise it was very quite. We didn't meet our host, just his family.

We didn't found it directly. Its a bit hide behind another homestay. Important to know: you have to walk up the hill and its a 15-20 minutes to the trainstation and city centre. Unfortunately there was no breakfast because of the actual situation.

Kelum was very friendly and helpful. Organised a tuktuk ride to the town for us. we really enjoyed the evening on the terrace with him. the terrace offers a great view. the homestay is a 10 minute walk away from the City Center. we enjoyed that it was a calm, chilled and peaceful Place where you could recover from the noisy city.

This place is so nice to relax and just to enjoy nature after a visit in loud and noisy Kandy. It is a 5-10 min walk in the City and the Host Kelum is a very kind guy who talked good care of you. He helps and manages everything if you have a problem. Also recommended a cheap and good tuktuk driver. Breakfast was also delicious!

The place near the water in the middle of green but really near to the centre it’s amazing! I had one night of storm and was amazing to sit there to enjoy talking with Kelum as we were close friends!

Little paradise in Kandy

Super nice place near a small waterfall, 15 min. walk to the center. Kelum is a very helpful and friendly owner, always making sure that you are happy and satisfied. He even arranged tickets for the first row to see the dance show (which is definitely worth watching). The breakfast is also amazing and very rich. Comfy beds, modern and new facilities.

Good location and new,clean room

I read lots of good reviews about host. In my case he was not that much good. He met me gave me a key, took money and gone(I’ didn’t see him 2 days). WiFi is not working normal, I told them but that couldn’t fix. The bed is quite noice i woke up 1826 time, some workers working from 8 am outside next to the door, so if you are not early bird it’s not for you. So this is worst property for me in my last 3 month traveling...sorry

This was the best place we stayed in in Sri Lanka. Extremely comfortable, exceptional view, and helpful, polite owner. Kelum would help you with everything and make your stay worthwhile. He has a tuk tuk which makes everything soooo much easier, speaks great English and Italian and would be your tour guide around Kandy for a very reasonable price. The rooms are spacious, sparkly clean and have wonderful view (just look at the picture,what else do you need!), a place for relaxation. Kelum Homestay simply couldn't be better! Thank you, Kelum, for making our stay unforgettable! ❤️
