Mouldy with cockroaches

Stayed here last year for a month from just before Christmas 2022 to middle of January 2023 and loved it. Large apartment, number 35, it was clean, in the middle block with a great view of the sea, with a balcony where you were shielded from the balconies of the apartments next to it. It was on a middle floor so stairs weren't a problem but not so low we looked at the block infront rather than the sea or had a balcony effectively level with the pavement with zero privacy from people walking by. Because we were so well situated we couldn't understand the many bad reviews about mould, broken tiles, no heating, noise etc. We could see there were a few issues with the place and we thought the way some staff at reception wouldn't even look up from their phones to say hello back to you was rude but we didn't let that bother us. We kept the apartment spotless, broke nothing and spent the day cleaning before we left, even washing out cupboards, cleaning the seals on the fridge, scrubbing the floors, washing the glass on the shower and balcony doors and stripping the beds. Apart from putting clean sheets on the beds there was nothing really for the cleaning staff to do for the new arrivals and it was cleaner than when we arrived. We never made any noise and never bothered reception once for anything the whole time we were there and certainly made no complaints, even when many were complaining about the large groups of young people who book a few rooms together over New Year's Eve every year and spend from roughly 10am to 4am drinking, playing loud music and shouting on their balconies or the people staying who often made noise last at night coming home drunk. We were so happy last year we booked for a month this year too despite the price taking a huge, roughly 50%, jump from last year. Well, we found out this year what people meant when they left bad reviews.

Very recommend, great studio apartment

Great studio apartment, with equipment in the kitchen. Very good location between the beach and the bars area. The staff was very nice and helpful.

there is a fire place just beside the bed and the smell like a cigarets . there is an emergency sign inside the room and it’s not possible to switch it off, so you sleep with light on at night

Good location. We moved room after a couple of days as the first room was cold. The second room was much better with a beautiful sea view from the balcony. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

There were workmen in the room above us dragging furniture around from very early in the morning (7am ish) until late at night (around 10.30pm). Breakfast was not good and not what was promised. ⁷

I'm not satisfied at all worst experience till now with booking.com first at the check-in they told me give us 100 euro cash as room security n then room with no service bad experience we haven't sleep whole night. I told I have 50euro cash they told we will give u the room till 100 euro cash they waste the time first if u noms like this u need to mention it in your website . Totally wastage of money.

I enjoyed my stay at Soldoiro the staff were friendly and helpful. I was there for a few weeks first I stayed in a one bedroom apartment it was small but comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and the bed was comfortable but the wifi wasn't great it was intermittent. I then moved to a studio apartment the best thing about this room was the wonderful sea view and the wifi reception was excellent. All in all I would stay here again.

I sprained my ankle when I tripped on the uneven paving outside the reception, despite that I still enjoyed my stay.

Superb value for money

The location is stunning, with views out to the sea. The beautiful beach is virtually on the doorstep. The room was spotless and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The room that I was initially given wasn't to my liking as I'm claustrophobic, but there was no issue with changing once I spoke to the team there. Fabulous. Would definitely stay again.

I found the basement room a little too dark and enclosed for me, but as I mentioned, the staff were more than happy to accommodate a change of room.

Excellent location

The apartment was very damp..the heater had to be on the whole time while we in , walls & curtains had mould on them ..toilet window couldn't open to let the steam out..very poor Internet connection.

place to stay with friends rather than as a couple.

cooking facilities in room were good. Location is excellent, 2 min walk from the strip and beach. it is has a supermarket very close by and a pool with a bar.

we got a studio room and considering the prices of other hotels in the area it was good value but it just wasn’t for us. the sofa bed was very comfortable and the table outside on the balcony was dirty, drink stains all over it. also walls are very thin, we woke up to hearing people vomiting or getting in from nights out. this hotel is more for groups of friends rather than a couple.
