A warm , welcoming stay in a stunning location

The property is high on the hillside looking over the most amazing valley. The views are beautiful. The hosts were very welcoming, friendly and kind. The service and hospitality was outstanding. Our dinner and and breakfast were wonderful too ❤️

incredible hotel !

Everything! The rooms were nice and very clean and the view was just incredible! we had an amazing breakfast and the hotel employees and the owner were very kind and helped us with all our questions and helped us to get a taxi! thank you so much! can 100% recommend thins accommodation!

Paradise in the hills! A luxurious retreat in Kandy.

Stunning location with beautiful surroundings. The food was delicious, and the host went above and beyond to adapt the menu to our vegan requirements. The hotel kindly arranged our transfer to Kandy to catch the train the next morning, taking away all the stress and hassle. It is really easy to come to the villa through the main road and it takes only around 15 minutes to reach the Kandy town. I highly recommend this place which has a great hospitality towards with Selena.

Amazing, just want the doctor ordered.

We had an excellent rest, which was what my friend needed. The views were spectacular and just to sit on the balcony and take everything in was marvellous. The hosts catered to our every need, preparing separate meals for my friend who could not eat chillies. As she struggled with the steps they served breakfast on our balcony. I will be recommending this place to my friends and family.

Everything we could wish for and more!

Fantastic view especially good for bird watching. Hosts exceptional. Every request fulfilled. Very friendly people who were keen to cook us food that would be to our preference. Room was cleaned every day to high standard. We would highly recommend Villa Aranula.

Great place but unfortunately not close to the city center

I had a room with big balcony and great view. The bathtube was ideal to relax after a long day. Wifi also good

Lovely, homely place, with amazing food and quality service

The accommodation, while a little outside of Kandy (a 15 min tuk tuk ride), was in a perfect location, away from the hustle and bustle. The views were amazing, I even managed to see a sunrise on my last morning. The accomm is simple but has everything I needed, with a balcony and view. Plenty of hot water for showering. Wifi was great and worked well, which was important for me as I needed to work. I had booked b/fast but also decided to have dinners rather than go back into Kandy every evening. Suranji's food was amazing and plentiful both at b/f (fresh fruit juice, fruits, omelette, toast). Delicious Sri Lankan curries in the evening. I didn't go hungry, that's for sure 😋 Both Aruna and Suranji are attentive and helpful hosts, running clean accommodation and taking care of their guests well. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is a perfect place to chill out in. Thanks both, I also enjoyed our chats.

An awesome stay a bit off the trouble of Kandy, highly recommended!

Excellent location a bit outside of all the trouble in Kandy. The outdoor shower was awesome! The host and his wife were really attentive and helpful. Also the food at their site was awesome, you should not miss it! 10/10 would book again.

Absolutely perfect again!

Absolutely perfect again. Hosts are very nice, kind and helpful people, can be sure that they will do they best to assist you. Rooms are basic but very clean, well equipped and with fantastic view. Breakfast good too. Only 15min away by tuktuk from busy Kandy. Recommend.

A beautiful Villa facing a breathtaking view

Our stay at Villa Arunalu was a fantastic one. This beautiful villa is facing a range of breathtaking mountains and the view is just majestic. The owners are super nice and especially Suranji’s home made meals were very delicious and we really enjoyed our stay there. If you are looking for that hillside experience this is the place to be. Just a little pointer, do not take the shortcut to the villa, follow the owners directions it will get you to the place smoothly.

The most brilliant here are people. You can share love and get much more back. They are made of love. They can care about you like your own family. It's also very clean. And breakfast amazing. It was hard for me after time difference, but they serve breakfast in comfortable time for me. Everything is green, they also keep little fish in territory. I will come back anyway. Also I got opportunity to try native food

Must-stay if you’re in Kandy!

The hosts were super nice and accommodating, our room was tidy and clean, outdoor shower was fun and different and the breakfast was delicious and so generous. The view was also amazing!

Great stay and lovely people!

Dear Arunalu, this was by far the best stay we had on our 3 week vacation! The owners were so kind and lovely, the place was very clean and the view is amazing. Make sure to book the corner room with the outside shower and great view on the lake. Would recommend!

Outstanding experience

Unique hosts. We could have been chating for hours with this peaceful couple. Highly recommemd this particular house with breathtaking view. If you get up early morning, there’s a lot of birds, sounds of nature and relaxing atmosphere around. Do not miss their amazing breakfast!

- hosts were amazingly friendly and made delicious food, they really take care of you and make you feel at home - view from the room (outside shower and balcony) as well as the sitting/dining/breakfast area is sublime, and it’s very peaceful and tranquil there - bed and sheets were very comfortable

Fantastic hosts and amazing food

Fantastic hosts who are extremely helpful and warm-hearted. Fixed a lunchbox for us as we missed the breakfast due to an early departure, and the other day they drove us to the train station. Moreover the bed is really comfy, the view from the villa fantastic and the food... Delicious! Best curry we had so far.

The road to the villa is quite steep and some taxi drivers find it difficult to locate.

Good place for a night stay

The hosts are very nice.

Food si ok but nothing special and the location is not the best one, quite far from the cityand a lot of unfinished buildings in the landscape. Also, i could not see the lake image from the main picture.
