A Gem in Lugano

Hotel was wonderful . Loved the location and the cafe , restaurant beneath the accommodation was fabulous . Room whilst small was clean and very comfortable . Bathroom was great spacious and a very good shower ! This hotel is a little gem in beautiful Lugano

It would have been good to know in advance that there was an easier way to get yo hotel by taking the funicular

good location but value for money is not adequate

great location, the breakfast buffet offered excellent choices and was of high quality. Good size bathroom.

Bedroom is really far too small for two adults. no desk for working. no facility whatsoever, like coffee maker or even hot water boiler. opening of breakfast room at 07.30 is really too late for our taste and habits

Very friendly, small hotel in the heart of Lugano. In summertime it may be quite noisy.

It's a three-star hotel, but in fact it meets four-star-standard. You enter by the bistro/shop with a great ambiance. That's the heart of the hotel, there are only a few rooms on the upper floors. Excellent breakfast except Xmas-day when the the kitchen of the bistro was closed. So there were no omelets that day and no eggs. The Staff is very friendly in a informal way.

Lovely hotel and grounds located within walking distance of the park/ruins.

Lovely grounds and the layout of the rooms, and the hotel‘s location, which is convenient to downtown and to the park/ruins. Also, the hotel‘s staff was very warm and helpful.

Staff were great. Bar on roof wonderful.

The first room they gave me was really noisy; not just street noise but something internal as well. They moved me on my 3rd night and all good after that.

Located in central Locarno and close to main attractions and via funicular and station. Comfortable bed and all necessary amenities with no frills.

On second floor and noisy cafe and delicatessen on lower floors. Limited check in hours for travellers, although some flexibility.

Very quirky and interesting set up......perhaps best for weekend getaway

The location was amazing. ....steps away from the funicular which you get on from the train station and right in center kf the city.

Finding the hotel was bit tricky.....you have to go through the restaurant and the reception is on the 2nd floor...or the european 1st fl. But thrre are no signs to indicate this. The room: it was a loft stle suite with 2 set of stairs .. one leading from the door to yet another door to get to the suite.....then another leading to the bedroom. It isnt ideal for anyobe with heavy luggage because service is not their forte and you are on your own for the .ost part. All the plug is inconveniently located so chrging my phone was easiest in the bathroom Contstant scent of the food in the building may not be ideal for all

Great air conditioner. Room was big and comfortable. My wife loved the capucho at the restaurant. Three best one of 8 countries across Europe

The restaurant below was too noisy for our room on level 2, but they moved us to level 3 and fixed the problem.

very central location, room and bathroom very spacious, beds are comfy, but main plus is the reception staff who were allsuper friendly and even organised an early breakfast for us on Sunday because we had to go to an event!

at night one can hear people chatting in the narrow streets below the windows

Great location, matress a bit hard, my „suite“ was not too big but ok. Great local food and wine at the own restaurant on the ground floor

Great spot for a night or weekend, but expensive for a family.

Great location in centre of town, with nice facilities.

No parking on-site, but the public car park around the corner was fine, and it’s possible to load/unload the car in frog the hotel.

Great location, 1 min from the funicular to Lugano Train Station. Friendly staff. Great breakfast.

The room was comfortable and clean and the location was great.

Mozzarella room, 2nd floor. Windows opened to atrium.

Our windows opened to the atrium with the restaurant below. It was noisy, especially when trying to sleep and there was cleanup going. There was light coming into the room until clean up was done which was around midnight.
